Playing with MW5, I booked Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida as the main even of Fight Night. The whole night had already been great so far, with 2 Fantastic matches (even tho one was prelim) and 3 Great ratings. The main even starts, and Guida shoots in for a takedown. . . he gets it, but Ken Flo has a guillotine locked in when they hit the ground. Fight over in 37 seconds. Great rating. Sullivan who had split his last four matches 2-2 never seemed capable of beating the top level fighters and this was my thinking behind putting this fight together. Valentino had recently suffered back to back defeats at the hands of Ziskie and Li-Kong Ho. To get him back to winning ways i put him up against a guy who I believed he would beat but would be accepted as a competitive fight by the fans instead of just feeding him a can. I just established my third weight division and decide to have Akihiro Gono as the only established star in the new and lightest division. He loses in the finals of the tournament to crown the first champion against Pat Miletich via decision. Gono then wins the title from Miletich three months later. He makes on successful defense and then I match him up against Hayato Sakurai in Sakurai's third fight. Sakurai knocks Gono out in 29 seconds to win the title. Previously, Gono was never knocked out in 17 fights. On the bright side, I now have an undefeated champion and three championship contenders in that division.
