WWE Superstars 2/3/11

A huge main event tonight on WGN America with Cody Rhodes against Chris Masters from Monday Night RAW!

The Fortunate Sons defeated Kung Funaki, Primo, and JTG when Brett DiBiase pinned JTG with a Spinebuster in 6:22 All three of the Fortunate Sons were in action against the rag tag trio of Funaki, Primo, and JTG, with Shad returning in a couple of weeks from injuries and perhaps Cryme Tyme making another run for the Unified Tag Team Titles currently held by the Specialists. JTG loses to the spinebuster of Brett DiBiase. (C-)

Vladimir Koslov pinned Nick Dinsmore with an elbow strike to the head in 0:10 Dinsmore goes for the Russian but he gets booted in the face and knocked out with an elbow to the head. Koslov pins Dinsmore. Afterwards, Koslov gives Dinsmore more elbows and then chokes him out, before throwing him to the floor like a piece of trash. Dinsmore was once a member of the Illuminati but since he got booted out, he's fallen from grace and this might be the last we see of Nick Dinsmore for a while. (D+)

La Resistance defeated Sterling King and Scott Avery when Dupree pinned King with the Au Revior in 5:02 The returning La Resistance did battle with the rag tag youngsters. Robert Conway and Rene Dupree are one of the many teams that could be potentially wanting a shot at the Unified Tag Team Titles held by the Specialists and they get the win, 2-0 since reuniting. (C-)

Out comes Jack Swagger, for the All American American Jack Swagger challenge, where if someone can last three minutes with Swagger or beat him, they get one million dollars cash and a United States Championship match on the next Monday Night RAW. Swagger looks to the crowd, before an individual dressed in a black shirt and sweat pants, who resembles a rat enters the ring, introduced as Conner O' Brian, who accepts the All American American challenge, saying that one million dollars will buy him a lot of cheese. Swagger picks the O'Brian apart easily, with a couple of quick flurries, but a gutwrench power bomb sets up the Ankle Lock for the tap out. Swagger asks if there are any other contenders, and suddenly out walks Charlie Haas. Swagger bails, saying that he's taken up all of the time that he needs to and says that Haas should have better luck next time. Haas, an accomplished athlete, could perhaps school Swagger.

A recap of RAW.

A look ahead to Smackdown where this week, the 2011 Royal Rumble winner Paul London squares off against Christian and a colossal battle with Batista going one on one with the demented and recently re-masked Kane! All this and more, plus all of the news for Elimination Chamber.

Chris Masters made Cody Rhodes submit to the Masterlock in 8:21 Rhodes has a chip on his shoulder, having been kept out of the 2011 Royal Rumble and he shows it, beating on Masters, but Masters fights back. Masters is a contender for either the United States or even the WWE Championship on any given night and he is just getting better every week. Cross Rhodes is blocked and powerslam sets up the Masterlock for the submission. (B-)

Chris Masters celebrates his win as Rhodes favors his shoulder.

WWE Smackdown 2/4/11

We are out with Christian, who talks about how last Sunday, he had his hands on Cena, all he needed was one Killswitch and Cena knew that as well, so he got himself disqualified. Christian vows to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and win the World Heavyweight Title on that night. Christian switches gears to Paul London, his opponent tonight. Christian talks about how London apparently is going to disrespect the legacy of the Royal Rumble and throw away his Wrestlemania title shot, to please CM Punk. Out comes Paul London to talk about how he is sick and tired of people thinking that Punk's word is law. He's the ECW Champion, he beat 29 other men, and he talks about how that's more then Christian accomplished, because he failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship last Sunday. London talks about how tonight, he's going to beat Christian and then on RAW, everyone will know where Paul London's Wrestlemania destiny lies. London refuses to elaborate any more.

Undisputed Women's Champion Katie Lea defeated Alexandra Madison with a brain buster in 5:52 A return match from the Rumble, with Alexandra Madison getting one more title shot against Katie Lea. Katie Lea uses a lot of impressive moves but Madison gets a nearfall with a modified swinging DDT but Katie Lea hits a kick to the head and then hits a brain buster. (C-)

Evan Bourne pinned the Miz after countering a corner power bomb with a rana roll up in 8:57 The fans are going absolutely insane for this match, as a few weeks ago, the Miz beat Evan Bourne by countout and now Bourne is trying to get some revenge on the Miz. Miz worked over the injured ribs of Bourne, but Bourne counters a corner power bomb into a rana roll up, shades of his good friend Rey Mysterio for the pin. (C+)

