mikemelling
Hey guys, the name's Mike. I've started a couple of diaries that started well and waivered. Reason? I didn't know the game as well as I should have. So, I've spent the last few months playing it over and over and now? Now I want to give this a shot. I know TCW isn't the biggest challange in the game, but still, I feel there's room for scope with the distance between 1 and 2 and the emergence of USPW. I hope you enjoy my ideas for the promotion as much as I did thinking them up. _______________________________________________________________ As I sat across Tommy Cornell’s desk, my eyes fixed on his, I had a feeling that this was going to be a boom or bust situation. He hadn’t spoken for about 30 seconds, just moments after he’d asked me just how I was planning on recapturing the attention of those fans who had moved back to SWF last year. If I was honest, I hadn’t really understood the question. Was he looking for a generic answer or specifics? I’d noted a few storyline ideas, my main one had focused on hiring someone. This, I had realised, is where my plan could well have failed. Who was to say he would even be interested in... Well... You’ll see. TC: This is a bold suggestion Mr. Avatar. JA: That’s what we need, sir. Something bold, something that people will want to see. TC: You realise we don’t own... JA: I do, and I know that money is tight but the intrigue we would build with this story could make up what we pay in weeks. His hand slowly groped his chin, his eyes still locked upon me. At least he hadn’t cussed me out, and he seemed to be interested in my idea. While I wait for his answer, I guess I should take you back to how I got here. 1 week earlier. Standing in my lounge looking up into my mirror I had come to the realisation that I would never be wrestling on the World Stage. I’d come to realise that perhaps I would need to get a new vocation. Wrestling was in my blood but I couldn’t help but think I should have a back-up plan. In the big leagues, when you get hurt you have insurance, you have a fall back. When you’re fighting in a different company every week, well; let’s just say your heart is in your mouth every time you jump from the top rope. I pull my phone from my pocket and see the name on the display, a guy I’d wrestled in England a month back, Edward Cornell. JA: Hi Edward, how’re you doing? EC: Not bad pal, not bad. Are you busy? JA: No, no. I’m not booked this weekend so I get some time off. EC: Really? That’s unfortunate, had I known that I’d have tried to get you booked over here. We had some good chemistry. I grin, momentarily realising that this wasn’t a reaction that can be read on a phone. JA: It was fun, Eddie. So, what can I do for you? EC: Oh right, yeah of course! So, I was just on the phone to Tommy and he was telling me that he’s making some financial cuts. JA: Tommy? EC: Yeah, my cousin... Tommy Cornell? I feel my face flush; what a mistake to make. JA: Yeah, sorry, been really tired lately. EC: Yeah, sure. So, anyway, they’ve been dropping numbers on their roster due to financial cuts. I told him how much 21st Century got away with paying a talented guy like you and he liked the idea. He’s planning on calling you tomorrow. JA: A... Are you serious? EC: I wouldn’t joke about something like that Jack. Don’t forget, it’s not who you know, it’s what you know. The rest of the conversation was a blur, and yes, Tommy did call me the next day. It was during this call that my journey in TCW was going to change forever. TC: I’m sorry Jack, can you hold a moment? JA: Sure. Now, I’m not sure if he was planning on actually hitting the hold button or not but the fact is, I heard more than I was supposed to. TC: Joel, good to see you, what can I do for you? JB: Tommy, it’s about this contract, I’ve just read the terms and it appears your dropping the payments you make for me booking your shoes? TC: That’s right. JB: Can I ask why? TC: Joel, your last contract had you being paid as a performer, a booker and a trainer in the dojo. Do you seriously think we can afford to pay you for 3 jobs? I’m happy to pay you as a performer and a trainer, but the booking duties will not be getting you extra pay. JB: Then, I won’t be booking your shows. TC: Joel... JB: I’m sorry, Tommy. I booked your shows because it was my job, now my job is to train and wrestle so that’s what I’m going to do. Book your own show, hire someone else, I don’t care. Just let me do what you pay me for. For a moment, neither man spoke, I assumed that maybe Bryant had walked out but I hadn’t seen the door. TC: I understand Joel, don’t worry I’ll handle it. The door closed and I heard the sound of the phone picking up. Cornell clicked a button and I suddenly heard nothing. 10 seconds passed before another click. TC: Hello? JA: Mr. Cornell, hi. TC: Did you just hear the conversation I was having. JA: I’m... I’m sorry, sir. