WWE Monday Night RAW 12/13/10

We see a recap from last week on RAW, where Ricky Steamboat shocked the world and became the WWE Champion. Tonight on this three hour edition of RAW, the 2010 Slammy Awards will take place, as we are six days and counting to TLC.

We see Ricky Steamboat make his way down to the ring, to a loud round of cheers, as he holds the WWE Championship over his head, as he slides to the ring. Steamboat stands in the ring for several minutes, as he waits for the cheers to die down and once again, he thanks the fans for their support over the years. Many of the fans in the WWE Universe, their parents watched Steamboat have some classic battles but one battle that he never had was for the WWE Championship and now Steamboat now stands before us the WWE Champion. Steamboat says it is quite a moment and one he is proud of. However, he must face facts and know that despite he can still go, he doesn't know how many more times that he would go and this current crop of WWE Superstars are tougher than even some in his heyday. So Steamboat says that it wouldn't be right for him, a part time competitor at best, and an executive to take time away from a young and up and coming superstar, that will need that opportunity even more. Steamboat states that he's coming out tonight, to vacate the championship, and suspects the board of directors will have an announcement, but last week was his final match and the book is finally closed on his in ring career.

Out comes CM Punk along with the rest of the Illuminati. Punk puts over Steamboat as still having something left in the tank and Punk says that he saw a bit of the old fire, but Punk was distracted by some tensions in the Illuminati, so he let his guard down and Steamboat took advantage. Punk states that Steamboat can't retire just yet, namely he has some unfinished business with Punk, namely Punk's return match. Punk states that he's naming the return match to be this Sunday, December 19th, at TLC. The belt will be hung above the ring, so there will be no question of its location to distract Punk this time, and it will be a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. Punk talks about how Steamboat can gracefully back off, but he'll gracefully be leaving on a stretcher and joining Vince McMahon, Edge, Triple H, and the Undertaker all on the shelf. Steamboat accepts the challenge, stating that he'll lace the boots up one more time this Sunday at TLC and hold off relinquishing the title to put it on the line against Punk and tonight, Punk can choose two partners against Steamboat and his two partners in a tune up match. Punk accepts, saying that Steamboat will get a taste what's to come in a TLC Match.

Kofi Kingston and R-Truth defeated Dolph Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero when R-Truth pinned Ziggler with the Lie Detector in 05:24 This was a special challenge match for tonight, made on Superstars, as Ziggler and Chavo thought they deserved a Unified Tag Team Title Shot instead of Kingston and Truth at TLC. Kofi was beaten down in the corner, but he fights out of the corner. Kofi knocks down Ziggler and makes the tag to R-Truth who enters ring and runs wild. Lie Detector knocks out Ziggler and Trouble in Paradise knocks out Chavo as he tries to run interference. (B)

After the match, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth are jumped after the bell and beaten down by the Specialists. Double brain buster on Kofi and a German Suplex/Running Lariat. This Sunday, the Specialists put the Unified Tag Team Titles on the line against Kofi Kingston and R-Truth.

We head to the podium, where our hosts for the Slammy Awards, Eve Torres and Santino Marella welcome us to the show. Santino talks about how tonight its going to be full of great things and first up, its the Tag Team of the Year award. The nominations are Ziggler and Chavo, the Hart Dynasty, Bourne and Mysterio, Edge and Christian, The World's Greatest Tag Team, The Fortunate Sons, and the Specialists. We see Cody Rhodes a multi former tag team champion in his own right come out to present the award, with Rhodes talking about he has enough talent for two people and he should be up for this award. Nevertheless, the tag team of the year is Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio, who had a series of spectacular matches throughout the year. Out comes Bourne and Mysterio and immediately, the Specialists come out, talking about how there's a fix, talking about how they're undefeated as a team, and they should be awarded the award by default. An argument leads to a winner take all match being made for tonight, with the Specialists putting their Unified Tag Team Titles and undefeated streak on the line against the Tag Team of the Year award of Bourne and Mysterio.

