Taking the Hardcore out of Hardcore Feds...

Recommended Posts

So, playing first as PSW and then as WEXXV, I'm noticing a good majority of the rosters seem to reject the "big" hardcore matches (deathmatches, barbwire ropes etc.).

I understand that you shouldn't be able to abuse it like you did in older versions, and that some wrestlers would object to it, but you think those kinds of wrestlers wouldn't work for a place like WEXXV...

So, thoughts and opinions? Are workers in hardcore feds being too strict about what they will and won't do?

Found one. Dead Bolt is considered "extremely liberal" but he still refuses to enter into a deathmatch due to the "morale content."

Has anyone had anyone agree to an "extremely high" risk match?

No, I haven't gotten anyone to agree to either a high risk or high content match. I think it's something that was overlooked with the way morality works. I'm sure Adam will change it for the final version of the game.

I hope so. I've also had an issue where several BSC wrestlers won't do sex appeal angles, which seems to defeat the point.
I'm testing BSC matches right now: currently, only Lindsay Sugar appears willing to compete in a 1 vs. 1 Sin City Super Soaker match. Everyone else has moral objections.

grrrr.... ran a PSW show. Nearly every match was dinged for not being "risky" enough (even though they were all hardcore matches or better).

It'd be nice if the workers would actually do the work they're supposed to. Hard to run a hardcore, high risk fed when nobody is willing to shed a drop of blood....

I tried running a show with DIW...

Had Mayhem Mulhony (or whatever), who is suppossed to be a pure freakin' lunatic...

Object to a barbed wire match, on account of morale objections.

If you're a psychopath, you should be more than happy to work hardcore matches of any kind.

I've opened it up in the tech support as a bug. There is no way this is performing as planned as this makes "high risk" based feds (DIW, BSC, PSW, and WEXXV) severely hampered when their own starting roster refuses to put on the shows that the promotion is built around as well as getting penalized for the promotion's "bread and butter" matches.

I had a penalty for matches not being risky enough on a hardcore and texas death match.

I have to agree. I could not book WEXXV properly because of this. I think outside of Ryu Kahajira (or whatever, I don't speak Japanese) everyone else refused to be in deathmatches, barbed wire matches or any other extreme match. Hell, my idea of blowing off Team WEXXV vs The S.O.B. in a Cage Wars went down the toilet because they would not even do that!

Downloaded latest patch. Very liberal workers still won't compete in very high danger or very high risk content matches. What sort of personality does it take?

Check that you have the patch installed properly, I've just run several deathmatches and barbed wire matches with the WEXXV crew.

I find that they do and the patch has indeed fixed the issue :o Playing WEXXV right now, most of the veteran workers refure due to risk of getting injured and not due to moral issues, now I only see moral issues with concervatives like it should be.

EDIT: Damn it Adam, this is the third or fourth time when I try to reply to a question but you're always faster.

Cool. Who is a worker in WEXXV that will do a match so I can look at their personality? :)

Hmmm... it seems like male workers will more readily do high risk matches than females. Haven't found anyone on BSC that will do a very high risk match, but I've found several males who will in other promotions.

Must be a personality thing beyond liberal/conservative.

I suggest checking that you are trying to book a high CONTENT risk and not simply a highly dangerous match, as only the former is based on their personality alone, the latter takes into account their physical skills too.

So is it possible to do a match that has very high content risk? with low injury risk? I haven't managed it yet. :o
