Feel A Ring of Fire

Recommended Posts

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j178/sebsplex/GDS/HunterRussell_alt.jpg

This journey begins with walking down the street. Keep walking until I stop in front of the Ring of Fire headquarters. A pleasant gym. Push through the double door and!

http://i48.tinypic.com/263kbgm.jpg

"Well. Fresh meat is here boys!"

Followed by a hearty chuckle, Samurai extends his hand

"I'm Huntman. It is a honor to meet you sir. I guess if we were in the ring this would be a Ring of Honor."

I complete the handshake and he pats my shoulder with a concerned look on his face

"The hell is that mate? Anyways onto the business. Welcome to Ring of Fire. Before you finally agree to be booker. I have to let you know. You'll have all of the challenges of booking matches and having matches yourself. Sound good?"

"Woo! Oh yeah!"

"But you'll job out to other stars, but still booking of course.

"Woo!"

"And you'll most likely will only be remembered for never having a belt, but booking great matches."

"Woo."

Just as I finish that hearty woo, another idol of mine walks up

http://i45.tinypic.com/29yjmt4.jpg

"This the bloke kicking Merle off the booking spot?"

"Yes he is Steven. Steven meet Huntman. Huntman meet-"

"The UK Dragon...it is a honor."

"Seems to say that a lot."

"Right. Well welcome aboard mate. Best of luck and all of that."

"Well go around and talk to the other guys. After you're done meet me in my office and we'll talk booking. See you around mate."

I just smile and nod, playing it cool, as Dragon and Samurai walk off. A quick look around the gym and I find myself frowning

"Where is the tea?"

OCC: Credits to Sexplex for making that awesome me render.

RoF Breakdown

Sunday, Week 3, January 2010

Held in the Norman Blue Athletic Center with 23 in attendance

Pre-Show: Jon Michael Sharp def. Nigel Svensson via Flying Cross Body

Rating: D-

http://i45.tinypic.com/uwl6q.jpg VS. http://i48.tinypic.com/2rnkj94.jpg

Jonni Lowlife Vs. Petey Barnes

The crowd wasn't a big fan of these match, but it didn't pull through with the lowest rating. Jonni was great at dodging tonight, but it didn't help him in the long run. To make a short story shorter. Barnes got the win with X-Press. Both men seemed to increase in skills during the match. Still sad that the pre-show got a better rating. Noted.

In an extremely short match, Petey Barnes defeated Jonni Lowlife in 5:16 by pinfall with a X-Press.

Rating: E+

http://i48.tinypic.com/2a6l69v.jpg VS. http://i46.tinypic.com/29peoo7.jpg

Johnny Highspot Vs. Eric Future

In a match that was pretty terrible, but the fans loved it. Make up your minds! Even though his partner had lost earlier. The match could have gone on better, but the fans just couldn't get into the match. They tried their best however. Johnny was cleaning the ring. In Eric's defense he did get some strong blows on Johnny, but that didn't stop him as Johnny got the win.

In a bout that had a good crowd but featured terrible wrestling, Johnny Highspot defeated Eric Future in 6:33 by pinfall with a Frog Splash.

Rating: E

Notes: Eric was off his game. Damn you.

http://i49.tinypic.com/2ni4fhi.jpg VS. http://i50.tinypic.com/2hmzw39.jpg

Huntman Vs. Lance Martin

Decent enough match. Pretty solid with Huntman. Huntman was helping Lance and making him look good the whole match. Even I thought it was passable wrestling and not staged at all. The fans weren't totally into it as they were suspecting Huntman to win.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Lance Martin defeated Huntman in 11:14 by pinfall with a Body Rocker after a distraction from Kelly Martin.

Rating: D

http://i47.tinypic.com/8yu8ao.jpg VS. http://i46.tinypic.com/2lw2m0.jpg

Walter Morgan Vs. Billy Robinson

One of the better matches of the night. Back and forth action with the crowd getting into this match. These two fought all over the center with many close calls. Way too many two counts to call. Beautiful match despite it not getting that much love. Billy pulled through in the end with the submission win.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Billy Robinson defeated Walter Morgan in 9:05 by submission with a Capital City Crucifix.

Rating: D

UK Dragon Vs. British Samurai

Number #1 Contender Match

Best match of the night. Even if it got the same response at the last match.

Samurai got awesome chops on UK Dragon. Shouting "Ha!" each time. That didn't stop UK coming at him however. One of the greater spots in the match was when UK did a top rope dropkick on British. After that the match was in Dragon's hand for now. In the middle of the match Samurai got a great reversal turned into Fisherman's Suplex.

2..

KICK OUT!

My god hat a spot. It was looking good for Samurai at last, but he didn't see a Dragon Drop coming.

3!

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, UK Dragon defeated British Samurai in 17:50 by pinfall with a Dragon Drop.

Rating: D

Overall: D

Note: Good first show. Samurai approved saying "Ay mate. Congrats this-" And then it got really British. So I assumed I did good.