Michelle McCool, Natalya, and Katie Lea defeated Beth Phoenix, Alexandra Madison, and Gail Kim when Katie Lea pinned Beth Phoenix after nailing her with a chair while the referee is distracted in 8:11 These six divas gave it their all, beating on each other and nailing each other with everything. Eventually Katie Lea nailed Beth Phoenix with a chair right to the face and pinned her. The Chairs Match will take place for the Undisputed Women's Title at TLC and the second week in a row, Katie Lea has used a chair to pin her opponent, this time the challenger for this Sunday. (C+)

We see Eve Torres and Santino return to announce the Breakout Superstar of the year award. Randy Orton comes out to present the award, but he states that this award is a waste of time, just like his match with Kane later tonight. He walks out, refusing to say another word, unless he gets a WWE championship match and the nominations are Justin Gabriel, Kaval, the Specialists, and Bryan Danielson. Bryan Danieslon is awarded the Breakout Star of the year. Danielson comes out, as he talks about how this Sunday, he's going to keep the ECW Championship and 2011 might be a year where he becomes the Superstar of the year.

WWE United States Champion Nick Dinsmore and Alberto Banderas defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Booker T and John Morrison when Banderas made Morrison submit to the Cross Armbreaker in 10:01 An intense tag team match, with Booker being trapped in the ring and double teamed throughout the match, but he makes a comeback. Tag made to Morrison, who runs wild but he hits the post, allowing Dinsmore to take out his shoulder and then Banderas to lock on the Cross Armbreaker for the tap out. (B-)

We have the award for match of the year, presented by Shawn Michaels, who has had many match of the year candidates in his day. The nominees are The RAW Elimination Chamber Match from Elimination Chamber, The Rock against Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 26, DX against Chris Jericho and CM Punk from Summerslam, CM Punk against Bryan Danielson in the King of the Ring Tournament Finals, Ted DiBiase against John Cena from Night of Champions, Batista against Triple H from Hell in a Cell, and Batista against John Cena from Survior Series. The winner as voted by the WWE Universe, is the Rock against Randy Orton from Wrestlemania 26 and highlights of that match is shown.

Randy Orton pinned Kane with the RKO after Snitsky was beating up Mike Knox on the floor in 8:11 Kane and Orton had a tough interpromotional match tonight on RAW with Orton staying one step ahead of Kane. Mike Knox who was in Kane's corner, is down to the ringside area, where he gets nailed from behind from Snitsky and this allows Orton to reverse the Choke Slam into the RKO for the pin. (B-)

Snitsky walks out and grabs a table out from underneath the ring before he sets up and then picks up Knox and throws him off the ring apron, causing him to crash through the table. Snitsky stands over the battered body of Knox and Kane gets up, with Snitsky deciding

We see Eve Torres and Santino welcome us back to the Slammy Awards and announce its time for the Most Shocking Moment of the year. Out comes Goldust, who has been part of some shocking stuff of his own right over the years, to present the award. The nominations are Mike Knox being revealed as Kane's long lost son, CM Punk beating Triple H at Wrestlemania 26, John Morrison winning the 2010 Royal Rumble, Ted DiBiase beating both Batista and John Cena at Summerslam, and the Illuminati's brutal savage beating on Vince McMahon. The Illuminati wins, with the entire group coming out, including Jack Swagger, who Punk introduces as their newest member. Goldust is promptly pushed from the podium and beaten up, by the Illuminati, just for the hell of it, then straws are drawn and William Regal is going to gain possession of the Slammy on behalf of the Illuminati. Regal looks at the Slammy with glee, like some kind of precious infant and states that he would like to thank the entire Illuminati, those who got him his start in England, all of the toerags that he roughed up over the years for being so bloody pathetic, the late and great Loch Ness, and last, but certainly not least, he would like to thank his former butler Jeeves. Regal talks about how tonight he's a true man's man, because he has a Slammy and he is going to hold it with pride, with honor and talks about how he is a testament to a time where men were men and not a bunch of rednecks, cross dressers, or cowboys. “What the bloody hell is this anyway. Wrestling or a Village People cover?” Punk thanks Regal and says that members of the Illuminati will be in action next in a ten man tag.

