This game is Easier for making new stars???

Recommended Posts

I'm playing WWE, and I signed Don Paysan. In less than 2 months I was able to bring him from enhancement talent to Lower Midcarder. I've gave him some busy weeks wrestling 3 of the 4 shows. Raw (first match TV time), ECW(1st match TV time) and Superstar. He went from 0 popularity in USA to 60 everywhere.

It's pretty cool by having a wrestler win on TV helps him getting over fast

I've seen Dan Paysan with some very good stats in some mods, including fairly high Star Quality (B or B+), plus pretty good charisma. Even with just a B SQ, putting him on TV three times a week is going to cause someone to jump up pretty quickly.

Think about it this way - unless those matches or segments you used him in arre particularly short, he would be getting as much or more TV time than anyone currently in the WWE universe.

Plus the fact that all you've really done is taken him from someone nobody ever heard of, to someone most wrestling fans know. It's much harder (but still not really all that hard) to take him to the next level: Someone people actually care about, and push him to the upper echelons of the card.

A paper bag, if it gets enough TV time, could become a lower midcarder in the WWE. :p

You had him wrestling what... 3x a week for 2 months? That's 24 shows. Again, if he was putting on even halfway decent matches, his exposure alone would make him a known name.

Popularity is an exponential curve though. Getting someone from 0 - 10 is far far easier then getting someone from 90 - 100 even though the distance is the same.

So perhaps it will then take you about 6 months of solid push to make him a midcarder, then another year to get him to the upper card, then maybe another 2-4 years to become a main event star?

Suddenly it's not so fast, eh? But then again with super stats, high or excellent potential and a lucky roll on the destiny die and he could be a superstar within the year. And you know what, that happens in real life too. Some people hit the ring and you just know they're going to be dynomite!

Like Heidenreich :D

Its easier to get people over in this version. If you give someone a brute/legit gimmick, and just let them dominate matches, their fame shoots right up.

Same with the cool or c0cky gimmicks.

The fact gimmicks matter is one of the best new features in this game.

Would make an interesting Wrespi diary.

Or a main eventer. 90 percent of them couldn't fight their way out of it anyway.
