Editor question

I am new to this version of the game having played some of the much older versions years ago. On the editor when I start a new database and bring everything over is there a way for the promotions to automatically populate with same set up as the default or would I have to redo each of them? Fo instance SWF has no one in it right now including the owner and his son. Am I missing a step or do I have to repopulate them myself?

I am using XP so this is how I would do it on my computer.

 

Click on the start button.

 

Go to my computer and click on that.

 

In my computer, click on the local disk icon.

 

From there click on the program files folder.

 

Look for your GDS folder and click on that.

 

Go to the TEW2010 folder and click on that.

 

Go to the databases folder and click on that.

 

Go into the default folder and click on that.

 

Highlight everything that is in the default folder and copy it.

 

Go back to the databases folder and click on the database folder that you want to send everything to.

 

Upon entering the new database just past the old data into the new database.

 

And that should be it, hope this works out for you.

 

Also, if there is a simpler way of doing this please post it here because I would like to know.

Sounds like you just want to make a copy of the database, which is easily done. Go to wherever you have TEW2010 installed -> Databases -> then copy and paste the default one next to it. Rename it something less than 12 alphanumeric characters and you've got a world fully populated and ready to go.... which you can then change without fear of losing your original one. Just make sure to change databse in game.

 

If that isn't what you want... then the answer is no. No way to import contracts or move sets or things like that.