William Regal, Jack Swagger, Kaval, and the Hart Dynasty defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team, Jamie Noble, Justin Gabriel, and David Otunga when Regal pinned Noble with a half nelson suplex in 8:22 An action packed ten man tag team encounter, with all ten men beating on each other. The Illuminati continued their momentum, with Regal hitting a vicious half nelson suplex for the pin. (B-)

We introduce the Diva of the Year award, with the original Diva, Sunny coming out to make a guest appearance to present the award, to cheers from the WWE Universe. The nominations are Katie Lea Burchill, Mia Mancini, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool, and Gail Kim, with the winner being Beth Phoenix. Katie Lea comes out to accept the award on behalf of the Glamazon, but changes her mind, saying that she is going to take the award for herself and shoves Eve and Sunny, before clotheslining Santino. Katie Lea yells that she's going to take the title this Sunday and this is what she's going to do to Beth. She puts the award down and grabs a chair, before she violently bashes the chair over the Slammy again and again, busting the award up. Katie Lea leaves, as the Chairs Match for the Undisputed Women's Title is hype for this Sunday.

The Big Show and Mark Henry defeated Sheamus and Paul Burchill when Henry pinned Burchill with a splash after Show had knocked him unconscious with a punch in 8:21 Both teams battered each other from pillar to post, but the huge knockout punch of the Big Show proved to be the deciding factor, with Show nailing Burchill right in the face and Henry hitting the splash to score the pin. (B)

Next is the most extreme moment of the year, with Joey Styles coming out to present the award. We see Randy Orton throwing Shawn Michaels through the chamber pod glass at Elimination Chamber, Orton's vicious kick to win the Last Man Standing Match against John Cena, Frankie Kazarian hitting a super piledriver on Bryan Danielson on his ECW debut, Triple H using a sledgehammer to beat Batista, and Shawn Michaels getting beaten bloody by the Illuminati in War Games. The award goes to Triple H's sledgehammer victory over Batista and out comes CM Punk, to accept the award on behalf of Triple H, stating that this will be the final honor that Triple H will receive, due to his injuries and how Punk will mail him his Slammy along with his final paycheck by the end of the week. Punk walks off to a loud round of boos, telling the fans to enjoy the six man tag in the main event, when London, Kazarian, and Punk will take on Steamboat and whoever he chooses, to show that the Illuminati is once again united as one.

The Specialists defeated Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne when Lawrence Davis pinned Evan Bourne after nailing him with one of the belts to retain the Unified Tag Team Titles and to win the 2010 Tag Team of the Year Slammy Awards in 12:33 Both teams really went at it hard, but in the end, the tactics of the Specialists continued, with Rey tweaking his knee on a shove to the floor. Bourne is beaten and battered but Davis uses one of the belts to nail Bourne with as Courtier distracts the referee. Bourne and Mysterio might have voted as Tag Team of the Year by the WWE Universe, but the Specialists are now officially the tag team of the year, still undefeated as a tag team, and still the Unified Tag Team Champions. (B)

Next is the Superstar of the Year, with the nominees being The Undertaker, CM Punk, Randy Orton, John Cena, and Edge. The award is going to be presented by WWE Hall of Famer, Mean Gene Okerlund. Okerlund is about to announce the award, but out comes Ted DiBiase to the podium, who talks about, he heard a rumor that there is a last minute surge of votes that allowed the Fortunate Son to be the 2010 Superstar of the year and slides a briefcase, full of stacks of one hundred bills in it. Okerlund looks appalled but DiBiase slides a second briefcase, also containing stacks of money in it. Okerlund agrees, staying that due to a mass write in campaign, the Undertaker just lost the 2010 Superstar of the year award to Ted DiBiase. DiBiase grabs the Slammy, talking about how money can't buy what he is and that is a great athlete and also talks about how its a shame that the Undertaker is no longer with us, because DiBiase wanted to challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania 27 and be the one to end the fabled undefeated streak. The lights go out with the loud gong going off and the fans cheer, but they come back up without an incident and DiBiase laughs, calling the fans gullible and says that the Undertaker is gone this time and won't be coming back. DiBiase takes his ill gotten, bought Slammy with him as the fans are really giving him a massive amount of static.

