Roster for UFC: Undisputed 2010

Coutesy of 5 oz. Of Pain

Interesting notes:

Couture is listed.

Dan Henderson and Wilson Gouveia are in despite recently leaving the UFC. I can understand keeping Gouveia in if they've already rendered him...but it seems strange that they would give Hendo the free advertising if he is going to be one of Strikeforce's 'game-changers'. Maybe they have to use his likeness for fear of weakening their legal position were Hendo to take them to court over it.

Winners of TUF 11 will likely be included as bonus DLC at launch. Wouldn't be surpised to see Gomi offered as DLC if he makes an impact.

Well, its awesome that Stefan "Mantis Boy" Struve made it in... but no Tim Sylvia, no thanks...

Maybe I'm just tired but I can't tell if you're joking or not :-p Apparently they wanted to but him in but his character created some serious bugs.

Any attempt to fight him with in a main event resulted in a boring five round decision. However if you create a 48 year old CAF with all stats except hand speed/power on zero, he loses in 9 seconds.

Sounds to me like they recreated reality perfectly!

Maybe I'll reconsider my decision not to purchase this... The thought of throwing pillow punches from the third floor with Struve is just too delicious....

Tell me about it. It's not 100% final untill it's released by THQ, so there's still a sliver of hope.

I'll be wishing on a shooting star they include Lawlor, and they introduce fighter entrances to the game. LAWLORMANIA IS RUNNIN WILD BROTHER! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, youtube it.)

i know they did, but according to these rosters, they dont. :p i was saying it was disappointing they arent in this one as well

I got this from 5 oz, the roster wont be final until THQ release it. If I remember rightly, the guy who could switch divisions in 2009 were only confirmed when THQ released a final roster.

I cant see why they'd remove a popular feature (and they already said they're going to include weight changes in career mode) so I reckon you'll be in for a treat come May :)

Kimbo Slice

91 Overall

91 Punching Offense (knocked out noted MMA competitor James Thompson)

78 Punching Defense (despite losing to Petrulezzi's jab he successfully stopped top level striker Houston Alexander from throwing too many strikes)

55 Kicking Offense (you never know right)

95 Kicking Defense (survived feared kickboxer Houston Alexander's leg kicks)

90 Takedown Offense (devastating slam of Greco Roman ace Houston Alexander)

89 Takedown Defense (has only been taken down by much renown wrestler James Thompson)

87 Offensive Grappling (had heralded grappling expert Houston Alexander's back)

90 Defensive Grappling (has yet to have his guard passed)

95 Offensive Submissions (nearly submitted devastating jiu jitsu specialist Houston Alexander with a one handed RNC)

92 Defensive Submissions (has yet to be submitted)

How much you wanna bet his stats actually are like this :(

New info from THQ

Enhanced combat will offer players a new Sway System with full upper body and head movement that allows for the dodging of attacks. On the ground, a new Posture System will enable players to deliver stronger, fight-ending strikes from every position. In addition, players will manage Octagon control with new strikes, submissions, transitions and cage positions, as well as experience added realism with the introduction of Southpaw stance. Players will also enjoy customizable freedom with created fighters by combining moves from numerous MMA disciplines, including new moves taken from Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling, to become true mixed martial artists.

UFC Undisputed 2010 will encourage online camaraderie like never before, as players will have the ability to form fight camps and leagues, train like real-life UFC fighters and go online to compete against other camps in the virtual UFC world. Career Mode will also return, including a new “Game Is Watching You” system that will track every action and use this information to dictate in-game commentary, opponent intelligence and overall career progression. In addition, players will enhance their Career Mode experience through online co-op sparring sessions with their respective fight camps and form unique personalities for created fighters to increase their cred, popularity and sponsorships based on interactions during weigh-ins and interviews.

UFC Undisputed 2010 will also introduce players to three new gameplay modes. Title Mode will enable players to fight through one of UFC’s five official weight classes to earn and defend a championship belt. In Title Defense Mode, players will see a fighter’s condition remain persistent but offer milestone challenges built in along the way. In addition, the game’s Tournament Mode will allow players to explore up to 16-player individual and team tournaments within one system. The mode will be compatible with both UFC and created fighters, as well as deliver two unique gameplay styles. Arcade-style play will offer the ability to repeat a fighter’s appearance, while simulation play will limit fighter representation to one appearance.

Glad they are releasing stuff now and I smell a GDS camp I was behind Undisputed over the new EA game before and these all sound like good new additions that will make it even better.

I'll end up getting both anyway (this fool and his money are easily parted when it comes to MMA - although I'll be doing my best to pull it off as a business expense ;) ) but I'm waiting untill they come out before making a judgement.

THQ did better than anyone expected and blew previous UFC games out of the water with Undisputed last year, so I'm expecting big things. EA's game is a brand new build - it could fall flat or be the best MMA sim to date. Who knows until it's in your disk tray?