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. He didn’t speak for a moment before bursting into laughter. TC: It’s not your fault Jack, it’s mine. I’ve never gotten used to pressing the hold button correctly, I accidentally told Jennifer what I was buying her for Christmas this year. Don’t worry about a thing son, I’ll find someone to book our shows. For a brief moment, I thought that someone else had joined us in the conversation. For a brief moment I thought someone else had said the words. That moment passed, and I realised it was me. JA: I’ll do it Mr. Cornell, at no additional cost. I couldn’t believe I had just said it. The words had no further passed my lips and I was apologising. JA: I’m sorry, it’s not my place to... TC: Shut up kid... I’d ruined my only chance. TC: You’ve got spunk... But what makes you think you could book MY promotion? JA: Well... I, I don’t know if Edward filled you in but I helped out the booking of 21st Century while I was there, I booked my whole program with him. I’ve also got wrestling in my blood, I mean my family have been in this business for years and... TC: You know what son, some people thought I was crazy when I put Bryant in charge. Some people thought I was crazy when I bought TCW in the first place. It may seem crazy but I think I’m going to give you a chance to convince me in person. My office, Monday morning. Today TC: Alright, if you can make the signing you need, we’ll make it happen. JA: You mean... TC: You have the job. You had it when you asked me on the phone, something in your voice told me you could do it. He throws a file across the desk that slides off and lands on my knee. TC: This will be your bible for the show tomorrow night, stick to it, I don’t want you taking any risks before we see how you write our current storylines. If I’m happy with what I see, then we’ll approach who you want to approach. Get back to me with any other ideas you have later on, we’re on a flight to New York this evening. It’s a redeye, which you’d better get used to. Good luck... I climbed to my feet as we shook hands, my eyes still fixed on his. Turning away from him, I lift the book and head towards the door, knowing that I would have to do some good convincing to get everyone else onside. We have 1 more face or heel depending on how things go over the next few months. Upper Midcard Genghis Rahn Eddie Peak Rick Law Danny Fonzarelli Koshiro Ino Sam Keith Benny Benson Notes: Heel heavy in the Upper Midcard. Still, we can always change that up if we need to. Midcard Scout Guide American Buffalo John Anderson Brent Hill Aaron Andrews Sammy Bach Joshua Taylor Joel Bryant Texas Pete Notes: Again, heel heavy. I think this needs to be addressed over the next few months. Lower Midcard Charlie Thatcher Robert Oxford Freddy Huggins Giant Tana Jack Avatar Chance Fortune Notes: Finally, the faces! Some good talent here, myself not withstanding. Opener Clark Alexander Edd Stone Harry Allen Notes: Stone is the diamond in the rough here. Enhancement Flying Jimmy Foxx Notes: Need to keep my eye on JFJ in this division. Managers Karen Killer Floyd Goldworthy Laura Huggins Notes: Managers are always important, although they’re currently paired up I may need to make a few changes. Announcers Jason Azaria Shawn Doakes Colour Commentators Kyle Rhodes Jasmine Saunders Notes: I have options at the announce table, I like that. Referee Sam Sparrow Ray Johnson Notes: Need to assess the referee situation, a good referee can make a match. Road Agent Archie Judge Arnold Westberry Notes: Road Agents may need looking at, again we need to make sure our matches are put together correctly. Tag Teams The Freedom Fighters Texas Buffalo The Canadian Animals The L.A. Connection The Machines The New Wave The Syndicate The Tag Team Specialists Stables The Hellfire Club Notes: This stable is going to quietly disappear. Buffalo is in a tag team and the others, well, I have other plans for them. Storylines Rocky Golden Vs Sam Keith Rocky Golden reached the top of the TCW mountain when he defeated Tommy Cornell for the gold. Now he must face the first big test of his reign, facing the legendary Sam Keith. Can Golden prove that he is a true champion? Note: Alright, so this is our current title fued. I like it, I can go with it and I can see promise in it. Sam can quite easily make Rocky look like a legitimate champion. Peak Vs Vessey Bryan Vessey's TCW homecoming was ruined by an attack from a jealous Eddie Peak and has resulted in a violent war breaking out....will either man be the same when the smoke clears? Note: Vessey being back in TCW was huge. Eddie Peak’s involvement based on jealousy has the legs to lead to a good PPV match but long term? I have other plans for Vessey, he’s the people’s choice. Benson vs. Tornado Benny