Silhouettes of Wrestling

He couldn’t be further away from home. Closer to Indonesia than his native city of Melbourne, here he stood in Perth. The journey had been gruelling. However, as he saw the signpost that indicated his arrival he felt no sense of happiness. He wasn’t home sick; he hadn’t left anyone significant behind. He had nothing against Perth, which was now romantically drenched by the twilight ambience. He just hated his reason for being there.

The thirty-something had spent the last couple of years writing for Australian dramas, sit-coms and soap operas. The company who employed him supplied writers to shows which needed a constant supply of fresh ideas. He had experience working with actors of captivating screen presence. Actresses who had bedazzled his imagination with their beauty were still fresh in his mind. Unknown to him, his originality was precisely the reason he stood here today.

A conversation between Tristram Day and the Australian Freelance Writing Committee resulted in Clark Daniels becoming chief writer of Revolution Australian Wrestling. The ideas were drying up and Tristram Day was becoming increasingly paranoid that his vision would come crumbling down to the farce that it was being heralded as.

Clark stood staring at the RAW headquarters with what could only be described as indifference.
