wareagle
I do not want to be to premature, but this is one of the most solid demos I have ever played. I had no intention of downloading and staying up until the wee hours this morning, but I could not pull myself away. The thing I am most impressed with is the actual in-game playcalling and playout of the game. Very nice. Also I think the depth chart area is pretty good. Nice how you progress week to week with a checklist of items. While I have noticed a couple of bugs (I am going to begin logging what I see), all in all it seems pretty solid thus far. A couple of minor details that it seems I thought I might be able to do that I can't (like editing player names, etc...) If the game holds up to its current status I can live with this. Step aside TCY, Bowl Bound is coming through!
Tim Plum
you can edit player names etc. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7989 Also on the bugs please peruse the forums, specifically tech support and see if your bugs match anyone else. Glad you like the game!

Mad Cow
The football game I have always wanted. Will never need to by EA's NCAA franchise again for a long time. :) This game creams TCY, IMHO.

Glad you like the game!
Tim, thanks for the reply. I am not having any success editing player names and the link above only shows how to edit team names, team info, etc. I have tried to edit a few team names in the Access DB for PlayerStats[Team Id] within the stats.dat file, but my changes never show up. Of course I am using the FirstName and LastName DBs defined. After I make a change and close the DB and re-open it, my numerical changes exist in the DB. But when I boot up the game for that particular team, the name is not changed. Example: Texas A&M : team_id 39 First_name: 1176 (Reggie) - I think that is the number I'm at work now) Last_name : 2374 (McNeal) Position : 1 All changes are saved, but I cant see them when running the game. Also, can player attributes be changed? If so, where? I cannot find anything close. Thanks!!
Arlie Rahn
Yeah, that DB is not "read from", it's just there for reporting. The final game will have an in-game editor for players.