Shawn Michaels, ECW Champion Bryan Danielson, and WWE Champion Ricky Steamboat defeated CM Punk, Frankie Kazarian, and Paul London when Steamboat pinned Punk with a roll up in 12:44 We close out RAW with the final match, an insane six man tag team match. The Illuminati appeared to be a well oiled machine for most of this match, but a mix up between Paul London and Frankie Kazarian lead to them getting into a shouting and then a shouting match and they eventually traded punches. This leads to Punk to be elbowed by Danielson, Superkicked by HBK, and rolled up by Steamboat for the pin. (B)

RAW goes out with hype for the Fatal Four Way TLC Match for the ECW Championship with Bryan Danielson defending against Paul London, Frankie Kazarian, and Matt Hardy and Ricky Steamboat defending the WWE Championship in a TLC Match against CM Punk this Sunday.

ECW On Sy Fy 12/14/10

We see CM Punk coming to the ring, with Paul London, Frankie Kazarian, Kaval, and Nick Dinsmore. Punk talks about how tonight, he's going to challenge Bryan Danielson for the ECW Championship and how he's going to be the one to beat Danielson for the title. London wants a piece of Matt Hardy, well tonight he gets it, in a Streetfight, but he warns London that he better do the right thing this time and not have another blow up like Monday. Coming up right now, Nick Dinsmore and Kaval will join forces to take on the World's Greatest Tag Team.

Kaval and Nick Dinsmore defeated the World's Greatest Tag Team when Dinsmore made Haas submit to a half Boston Crab in 8:55 Benjamin was worked over in the center of the ring, two on one but Benjamin fights out and hits a spin kick. Tag made to Haas, who runs wild, beating down both men but Kaval takes out the leg, which allows Dinsmore to apply a Half Boston Crab for the tap out. (B)

We see Paul London cut a promo in a darkened room, talking about how two years ago he was fired from WWE, for having the wrong reaction to a stupid publicity stunt and making it look like the absurdity it is. London talks about how time after time, he has been rejected and not given a fair shake, despite being able to wrestle circles around ninety five or more percent of the so called Sports Entertainment. London talks about how he returned to destroy and then rebuild the company that threw him to the side like a piece of used gum. London talks about how Matt Hardy represents the blight that is the machine of Sports Entertainment that ruined this sport, how the Hardy Boyz were hyped as top high flyers, but really, they were nothing special and the only thing that they could do was jump off of ladders. London talks about how he can do that and better, but he can also wrestle. The fans used to chant, “please don't die” at him, but when he is done with their heroes like Matt Hardy and Bryan Danielson, they'll wish he had. London says the last time he and Hardy were in the same ring with ladders, a man's face was broken and this Sunday, it could happen once again. In fact, something worse might happen then what happened on that night four years ago. London says that Matt Hardy's fans should pick up their best black mu-mu for this Sunday, because he is going to be destroyed and it is going to be a day of mourning. Providing he is able to make it to this Sunday. London says that he's out to become the ECW Champion and will take out anyone who gets in his way, including Kazarian. Kazarian could easily be crippled like London plans to do to Hardy and Danielson, Illuminati or not. London looks at the camera, focused and intent.

Drew McIntyre cuts a promo, talking about how his loss to Goldust two weeks ago was a fluke and called out the Bizzare one for their match.

