I've only ever noticed it once you get into the top divisions, for work permit reasons. I'd say in England you may get a Scottish feeder from the third division. I remember on 09 if you were at a club long enough the board would let you have a say in what type of feeder/parent club that they get.

even for your second or third team?

If you mean a feeder club rather than a parent club, then it's even less likely. CCL2 clubs are seen as small as it is, let alone making international connections. You might get an English Isthmian level club, which isn't far off sunday league.

why would you need an affiliate from a different nation in League 2?

you should only need a work permit club in say Belgium, if your top flight.. you shouldnt really be looking at non-EU players that far down the pyramid..

it should be pretty damn hard.. as honestly.. you dont need one..

No, sorry if I didn't make it clear, but I meant a Parent Club International affiliate for "budget" reasons.

A Japanese/Chinese or US team to make money from? I don't think you have a chance until your in the EPL, if you need money you might be able to run some mid week friendlies with your U19's/Reserves and First team.

I thought all Youth/Reserve team matches were "closed door"

Not against other teams, I should have made myself clearer. Just make sure you don't make friendlies that won't make money eg: If your paying a team to play you $1K and the gate takings are only estimated to be $700 it's best to look at another team.

Will any friendly make me some money from the gate?

even if it doesnt say "The board expects X money from the gate"?

yes as long as your playing at home and people are coming to see the game you will still get cash from the gate

Try to face bigger teams you make more money and more people will come to the game

I wish that was easier done than said, not alot of people want to play my reserves and U18 team. are their any teams that will, no matter what, accept a friendly?

will he arrange friendlies in season? and with all three teams?

If you play friendlies with your first team mid-season it'll knacker them, so no he won't. The money you'll make from them is pittance really anyway, why are you so desperate to? You're Dagenham and Redbridge, you'll only earn real wonga by getting up the divisions!

Most likey not. You shouldnt really need to arrange friendly during the season most teams wont play friendlys during the season anyways unless there is an extended break between games.

If you struggling for cash maybe you should look to cut-costs. keep staff to a minimum and you really only need 2 players for each spot (try to find players who can play multi postions) and max out on loaning players from high teams and go young 17-18-19-20 year olds are alot cheaper lol

and Oh dont field a reserve side. why waste the money on fielding the side

yeah.. stop playing friendlies mid-season.. itll knacker your players and youll get nothing in the way of decent money..

try and sell any dead weight in the January window.. and pick up as many good players as you can over the summer on Bosman's...

at League 2 level theres only two ways to make money.. you either 1) play out of your means, and go for the best players for the least money and try and get promotion after promotion until you can start making money in the Premiership... or 2) sell sell sell.. bleed the youth players into your side and sell anyone who gets sniffed at.. youll stay in League 2 and not get anywhere near promotion, but if your lucky and get decent cash for players youll start making funds..

honestly you could play a few seasons in the red and not have any real problems.. as long as on the field you can do reasonably well, you shouldnt get sacked for being absolute carp with the finances..

it all really depends on what you want to achieve both short and long term..