Benson made his TCW debut by answering an open challenge from Troy Tornado and scoring a mild upset, live on TV. A furious Tornado will not stop until he has gotten some payback on the ex-SWF wrestler. Notes: Interesting feud with the skills and the possibility of moving Benson into the Main Event frame which, with my current plans, could be very good indeed. Ino vs. Law When Rick Law turned heel to join The Syndicate, he did so by betraying Koshiro Ino during a tag team match. Ino has not forgotten, and is now looking for revenge on the corrupt cop by running him out of TCW. Notes: Ino and Law is the kind of upper midcard feud that helps build the matches that come after it. Plus, it helps elevate those within it. I’m interested to see just how both of these guys come out of the other side. Eradicating The Syndicate Ricky Dale Johnson and Joey Minnesota were the key figures in stopping The Syndicate's attempt to dominate TCW. Now they aim to finish the job by destroying the last remaining links to the old stable, the team of Tommy Cornell and Wolf Hawkins. Notes: More like the end of the feud rather than the middle. Still, I honestly don’t see this going on much longer. Wolf and Tommy are too strong to split, but I can see them looking after themselves as soon as this final feud is done with. Owner Goals Critical 1. TCW CANNOT fall into debt. This happens, you're fired. 2. TCW CANNOT fall below No. 2 in the World. You need to keep it up, or get it back up if it falls. Notes: Ok, so, this is understandable. We've got $1,000,000 in the bank. Let's hope PPV and Sponser Revenues can keep us in a sustainable position. High 1. Wolf Hawkins MUST be kept above C+ momentum. 2. No-one from a Cult Promotion or higher must be signed. Notes: Alright, keeping Tommy's friend with higher momentum isn't such a bad request. And no stealing workers from any other big promotions. We need to make our own stars, I can understand that. Average 1. You cannot hire or resign anyone who has a less than C- in safety in our report. Keeping our workers safe is a priority. 2. You cannot hire or resign anyone who has a less than C- in selling in our report. Our workers being safe is one thing, looking like they're not is another. Notes: Alright, I can see where he's going here. We need to keep everyone safe whilst looking like they're in more pain than anyone else in history. That has to be doable. mikemelling
TC: Alright, one of your ideas I get, the other not so much... Leaning back with my eyes closed and a bottle of water in my hand, I breathe deeply ready to justify my ideas. I lean forward in my seat, turning slightly towards Cornell. His eyes are filled with motivation, my plans for the Eradicating the Syndicate storyline had hit home, I’d used that moment to mention the 2 ideas that perhaps wouldn’t have gone down so well. JA: We need a development territory Tommy. I’m happy not to hire anyone who works for any of the other top 10 promotions but I need to know what I’m working with before I put them on TV. Dark matches are great but I only get a 20 minute window every week. If we approach MAW, we have a company that has been producing amazing talent for years. TC: Alright, keep going. JA: Rip Chord has been training superstars for years and making them better. Then he seems to ship them off to SWF, North of the Border, USPW... Now we have a chance to harness that talent and hand pick the best. It’s an opportunity we need to take. Cornell’s smile told me a had him on this point. It was the second he was unsure of. TC: But declaring war on USPW? I don’t understand... JA: USPW are the No. 3 company in the US and they decided to make a statement by declaring war with No. 1. Do you not see the disrespect? They want to surpass us and leave us for an afterthought. TC: Go on... JA: By declaring war, we’re making this a 3 way dance. If we’re all at war, we create more interest in the business. Eventually, we’ll be the company on top and USPW will be wishing they’d never over-looked us. Leaning back in his seat, Tommy lifts a glass of scotch to his lips, his eyes flickering for a moment. Finally, he breaks into a wide smile and turns his head to face me. TC: Alright, we’ll do this your way. Just remember, if this goes wrong it’s your ass. As if I could forget... mikemelling