Ted DiBiase cuts a promo, dismissing the events of last Sunday as a trick by either Kane or Mike Knox. He says that the Undertaker is gone and calls the fans gullible for thinking that last week the Undertaker would show up. DiBiase states his intentions in regaining the World Heavyweight Title in the Elimination Chamber and then whomever the number one contender is, he'll beat that at Wrestlemania 27 and his Wrestlemania winning streak will be 2-0 after that, with DiBiase bragging that he's never been defeated at Wrestlemania.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Alberto Banderas defeated Finlay and Chris Jericho when Banderas pinned Finlay after both Jericho and Finlay wiped out each other in 10:41 The recent issues between Chris Jericho and Finlay, with both men battling tonight tonight with the added third man, Alberto Banderas, with the WWE Intercontinental Title on the line. Both Finlay and Jericho clonked heads in an attack and Banderas dove on top, to score the pin, taking advantage of the situation to score the pin. (B-)

Kane is out, talking about how he will get his hands on Ted DiBiase but he switches his attention to Batista. Tonight, he has a huge match with Batista and the road to the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena is through Batista. Kane says his face may be burned but his mind is still calculating and only one day to hold a major championship was not enough, he will become World Heavyweight Champion and he will take out DiBiase, Batista, Cena, and anyone else who steps in his path.

Batsta pinned Kane in 12:41 after Ted DiBiase nailed Kane from behind and Batista hit a spear The destructive and dangerous Kane took on the demented Batista and both of these large superstars traded heavy blows but Batista seemed to be a few steps ahead. That was until Kane hung him up on the top rope and then went for the comeback, but Ted DiBiase is out, nailing Kane from behind with an international object, allowing Batista to pick up the win with a spear. (B)

In swarm the Fortunate Sons, along with the Miz, Chris Jericho, and the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena but Christian follows into the ring, followed by Finlay, Mike Knox, and Evan Bourne and it is an insane brawl right on Smackdown. The sides are a bit lop sided in the favor of the Fortunate Sons and Cena's crew.

“DONG!”

The arena goes pitch black and suddenly, a loud thud is heard in the darkness. When the lights come back on, Brett DiBiase is laid out on the floor, completely unconscious, as if he had just sustained a Tombstone Piledriver. The brawl is shifted to the side, but Smackdown General Manager Bret Hart leads security out to break things away.

Paul London pinned Christian with a backslide after Christian had his foot pulled from John Cena at ringside in 16:11 A back and forth match with London and Christian. With no other members of the Illuminati in the building, the ECW Champion proved to be just as able to go toe to toe with Captain Charisma. 450 Splash missed and Christian fired up an impressive comeback, setting up for the Killswitch, but Cena grabs his foot as he stands on the outside. Christian attacks Cena and London backslides him for the pin. (B+)

Immediately, Cena rushes into the ring and attacks Christian, taking his knee out with a chop block. He's going to injure Christian, just like he did Rey Mysterio but London low blows Cena and begins beating on him! The fans are giving a mixed reaction. London goes for the rolling elbow but Miz, Jericho, and Batista enter the ring. London backs off. The 2011 Royal Rumble winner has left, but out comes Finlay and Evan Bourne from the back, followed by Kane, with the brawl from earlier being picked back up. Paul London stands on the aisle, as the announcers talk about the possibility of London perhaps challenging for the World Heavyweight Title. We'll find out what will happen with the Rumble title shot on Monday. We fade out on the chaos.

WWE Monday Night RAW 2/7/11

Bryan Danielson battled Randy Orton to a no contest when Paul London interfered and attacked both men in 10:44 This was the first of six Elimination Chamber qualifiers and already there was some controversy. Two men who had suspect eliminations from the Royal Rumble, Bryan Danielson and Randy Orton attempted to advance into the Chamber. In the end, London rushed out and nailed the referee with the title belt and then knocked both men out with the belt. (B)

We see the Illuminati backstage as CM Punk applauds Paul London on eliminating two potential threats in one fell swoop but the papers are on their way and Punk hopes that London will do the right thing, and sign over the Royal Rumble title shot to Punk, so Punk can unify the titles. In comes an angry Randy Orton, who goes right for London. The entire Illuminati are quickly on Orton, like a gang of angry pitbulls and we see Punk walk over and beat on Orton some more, before London grabs a pipe and viciously slams it into the ribs of Orton. Punk knees Orton right in the head and London gives Orton a rolling elbow smash knocking him out, before putting a cinderblock on his ribs and London double stomps it right off of a scaffold set up! No one even lifted a finger to assist Randy Orton, because he spent the better part of the past five years on RAW making enemies of the entire locker room.

