I've always thought he was one of the top men you would not want to meet in a street fight as he is one of those action speaks louder than words guys. A lot of people forget about him being an elite unit officer back in Croatia

Still think its crazy how he cant fight in a cage as he has said its the idea of fighting in a cage that has messed with his mind but I guess when you're so used to a ring and he's not a wrestler which cages benefit

Pro soccer player in Croatia and a member of Parliment at one point as well, the man has certainly done alot.

I think he hit a wall in MMA after the Fedor fight, the same wall he hit with Hoost in K-1.

I used to think it was that point, too. But when you watch him in the 2006 Pride Openweight Grand Prix, he looks good. Very good. Focused and determined. So I do think he "recovered" from whatever emotional damage the Fedor loss caused. Something happened after that Grand Prix.

Against Minowa, a 185lb journeyman? Yoshida, who could barely move going into the fight? 205lb Silva? Or Barnett, who he'd beaten before and who tapped out to an eye injury?

For me it all started with the Randleman KO, he seemed alot more hesitant after that. Then after Fedor completely shut him out, he realised that he'd never have the belt he'd spent years obsessing over. Same with K-1, he knew that he'd never beat Hoost.

He couldn't finnish a massivly out of shape Barnett and lost to Mark Hunt, a guy you really shouldn't be losing to if you're an 'elite' heavyweight. His GP run was one of the weakest in Pride's history, only surpassed by Coleman's gift in the 2000 OWGP. It was no secret that Pride wanted to do Fedor/Cro Cop 2; when Fedor decided not to enter the 2006 OWGP, it was announced that he'd fight the winner...thats why Mirko didn't have to go through the Hunts or Nogueira's in the early rounds. It's easy to look good when you're matched up in winnable fights to get you into the finals.