Walking by the locker rooms after our first show, when I stop at the lounge, hearing two men yelling.

http://i48.tinypic.com/2a6l69v.jpghttp://i45.tinypic.com/282e22s.jpg

Johnny: "Ay, why don't you just f*** off you worthless bastard!"

Rhys: "Screw you! You don't scare me!"

The men get closer as Jonni tries holding Johnny back as Gob does to Rhys. Time to step into action

Huntman: "Stop this right now! Johnny whats the matter?"

Johnny: "This idiot here was trying to spread a rumor that I was stealing money from the company!"

Huntman: "Right...well we can be gentlemen about this. Rhys, this is strike number one. Three strikes and you are out. Got it?"

Rhys: "Understood."

The men split off and go in different ways. God first days suck. As I leave I pass by Robert and he just has a goofy grin

http://i48.tinypic.com/263kbgm.jpg

Robert: "First fight mate?"

I couldn't help, but smile. Rob laughed as he walked away

UK Dragon Vs. Merle O'Curle © - Merle is better and the Dragon tours too much to put a title on.

Don Henderson Vs. Walter Morgan - I frigging hate Walter.

Johnny Highspot Vs. Petey Barnes - Highspot has nothing that makes him look good so it must be Barnes.

Huntman Vs. Absolutely Flawless - I like your hat.

Nigel Svensson Vs. Rhys Vali - Push the highly talented Swede.

In future, if you could PM me when you do a prediction key, I'd appreciate it. It helps me keep track of other diaries especially when people like you are kind enough to predict on mine.

RoF When Countries Collide

Sunday, Week 4, February 2010

Held in the Norman Blue Athletic Center with 30 in attendance

Pre-Show: ??? def. Jon Michael Sharp via pinfall

Rating: E

http://i48.tinypic.com/2pzb5n8.jpg VS. http://i46.tinypic.com/2mwxw2g.jpg

Nigel Svensson Vs.Rhys Vali

This match was totally in Nigel's court. He never let Rhys get a chance to fight back and it was just a total bury. Nigel just toyed with Rhys' dead body and got the submission.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Nigel Svensson defeated Rhys Vali in 6:45 by submission with a Hyper Extension Arm Lock.

Rating: E+

Notes: Thats what Rhys gets when he messes with second in command.

Huntman Vs. Absolutely Flawless

Fun match to watch and the fans thought so. Just another match to help these two get over and what not. Kelly was getting a lot of the action and I sense it helped him tonight. Lance got the win with a Body Rocker

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Absolutely Flawless defeated Huntman in 7:59 when Lance Martin defeated Huntman by pinfall with a Body Rocker.

Rating: D+

http://i48.tinypic.com/2rnkj94.jpg VS. http://i48.tinypic.com/2a6l69v.jpg

Petey Barnes Vs. Johnny Highspot

For those who hadn't got the idea yet. This was a number one contender match for the tag team titles. This was another fun match that the crowd had enjoyed. Come title time these men will bring it their all and they showed they had skill tonight. Petey had a great first half, but Johnny ended up getting the win with a Frog Splash.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Johnny Highspot defeated Petey Barnes in 7:36 by pinfall with a Frog Splash.

Rating: D-

http://i47.tinypic.com/8yu8ao.jpg VS. http://i45.tinypic.com/nbrdx3.jpg

Walter Morgan Vs. Don Henderson

Best match of the night so far. The crowd loved this match. Very back and forth with close calls. Walter survived 5 Cutters from Don and still managed to get the Wigan Wrench locked in for the win. Don was upset with this and thought that it was only fair to give the beaten, weaken, Walter a Cutter to send home.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Walter Morgan defeated Don Henderson in 10:13 by submission with a Wigan Wrench.

Rating: C-

UK Dragon Vs. Merle O'Curle ©

Ring Of Fire Championship

Talk about match of the night! UK Dragon came into this match focused on winning and Merle came in focused on keeping his title in his hands. UK worked on Merle's body with many jabs to the gut. Merle had the perfect comeback after a stiff punch. UK Dragon got the Dragon Drop about half way in the match

1...

2...

BREAK

Dragon got up in disbelief of the referee's call. Pissed, he stood up and argued with the referee, giving Merle the time needed to get up. When he did he grabbed Dragon's shoulder, turned him around, and got a Dragon Drop. Letting Dragon get the pin once more

1...

2...

3!!!

UK Dragon has done it! He has one the Ring of Fire Championship!

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, UK Dragon defeated Merle O'Curle in 14:03 by pinfall with a Dragon Drop. UK Dragon wins the Ring Of Fire Championship title.

Rating: C-

Dragon stands up, using the rope as support, and grips his newly won title in his hand. He raises it high and the fans give a mix reaction. However Dragon's expression changes when...

http://i46.tinypic.com/2lw2m0.jpg

Billy Robinson

He ran down to the ring use his Contender title. This is totally unfair! Dragon is still weak

He slides into the ring as the bell goes off.

Billy Robinson defeated UK Dragon in 0:31 by submission with a Capital City Crucifix. Billy Robinson wins the Ring Of Fire Championship title.

Billy laughs and holds his...newly won title in the air as the show ends