TCW: The New Beginning... In a drastic turn of events following the start of the war between USPW and SWF, the third company involved in the main wrestling scene in North America has gotten involved. A statement has been released by TCW. "TCW, the current challanger to the crown of SWF as the biggest promotion, not only in North America but the World has officially declared open Warfare on USPW. Our reasons are simple, to create hype and competition between the top 3 brands in this business." http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Company/TCW_alt1.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Company/USPW.jpg Furthermore, TCW have also come to an agreement with Rip Chord's MAW to become a feeder federation. TCW will be able to hire workers and send them to Mid Atlantic Wrestling to train up before being called to the Main Roster. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Company/TCW_alt1.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Company/MAW.jpg ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Source: TotalExtremeWrestling.com

The current TCW All Action Champion, Edd Stone, will be watching whilst Aaron Andrews takes on his tag team partner Freddy Huggins for an opportunity at his Championship. As such, he’ll be at ringside to get a firsthand look at who could possibly be his next challenger. In a non-title match, Joshua Taylor takes on Sammy Bach. Sammy has held the All Action Championship in the past and would love the opportunity to get his hands on more gold. A win against the Champion will get him the opportunity he’s looking for. After seemingly being passed over for an opportunity at the Tag Team Championships, Pete and Buffalo are seemingly focusing on destroying just what competitors they have left. Fan favourite Danny Fonzarelli teams with Giant Tana in attempt to shut the mouths of the mouthy Texans. Setting his eyes on Troy Tornado has lead Benny Benson’s path to Rick Law, who has his own problems with Koshiro Ino. It has to be wondered whether or not Ino or Tornado will be at hand when their enemies do battle. The No. 1 contender to the TCW Championship Sam Keith, has the opportunity to cement his place and show why he is the one to take on Rocky Golden. Vessey has his own problems to face with Eddie Peak who, as of late, seemingly set his sights on the TCW’s returning son. In our Main Event, the Freedom Fighters look to prove that their vendetta against the Syndicate was not a one time deal. Tonight, they have a chance to prove just how good they are by taking on Eddie Peak and Genghis Rahn. Our main event is sure to make things interesting, especially considering the rumoured special referee and commentator. I’m Jason Azaria with my broadcast colleague Kyle Rhodes! KR: Thank’s Jason, tonight I just can’t wait to see how things progress between Sam Keith and Rocky Golden. JA: And how will the Syndicate react to their problems with the Freedom Fighters. Let’s head to the ring for our first contest. Regular Singles Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/AaronAndrews.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/FreddyHuggins.jpg Aaron Andrews Vs Freddy Huggins In a good opening contest to a good night, Aaron Andrews cemented his claim for a shot at Edd Stone’s All Action Championship with a hard fought victory over Stone’s tag team partner Freddy Huggins. Both men came out of the match looking good with Aaron Andrews getting the victory with a Standing Hot Shot. Rating – C- Post match, as Andrews climbs to his feet, Edd Stone slowly walks onto the rampway. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/EddStone_alt4.jpg Without word, he focus’ eyes on his soon-to-be opponent before clapping his hands sarcastically. Huggins climbs to his feet on the outside and slowly makes his way up the ramp towards his partner. Rating – D+ We head backstage to find Sam Keith pacing back and forth in front of the dressing room of his opponent for Malice in Wonderland, Rocky Golden. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/SamKeith_alt2.jpg SK: How can this be right? Some punk kid sitting in his own dressing room with the TCW Championship sat by his side. Does he not understand the names that have held that belt? Does he not know it’s history? Using it as some kind of weapon to bring down the Syndicate. Acting like it’s his birthright. Well he needs to be taught a lesson, a lesson in respect, a lesson in knowing what it’s like to be a real Champion. Keith reaches out his hand to push open the door but stops as if worried about something. SK: I’ll teach him his lesson on my terms, on my own time. Keith slowly starts to back away from the door, before turning tail and walking away as we head back to Azaria and Rhodes. Rating – B JA: Well. Ladies and gentlemen, Sam Keith did NOT look like he wanted any of Rocky Golden tonight. KR: Looks that way Jason, he’s got his sights set on Malice in Wonderland and his TCW World Heavyweight Championship match. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Titles/TCW_World.jpg http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/SamKeith_alt2.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/RockyGolden.jpg Sam Keith Vs Rocky Golden© Rating – B- Non-Title Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/SammyBach_alt1.