Kofi Kingston pinned Paul Burchill with the Trouble in Paradise to qualify for the Elimination Chamber in 7:33 Burchill and Kingston have bad blood from a heated feud in 2010 and it does not appear to have simmered down, as both men do battle, for a spot at the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber. In the end, Burchill goes for an elevated neckbreaker but Kofi flips out and hits the TIP for the pin and has a chance to become WWE Champion come February 20th. (B-)

We see backstage, with Edge standing by, talking about how he is going to enter the Chamber and also enter it as the defending WWE Champion when he beats Punk tonight. Hernandez suddenly jumps Edge from behind, ramming him into the wall and now Edge is beat, given a boot to the head and then a vicious running power bomb right on the concrete backstage. Hernandez walks off, the damage down. How can Edge compete against the WWE Champion tonight?

Sheamus pinned Mark Henry with a pump kick in 5:21 The Celtic Warrior battled the World's Strongest Man for another spot in the Chamber and this time it was Sheamus, who beat down Mark Henry. Henry fights back but his knee is taken out and Sheamus pump kicks him to score the pin. Sheamus joins Kofi Kingston in the Elimination Chamber. (C+)

Cody Rhodes cuts a promo, vowing to win the WWE Championship, because he is a great second generation superstar and he is going to take out the Big Show. Out comes the Big Show to rebut and we hae our Elimination Chamber qualifier.

The Big Show pinned Cody Rhodes with the Knockout Punch in 2:11 Rhodes ran from Show for most of this match and hit a couple of punches but Show kicked Rhodes right in the face and the knocked him out for the pin to join Kofi and Sheamus in the RAW Chamber. (C+)

Shawn Michaels pinned John Morrison in 15:31 in the Elimination Chamber Qualifier An impressive back and forth match. Both men attempted to get inside the Chamber, with Michaels based on the promise he made, to be WWE Champion come the end of Wrestlemania 27 or retire, his career is ticking down, the sands of time are winding down, and Morrison is not about to step back. Starship Pain is avoided, Morrison lands on his feet and Sweet Chin Music is avoided. Attempted springboard is countered with a second Sweet Chin Music and Michaels joins Sheamus, Kofi, Punk, and Show inside the Chamber and on this night, he could be WWE Champion once again. (B+)

CM Punk comes out, talking about how eight days ago he beat Edge at the Royal Rumble and tonight he's going to do it again. The fans are booing as Edge's music plays and no Edge. Punk informs the referee that he should count to ten. At the count of nine, Edge's music fires up and the Rated R Superstar staggers out, sliding into the ring, to begin the match.

WWE Champion CM Punk defeated Edge via pass out with the Anaconda Vice in 8:11 to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and retain his WWE Championship. Despite suffering a sick power bomb on the floor, Edge fought bravely, gaining numerous nearfalls on Punk but as the match went on, Punk's offense targetted the neck of Edge. A Spear connects but Edge got the worst of it and Punk slaps on the Anaconda Vice. Three arms dropped and Edge is out. (B)

We are back, at the Illuminati are out one by one, to celebrate with Punk. Out comes the ECW Champion Paul London last. Punk calls out the papers to be brought to the ring and says that London has two choices. Either he can give up his title shot for the good of the Illuminati or he can suffer the worst beating in the entire history of WWE. No papers are brought out so Punk calls from the back.

Diesel Power starts up and out comes the RAW General Manager Kevin Nash, holding an envelope with documents in his hand. Nash states that he manage to retrieve these and looked at them. They are pretty binding but Nash says he should hold onto them for a while. Punk is freaking out and yells for Nash to bring the papers to the ring so London could sign them but Nash says he has a better idea. Both Bryan Danielson and Randy Orton had points last week. London eliminated them both from the Rumble by suspect means. Therefore, while Nash can't strip London of the title shot, he can force him to put it on the line in a Triple Threat Match at Elimination Chamber against both Randy Orton and Bryan Danielson. Nash says that if London wants to sign the shot over to Punk after that night, the Nash will hand over the papers, but London has a match with two men who want revenge on him and the Wrestlemania title shot!

