Guest KingOfKings
Go figure that a few months before TEW 10 comes out, I become completely obsessed with the C-Verse. I'd say about 3 months ago all I did was play real world mods. One day I decided it would be fun to try the C-verse out just for the fun of it and I haven't touched the real world since. Now the question I want to know is, how do you guys come up with storylines for your characters. I find it to be incredibly hard for some promotions like NOTBPW since there match to angle ratio is about 90%, which leaves for about one angle a show. Then there are promotions like SWF where it's all entertainment based, and since I don't know any of these guys, it becomes a task to decide on storylines. Iv'e read bios, iv'e read the C-Verse booklet but I still can't quite get the hang of it. Right now i'm playing a game as TCW and i'm really booking on the fly. I set up a bunch of unchained storylines such as RDJ, Tyson Baine, Rocky Golden and Edd Stone Vs. The Syndacite but I just put the pieces together as the come. I would really like to plan out my storylines much more but i'm having a bit of trouble putting things into place for the long term. How do you guys go about putting together your feuds and stories? Rayelek
What I did for TCW was divide the guys up into "clusters" and then each cluster was used to determine feuds for the next 4-6 months, then for each show, I use matches split between clusters (like guy from Cluster 1 vs guy from Cluster 2) so as to not have huge issues with repetitive booking. Another way is to read diaries. I think those really have given some workers specific personas in my mind which then lend to ideas for storylines. Sons of Kohral
When I first started, I mimicked other storylines I had seen. For instance, in USPW, I played the Sneer Corporation like a rated PG version of the nWo. I gave Rich Money in the SWF a JBL-type World Title reign, and I even had a "Right To Censor" type group in SWF once. That's the easiest way. After a while you start to really get a feel of the characters and hey take on a life of their own. I used to see Jack Bruce of SWF as Chris Jericho, but somehow he morphed into a "Rock God" with the IQ of 40 (Basically a glam rock version of Nathan Explosion from Metalocalypse) who sold the World Title for a guitar used by Motley Crue. Storylines are everywhere, I like combining movie and TV stories to suit my needs. I had a long running storyline (also in SWF) where Kurt Laramee saw something suspicious about Randy Bumfhole and after a few humorous angles involving Kurt trying to tempt Randy with rice and beans and Elvis Crespo CD's, it turned out that Randy was actually Cuban! Tag him with Kurt, they win the titles and Zimmy does a blood test. He's Cuban too. Next thing you know, you have a three man, fun loving version of LAX. I could go on and on, but that's the gist.
