So I opened up a women's promotion, and then cried a little because Lauren and Wanda aren't available. Then I hired Katherine Goodlooks, changed her name, and used an alt that doesn't have that stupid bear. She's put on the best match at every show since the game started. I mean, I knew she had talent, but she's outperforming women who seem like they should be doing better based on pure stats- Tamara and Melody put on good matches, sure, but they can't keep up with Kathy.

 

Which makes me wonder which wrestlers other people have had that turned out to perform far beyond expectations.

What's so surprising? She has better performance stats then Tamara and Melody. Her entertainment skills blow Tamara out of the water and she's more versatile then Melody.

 

Plus I"m guessing you're running a popularity based fed in America, and Katherine is more popular in the US then either Melody or Tamara.

I've been doing that since 07. Got Clarity to make me a new render for her and when I sign her, I repackage her under her real name and give her a submission machine gimmick and push her straight to the top of the card.

This. Michelle Cox can anchor a promotion from day one. This time around, I'm pairing her with Jaime Quine (using a shooter/kickboxer type gimmick) and using them to elevate/train my tag teams. She's only 'unlikely' because so many people fixate on 'Strong' and 'Easter' and 'Fish' and don't actually pay attention to who has skills outside of that circle. How else do you explain people being surprised that Stephanie Wade made "the big time" in 08 when her ability obviously made her one of the best options (young, talented, entertainer in-ring style, cheap). The same can be said this year for Kristabel Plum. You'd have to be blind not to see it, given her profile.
