Guest KingOfKings
One thing that has been bothering me through my current watcher game. Why are title changes so rare?, specifically Main Event titles in promotions Cult or above. Iv'e played through a whole year and not one main event title has changed hands in any promotion I don't believe. In SWF, TCW, USPW and NOTBPW not one title has changed hands at all. While in smaller promotions only some of the lower level titles have changed. It's very rare nowadays for a champion to hold on to his title more than 5 months at a time. For example WWE. While yes there are those rare title reigns that last up to a year. Triple H, John Cena and JBL come to mind. But does anyone else feel that title changes are far too rare in TEW? Ben_91
Especially on the title history aswell. 1-2 title changes per year for SWF.
FINisher
No, quite the opposite as I think WWE is doing it wrong right now, badly. Title changes depend on the Head Booker of the promotion, check those things out from the editor
Self
Especially on the title history aswell. 1-2 title changes per year for SWF. To be fair on that front, putting 4-5 title changes per year in the Title History section of the database sounds like a MASSIVE waste of time to me. Lots of work, little-to-no reward. Tempest Kane
I for one LOVE that titles change hands less frequently ingame. Just coz WWE is hot shotting its title like a little jezzable been pimped around a cell block dosnt mean the game has to reflect this. In the cornellverse title prestige still means something. Adam Ryland
It's done on the booker's preferences (which can be changed if you don't like them) based on number of defences; the first year can be somewhat unusual as you have to remember that everybody is effectively starting at zero defences, whereas when you're a few years in people will be at different amounts and so title changes become staggered. TEWFan
That's strange, in my game USPW changes the midcard belt from Andre Jones to The Force on pretty much every single game I have started. But you are right, the only other belts I have seen change hands are usually in Mexico.

And not for nothing, but this is really annoying (at least to me). So every promotion in every different arena (even GAMES) should emulate WWE? When I'm playing TEW, I'm not comparing everything that every promotion does to WWE (maybe I'm the odd one). I've done a 19 year watcher sim (just prior to the demo's release) and it works out just fine, almost exactly according to booker preferences. You're looking at way too narrow a view. There are times when even a booker with 'frequent' title change preference will have a champion hold a title for a long period of time. Dig deeper and you find that the champion was the ONLY person worthy of holding that title for that period. When an alternative was presented, the title changed hands. The AI doesn't change titles willy nilly in hotshot fashion as some real life promotions do. You're not going to see SWF put the world title on Joe Sexy just because. Not when they have a multitude of people better suited to be champion (without killing them). Also, keep in mind that the environments are different. WWE could put on crappy shows for a year because they have no competition. Is that the case for SWF? Thus, the GAME entity has to work differently. Come back and complain if the same thing happens in year 2-4.

Come back and complain if the same thing happens in year 2-4. Well no, to be fair I was only comparing the WWE to the major North American promotions. I can see your points though. I wasn't necessarily complaining. I love the game either way and i'm going to enjoy it. Was simply wondering why it was like this. Adams and yours explanations have cleared it up. praguepride
This does address an underlying point that you can't start the year with defences on a title reign. Everyone starts at 0.... /wanders off to the suggestion thread.

I forget if it is in the title history or title edititor itself. Spelling booooooooo.
