Jaysin
Why is there www.greydogsoftware.com/forum and then this When I'm logged into one, I'm not logged into the other. I've clicked peoples links taking me to one or the other and I have to log in all over again. Is there any reason its doing this?

I can't recall exactly what the problem was, but they created the second as a backup for the first.

It's kind of a hassle to log in after you click a link
Arrows
Perhaps they use those forums full time. To them, it'd only be natural to use those links. Not really sure of any other answer.
Jaysin
I suppose that makes sense. Thanks for the answers
mistaken
Well huh...so why are people using the back up one for links? It's kind of a hassle to log in after you click a link well, I know the IP address is probably less likely to change than the web address, when/if they switch service providers again. personally i build by links using the [thread=][/thread] & demarkations as much as possible as those are pretty much guaranteed to work as long as the site's data integrity is maintained. (the above suggestion was made by a mod actually)

I favourited the IP link way back when, and even when I've upgraded PC's I've always moved my favourites over. Now, if I'm on at work I'll use the Greydogsoftware site, but at home it'll be through Favourites, back to the IP site.
James Casey
The furore over the '08 demo caused the switch, I believe. Like eayragt I used the IP address until I upgraded my computer a year or so back, but then I specifically started using the proper address again.
