Sorin
Has anybody managed to get the game to work on a Mac using CrossOver or CrossOver games? And if so, how? Thanks so much in advance!
Derek B
Has anybody managed to get the game to work on a Mac using CrossOver or CrossOver games? And if so, how? Thanks so much in advance! The TEW08 Technical Support forum has guides for how to get Adam's various games to work on things other than Windows, I reckon you should be able to find something to help you out there. Sorin
Thanks for the heads up Derek! I read through the instructions on that forum and it seems pretty complicated stuff. The only reason I asked if anyone had used CrossOver Games to run TEW is because of how easy CrossOver is to use. If no-one has figured out how to do it, then I guess I'll try the more complicated version!
Tom Bombadil
I bought windows 7 primarily to play this game. >_> There may or may not be less draconian measures available. <_<
Lucied
I don't recall having any luck getting TEW to run under Crossover. But you can try. I'd suggest using regular Crossover, not the Games release. Create a new bottle and install IE6. Then you have to find the Visual Basic 6 runtime (the latest Service Pack) and the Jet 4.0 installer on the Microsoft website. It's up to you to know which files to use. Then you can install TEW (I'd suggest the demo first). Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. I had no luck with a Crossover solution, but I'm using Linux.