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/JoshuaTaylor.jpg Sammy Bach Vs Josuha Taylor In a non-title match, Sammy Bach took on Joshua Taylor in a match that proved very popular with the fans. The TCW International Champion looked to have the match in full control up until a Sammy Bach low blow enabled him to get a roll up victory. Rating – C- As we return from commercial we head backstage to find Benny Benson standing with a mic in his hand. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/ElmoBenson_alt1.jpg BB: Tornado, I made my debut here in TCW a few weeks ago after 6 years of hell. And you know what I found? I found the same jealous, egotistical, attitude that I saw where I was before. Not from everybody, not from most people, but from you. I’m not here to tell you I’m going to end your career, I’m not here to tell you I’m going to put you out of this business, but I am going to make you pay for ruining the biggest moment of my career so far. I want to fight you at Malice In Wonderland. Rating – C+ JA: Looks like we have a challenge there Kyle! KR: And Troy is likely to be watching later on tonight when Benson takes on Rick Law. JA: But first, let’s head back to the ring. Tag Team Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/AmericanBuffalo.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/TexasPete.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/DannyFonzarelli.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/TanaTheMighty.jpg The Texas Buffalos Vs Danny Fonzarelli and Giant Tana After being ignored in their attempts to get a shot at the Tag Team Championships, Texas Buffalo have decided to take on some of the stars of singles wrestling this week when they fought Danny Fonzarelli and Giant Tana. The Fonz and Tana had control for most of the match up until a 4-way breakdown in the rules as all were in the ring. In a miscommunication, Giant Tana crushed Fonzarelli in the corner. Once on the outside, Fonzarelli was powerless to prevent The Lone Star Stampede taking Tana down to the mat for a Texas Buffalo Victory. Rating – D+ Post match, as Fonzarelli attempted to get to get back into the ring, Tana was taken down with another Lone Start Stampede. Whilst Tana lies motionless, Texas Pete pulls out a steel chain and wraps it around Tana’s throat. Stood either side, Buffalo and Pete place a foot each on Tana’s back and pull the chain up, choking the life out of Tana. They finally release as Danny Fonzarelli gets back into the ring. Rating – D+ We return from commercial and head back to Azaria and Rhodes at ringside. AR: After that attack this week, Texas Buffalo look like they could well be on their way to getting a Tag Title Shot sooner rather than later! KR: If they want to be back in the title hunt, they need to start taking on Tag Teams instead of singles! Singles Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/ElmoBenson_alt1.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/RickLaw.jpg Elmo Benson Vs Rick Law In a well fought match between 2 men embroiled in feuds elsewhere, Elmo Benson and Rick Law both looked to gain some momentum leading into potential battles with other opponents. A relatively equal match looked to turn into bedlam as Troy Tornado slowly wandered to ringside. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/TroyTornado.jpg With his attention taken, Benson dropped the ball in the match as Tornado jumped up onto the apron. As Benson walked face to face with his opponent, Tornado reared back with a right hand. Ducking the shot, Rick Law walked straight into it knocking him backwards. Benson responded with a swift kick to the jaw before hitting the Shockwave from the Future before getting the win! Rating – C+ Post match, the victorious Benson celebrates for a moment before Troy Tornado dived into the ring. Benson managed to defend himself for a few moments before the numbers caught up on him. Rick Law, burnt by the loss, joined in the attack on Benson. The crowd pops instantly as Koshiro Ino hits the ring with a steel chair in his hand. Tornado and Law leave the ring, their job done as Benson rolls on the ground in pain. Rating – C+ Returning from commercial we head straight to ringside for the next match. Reguler Singles Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/SamKeith_alt2.