Tyler Gadzinski
I'll second the Malware Bytes.. it's a very good program.. I also use one called Ccleaner works really good and really fast.
James Casey
I always recommend avast, as it seems to work well to me.
jhd1
Malwarebytes is definitely a great piece of software but be careful not to delete anything it quarantines until you are absolutely sure it is safe to do so. I may be wrong, but I'm fairly sure it can remove files that you shouldn't normally be allowed to get rid of which can lead to even more problems! If you know what you are doing go for Malwarebytes, I was recommended it by the Bullguard Support Team when Bullguard itself couldn't remove the virus. tjb000
I personally like Avira AntiVir Personal. It scans more quickly (than AVG), and it definitely detects more unwanted files and programs than AVG Free did for me. Another good one is Avast Home Edition. My Security set up is Avira AntiVir Personal (anti-virus), COMODO Firewall (firewall), Ad-Aware (anti-spyware and adware), and also Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I know that you are not suppose to have more than one anti-virus program, but Avira is the main anti-virus program for me. All of them work perfectly fine together on my computer.