Drew McIntyre pinned Goldust after putting his feet on the ropes for leverage in 8:11 McIntyre is knocked around, with Goldust being sent down to the canvas and hammered for several minutes. Goldust fired back from underneath and goes for the Powerslam but McIntyre hangs onto the ropes, before Goldust's legs collapse out from underneath him and McIntyre puts the feet on the ropes to score the pin. (C+)

We see Matt Hardy coming down to the ring, on crutches. He cuts a spirited promo, that despite a busted up ankle, he'll walk into TLC. Out comes Paul London from the crowd and Hardy fights London with a series of forearm smashes, while he is leaned up against the ropes but London goes low. London takes the crutch and busts it over the back of Hardy, drawing several boos. London jabs the crutch into the back of the ankle of Hardy, before grabbing a chair and folding it over the ankle of Hardy, before he jumps to the second rope and then Pillmanizes the ankle with a double foot stomp! Hardy might have had his ankle broken again!

ECW Champion Bryan Danielson defeated CM Punk via disqualification when Frnakie Kazarian entered the ring and nailed Danielson with the ECW Championship belt in 14:11 Both men are trading punches and kicks throughout the match, before some holds on the mat and some strikes, with Punk gaining the advantage, but not involved, with Danielson drops down and Dragon Suplex to Punk for a nearfall! Danielson beats on Punk and a series of elbows to the side of the head, but in comes Kazarian with the belt to nail Danielson with it. (B+)

Danielson is out and Kazarian beats on him, going for a piledriver but Danielson is fighting it. London rushes out and attacks Danielson, before he goes for a clothesline but Danielson ducks and London clotheslines Kazarian. Danielson rolls to the floor, as the rest of the Illuminati are out and he wisely escapes through the crowd. He's going to defend the ECW Championship against Kazarian, London, and Matt Hardy in a Four Way TLC Match this Sunday.

WWE Superstars 12/16/10

Tonight's main event on WGN America is a mixed tag team match with Jillian Hall and Cody Rhodes teaming up to take on Eve Torres and Chris Masters.

Evan Bourne pinned JTG with the Air Bourne in 8:22 Both men shook hands as a token of respect before this match. JTG and Bourne have a fun high flying encounter, with Bourne reversing a suplex into a DDT and then hitting the Air Bourne for the pin. (C+)

The Dudebusters defeated David Otunga and Justin Gabriel when Croft pinned Otunga after Baretta came off of the top rope with a kneedrop to the back of the head in 6:22 A return match with nine days ago, with Otunga and Gabriel beating the Dudebusters. Now the situation is reversed, with some shady tactics by the Busters getting the win. (D+)

Santino Marella pinned Rene Dupree with an Oklahoma Side Roll in 7:11 Dupree and Santino went back and forth, with Ezekiel Jackson at ringside to watch Dupree. Zack Ryder comes out to scout Santino, who he has had some problems with in recent weeks and Dupree whips Santino into the ropes but Santino reverses and Dupree is accidentally tripped up by Big Zeke, before Santino pulls out an Oklahoma Roll for the pin. (C-)

A look at TLC. The ECW Championship will be on the line, when Bryan Danielson defends against three top contenders in Frankie Kazarian, Matt Hardy and Paul London. The Unified Tag Team Titles will be at stakes when the Specialists square off against Kofi Kingston and R-Truth. United States Title on the line, when John Morrison tries to get the gold from Nick Dinsmore of the Illuminati. The WWE Women's Championship is on the line in a Chairs Match, when Beth Phoenix defends against the diabolical Katie Lea. A Ladder Match for the number one contendership for the World Heavyweight Title when Chris Jericho faces either Batista or Christian. The WWE Intercontinental Title will be on line, when Booker T puts the belt on the line against Alberto Banderas. Just added, two of the most disturbing, twisted men in all of WWE collide in a Tables Match, when Gene Snitsky goes one on one with Mike Knox. Plus the WWE Championship is on the line. Can the comeback of Ricky Steamboat continue or will CM Punk regain the championship? We'll find out as Ricky Steamboat puts the WWE Championship on the line against the former champion in a TLC Match. Finally Rey Mysterio has beaten John Cena three times in non title matches in the past several months, he finally gets his title shot, when he challenges Cena for the World Heavyweight Title in seventy two hours.

