Linsolv
OPINION TIEM! Deadliest Warrior is the dumbest show I've ever seen. Not because the premise is flawed, no sir, but because the people they bring on it seem to think that because they know about historical badasses, that makes them, by extention, a badass.

EDIT (8 hours later. YEAH BOYYYY.) - I now somewhat see what the idea is behind Zach Ryder is. I'm not sure how to feel about him any more, since the gimmick itself is inherently funny, but not in the way that involves a whole lot of me really loving it even as a joke. But that's a step up from me finding him confusing and dumb.

SaySo
He should have used the name Joe instead of Michael. Not a big fan myself of McGuillicuty. Hopefully a nickname like Mr Perfect would replace McGuillicuty.
Jaysin
From prowrestling.com - WWE claimed on TV that Joe Hennig is using the Michael McGillicutty name on NXT because the last name is his mother's maiden name and he wanted to honor the other side of his family. Actually, Hennig's mother was born Leonice Leonard, so it remains to be seen where the McGillicutty name came from. This could be related or not but McGillicutty was actually the maiden name of Lucy Ricardo on the hit 50's TV show "I Love Lucy."

I would go out on a limb, and say that he has one booking in each cause, well, they tend to only run one announced show at a time/per month. Also, he's worked for them, or the people who book them, for years. So, I imagine it would be a matter of 5 phone calls over a course of a day to get that rolling. I doubt that's really all that much of a stretch.
dvdWarrior
They may have borrowed the name from I Love Lucy. I could kinda see WWE working Ricky's song, "I'm In Love With The Dragon's Dinner" into a storyline. We'll know for sure if a superstar named Mertz pops up some time in the future. Magilacuddy & Mertz, back in bidness after all these years. Ya think?