Suddenly, Randy Orton rushes out, ribs taped, with a crowbar and begins taking out the members of the Illuminati one by one, but London and Punk both manage to escape. Orton has lost his mind, but he has a chance to earn the Wrestlemania title shot. RKOs for all, as Orton yells that London's a dead man and then if Punk has the title, he's coming for Punk and Orton vows that he'll punt Punk so hard that he'll never wake up. Punk defends the belt against Sheamus, Kofi, Michaels, Show, and a fifth challenger to be named for the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber and Randy Orton, Bryan Danielson, and Paul London go at it, with a title shot at Wrestlemania hanging in the balance in thirteen days at WWE Elimination Chamber. The copyright notice is shown and we are out!

ECW On Sy FY 2/8/11

We see the Unified Tag Team, the Specialists, getting beaten by...OH MY GOD. THAT'S BUBBA RAY, THAT'S D-VON, THE DUDLEY BOYZ! The former eight time ECW Tag Team Champions are brawling with Davis and Courtier in the backstage area. Bubba is not too pleased and he is yelling that there is no team that has a greater legacy in ECW, firing back at some comments that the Specialists made over the past couple of weeks. But the Dudley Boyz don't work here, someone better get security, someone better get someone back there, our Unified Tag Team Champions are being destroyed. Out rush the Illuminati in the form of Swagger, Kaval, Kazarian, and the Hart Dynasty. Already, the credits haven't rolled and its bedlam on ECW, one week before February 15th and the most vital ECW on Sy Fy episode in history.

Tonight the World's Greatest Tag Team and Goldust take on Jack Swagger, Kaval, and Kazarian in six man tag team action.

Vladimir Koslov pinned Justin Gabriel with an elbow smash to the head in 7:14 The high flying of Gabriel matched up with the brutality of Koslov. Koslov knocked Gabriel around the ring for several minutes, with Gabriel trying to stage a comeback, but he gets powerslammed and then elbowed in the head for the pin. Afterwards, David Otunga came out but Koslov knocks him out. The Russian steps back, the job done. (C+)

Out fight the Dudley Boyz. Bubba Ray Dudley talks about how they made their name in ECW and left WWE six years ago, to prove that they can make it but they spent most of their time in a cesspool down in Orlando and now they are back home. Bubba talks about how the Dudley Boyz have had every single honor in tag team wrestling but one, and that's they've never been the Unified Tag Team Champions. Out come the Hart Dynasty, who say the Specialists have better things to do then to take on a multi time losers that aren't even under contract but Bubba states that the new ECW General Manager signed them and D-Von testifies. Smith states that they'll take out the Dudley Boyz and then they'll take out the new ECW General Manager when he shows his face next week.

The Dudley Boyz defeated the Hart Dynasty when Bubba pinned Tyson Kidd with the 3D in 8:55 The fans are going insane with cheers, as the Dudley Boyz have an intense match with the Hart Dynasty. D-Von is beaten down two on one but he makes a comeback, and tags in Bubba, leading to the Dudley Boyz finishing the Harts off with the 3D. (B-)

Afterwards, the Specialists jump into the ring and lay out the Dudley Boyz with the championship belts. Lawrence Davis gets on the microphone, talking about tag team wrestling has been revolutionized in WWE and how two marginal competitors like the Dudley Boyz are not going to hack in in their tag team division. They've defeated teams of main event superstars in the past and if the Dudley Boyz want a title shot, they will get it, February 20th at Elimination Chamber for the Unified Tag Team Titles.

An announcement of the huge ECW next week, featuring the brand new ECW General Manager, and three blockbuster matches. Shelton Benjamin, Goldust, Vladimir Koslov, and Frankie Kazarian do battle for the next number one contendership fto the ECW Championship. Also, Charlie Haas meets Jack Swagger in the Jack Swagger All American American challenge. Finally the big one, after two months on the shelf, Matt Hardy gets his return shot against Paul London for the ECW Championship. Also, an announcement that will rattle the entire ECW brand to its core.

Kaval, Frankie Kazarian, and Jack Swagger defeated the World's Greatest Tag Team and Goldust when Kazarian pinned Goldust with a leaping DDT off of the second rope. Paul London joined us on commentary, to rant about having to put his Wrestlemania title shot on the line against Randy Orton and Bryan Danielson at Elimination Chamber and also to talk about how he's going to beat Matt Hardy. The Illuminati will be banned from the building for this match but London states he can do this on his own. A preview of many of the huge matches next week ends with Kazarian striking with a huge DDT for the pin. We go off the air with the Illuminati celebrating but they have big battles next week and to come at Elimination Chamber. (B)