Chris Masters and Eve Torres defeated Cody Rhodes and Jillian Hall when Eve pinned Jillian with a DDT in 7:11 A typical mixed tag team match. In the end, Cody abandoned Jillian, allowing Masters to shove her right into the grip of Eve and get nailed with a DDT for the pin. (D+)

WWE Smackdown 12/17/10

We cut to the ring where Tables, Ladders, and Chairs are in the ring, with the World Heavyweight Title hanging above the ring and John Cena comes down to the ring, to a mixed reaction, slightly over half boos and a decent amount of cheers. Cena cuts a promo, talking about how in forty eight hours, he's going to face Rey Mysterio in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match with the World Heavyweight Title on the line. Cena talks about how the twisted steel of the chair can sting when slammed over the back or rattle the brains. Bones can be broken when someone gets knocked off a ladder. Backs can be bruised and ribs can be cracked when someone goes through a table. Add all three of those things and it could shorten or even end a career. Cena has been in TLC matches in the past and he says that this Sunday, he'll climb the Ladder one rung at a time. He talks about how people have said that he can't beat Rey Mysterio, but three times, Cena had his mind on upcoming title defenses, so a non title match was beneath his notice. This time, Rey has his full attention and Cena says that is not going to get beaten again. In fact, he has to has to keep World Heavyweight Championship and he hopes that Rey will respect the fact that needs to happen for the good of the WWE Universe.

Out comes Mysterio, who says that he respects Cena, but he has had a career that has left him walking a few steps slower and his knees are banged up. Rey could retire at any time, the clock is ticking on his career but he wants one more run on the top, with the World Heavyweight Title. Cena states that Rey has a lot of heart, but the name on the belt is heavyweight and Rey is not quite that, despite his skills. Cena talks about how Rey should have went after the Intercontinental Title or even the Unified Tag Team Titles. He could have even went over to ECW and went for that belt. Cena talks about how Rey's reign was not one of his shining moments the last time he held the belt, as he got squashed like an insect in every match and got pinned. Cena says that Rey isn't big enough to win the belt and to hold it with pride, no matter how skilled he is. Mysterio says that he might not be the biggest dog in the fight, but he has the biggest fight.

Cena invites Rey into the ring and says that the belt hanging above the ring is his and after this Sunday, the champ is here and Mysterio will be the latest person to lose to in a marquee match to John Cena. Cena says that he's overcome the odds time and time again, but there are no odds to overcome, as Mysterio can't beat him. Cena offers his hand, saying that the fact that Mysterio is not big enough to hold the World Heavyweight Title does not mean that he is not good and Cena respects him, so they should shake hands. Mysterio accepts the handshake and both men stare down, but Rey says that he might be smaller then Cena, but he's also quicker than Cena! Rey dropkicks Cena into the ropes and Cena is staggered, before he falls into position. 6-1-9 but Cena avoids it, going to the floor! Mysterio grabs a chair and baseball slides it into Cena's face, before he goes up the ladder, scrambling to the top and he takes the World Heavyweight Championship, before he took it down, holding the belt and dropping down off of the ladder. Cena looks flustered on the floor as the fans are going nuts, cheering for Mysterio. This Sunday, TLC with Rey Mysterio challenging John Cena for the World Heavyweight Title.

Gene Snitsky makes his way down to the ring, with a table, talking about how this Sunday, he'll finally finish off Mike Knox. It wasn't his fault what happened all those years ago but it will be his fault when he gets the victory and puts Knox through the table for the victory just like he did this Monday. Snitsky talks about how Knox will not rest in peace, but he'll rest in eternal agony.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Booker T pinned Gene Snitsky with a roll up after Mike Knox punched Snitsky in 8:11 The battle between Booker and Snitsky was not for the weak at heart, just like the match between Knox and Snitsky this Sunday would be in a Tables Match. Alberto Banderas watched the match from the rampway as well as Snitsky punch, kicked, and choked at Booker T, but Knox comes out and eventually a brawl lead to Knox punching Kane right in the face, into a roll up for the pin. (C-)

We see William Regal and the newest member of the Illuminati, Jack Swagger, cutting a promo, talking about how tonight, they are going to take out Mike Knox and Kane. Swagger talks about how tonight he is going to prove that he's the All American American and why he is one of the top competitors in the world and tells us how he respects Regal.