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/BryanVessey.jpg Sam Keith Vs Bryan Vessey A match between 2 TCW legends in Keith and Vessey had been set up to see who would really be the No. 1 contender for Rocky Golden’s Championship. The match was a very good, highly technical contest with Vessey controlling most of the contest. Towards the end of the match, Sam Keith looked to leave the ring to get some air. Following to the outside, Vessey begins to chase Keith who slides back into the ring and grabs the referee. As Vessey slides back into the ring, a hand grips his foot from the outside. The hand pulls Vessey out and pancakes him on the floor! http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/EddiePeak.jpg Eddie Peak stalks Vessey who climbs to his feet slowly, Peak hit’s the Peak of Perfection on the outside! Sliding back under the ring, Peak disappears. The referee counts hitting 7 before Vessey even stirs. Finally, at 9, he’s back on his feet and into the ring! Vessey gets to his feet slowly only to be hit with the Nuetron Plex for the 3! Rating – B JA: Peak just cost Vessey the match! KR: I don’t think Sam Keith cares, he’s on the rampage towards Malice in Wonderland. JA: I can’t believe Vessey got screwed like that! We head backstage where Shawn Doakes stands with Joel Bryant and Robert Oxford. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/ShawnDoakes.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/JoelBryant.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/RobertOxford.jpg SD: I’m standing backstage with The Tag Team Specialists, the No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championships. Guys, you’re best known as both being part of great tag teams over the years, can I ask... JB: No you can’t Doakes. You’re right about one thing, we have been part some of the greatest Tag Teams this company... Strike that, this business has ever seen. Yet it’s been 7 years, 7 years since we’ve been tag team champions here in TCW. That’s all about to change. Scout, Guide whatever the hell you want to call yourselves, I’m here to tell you that your days as champions are numbered. Slamming the mic into Shawn’s chest the 2 men walk away. JA: Looks like the Specialists have an agenda... As Azaria talks, he’s cut off by the music of The Syndicate. Tommy Cornell makes his way to the ring with Wolf Hawkins who is wearing a referee’s shirt. Cornell sits at the Announce desk with Azaria and Rhodes. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/TommyCornell_alt5.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/WolfHawkins_alt3.jpg KR: Mr. Cornell, good to have you here. JA: Good evening. TC: Gents, good to see you both. I’m just here to watch Wolf’s refereeing debut. Tag Team Match http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/GhenghisRahn.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/EddiePeak.jpg Vs http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/JoeyMinnesota.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Superstars/RickyDaleJohnson.jpg Ghengis Rahn and Eddie Peak Vs The Freedom Fighters In a match that saw the incredible Teamwork of the Freedom Fighters facing off against Eddie Peak and Genghis Rahn, Wolf Hawkins did his best to be the difference. The Fighters took control early on but a number of slow counts meant victory would evade them. On the other hand when Kahn and Peak had control he was quick to get to 2 before the Double F’s would kick out. It was, however, on one of these occasions that enough was found to be enough. Hawkins, in an attempt to provide the win for Kahn and Peak would accidentally drop Peak with a clothesline. Kahn, unhappy with this mistake, took Hawkins out with the Rahn To The Hills! The crowd pop as Rahn turns around to be hit with the Empire Spiral by Joey Minnesota! As another referee sprints to the ring... TC: NO! NO! NO! Cornell drops his headset to slowly as Minnesota gets the victory. He stands at ringside before pulling up the Hawkins back to his feet. Minnesota and RDJ celebrate the victory as Rahn and Peak reverse back up the rampway calling to them. As their attentions are taken, Cornell and Hawkins slide into the ring and attack. Within moments the Freedom Fighters are down and The Syndicate look to be in control. Moment by moment, the beating gets worse and worse when finally it’s ended with Cornell hitting the Guilt Trip on RDJ and Hawkins hitting the Full Moon Rising. JA: WHAT A DEVESTATING ATTACK BY THE SYNDICATE! KR: They’ve shown tonight that they are far from done and have no intentions of going anywhere. The show comes to a close with Cornell and Hawkins standing over their fallen opponents with their arms raised. Final Rating http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/Ratings/grade_cplus.jpg ___________________________________________________________________ A little disappointed with the results of the show to be honest, trying to keep some of the bigger meetings under wraps for a while except Keith Vs Vessey which I was hoping would be the ratings draw; it was. Unfortunately, it was let down by the Main Event. Trying to get the Freedom Fighters over may have done little more than hurt Rahn and Peak but hopefully the storyline between Peak and Vessey should bring that back up in the next couple of weeks. The next card will be up in 24 hours guys, any news will be posted before hand.