Alexandra Madison pinned Michelle McCool with a crucifix spun into a swinging DDT in 8:11 The winner of this match is the number one contender for the Undisputed Women's Title after TLC. A typical diva's match, with Michelle getting the advantage. Faith Breaker is blocked and Alexandra tried for a crucifix but it is blocked but then she turns it into a DDT, dropping Michelle on her head for the pin. (C+)

We see Batista, who cuts a relaxed promo, talking about how tonight he's going to beat Christian tonight and how he's going to beat Chris Jericho this Sunday and become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title. Batista says that it might be a Ladder Match which would put in at a disadvantage but Jericho can't climb a ladder if his spine is fractured and he is put in traction. In 2011, Batista will be the World Heavyweight Champion once again.

Alberto Banderas made Primo Colon submit to the Cross Armbreaker in 3:22 A pretty spirited effort by Banderas, who took the arm apart, throughout the match, before he tapped Primo out with the Cross Armbreaker. (C+)

We are backstage, where Christian is cutting a promo, talking about how he might have his back against the wall but he's fought some tough opponents before. 2011 will be his year and he has to beat Batista tonight, before taking on Chris Jericho this Sunday in the Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Title shot at the Royal Rumble. Christian returned to WWE almost two years ago, starting on ECW and now he's worked his way up onto Smackdown and he's finally going to take that next step. He's won pretty much every title on this business, except for the World Heavyweight Title and he's only two matches away from getting that chance at the Royal Rumble.

William Regal and Jack Swagger defeated Mike Knox and Kane when Regal pinned Kane after busting his Slammy over Kane's back in 10:11 Knox is cut off and beaten in the ring, until Kane makes a hot tag, beating on both me. Out comes Snitsky and Knox brawls with him. When the referee is distracted, Kane Choke Slams Swagger, but Regal has the Slammy and he busts it right over Kane's back and stuns him long enough for the pin. (B-)

Out comes Ted DiBiase, with his ill gotten 2010 Superstar of the Year Slammy Award. DiBiase talks about how 2010 was the best year of his life, having finally left Legacy, causing it to crumble, winning Money in the Bank, and becoming the World Heavyweight Championship. He says that 2011 was supposed to be even better, when he was supposed to end the Undertaker's winning streak at Wrestlemania 27 but now thanks to those masked thugs, that finished off the Undertaker, it won't happen. DiBiase states that instead, he's going to have to enter the 2011 Royal Rumble and win that, before challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. As Dibiase brags, a loud gong can be heard throughout the arena.

At that point the lights go out with some eerie chanting, as a pair of druids come out, carrying a casket to the ring. DiBiase looks stunned as the druids open up the casket, to reveal it filled with money and then the druids unmask to reveal Joe Hennig and Brett DiBiase of the Fortunate Sons, with Ted DiBiase laughing, telling the fans how gullible they were to fall for something. Ted DiBiase states that his father might have said that everyone has a price but DiBiase is priceless.

Christian pinned Batista with the Frog Splash in the Semifinals of the World Heavyweight Title Tournament in 15:22 Both men are beating on each other throughout this match. Back and forth action with lots of nearfalls. Chris Jericho is on commentary, talking about how it does not matter who he faces, because he will become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title. Batista hits a huge spinebuster, but Batista Bomb is countered into a spinning DDT and Christian climbs to the top rope, hitting the Frog Splash for the pin to advance to this Sunday. (B+)

Jericho jumps Christian from behind and lays him out with the Code Breaker. Jericho cuts a promo, talking about how Christian will never be the World Heavyweight Champion because he won't even make it to the title match, because Jericho will beat Christian. A Ladder Match this Sunday between Chris Jericho and Christian with the winner challenging for the World Heavyweight Title at the Royal Rumble. The World Heavyweight Title will be decided in a TLC Match when Rey Mysterio challenges against John Cena.
