Former NWA World Heavyweight champion and WWE Hall of Famer Jack Brisco has passed away this morning, he was 68. There aren't many details as of now, but Brisco did undergo a triple heart bypass several weeks ago and he was in a rehab center to recover. Briscoe was a former NWA Champion, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with brother Gerry in 2008.

More shortly.

On behalf of everyone here on the website, I would like to offer our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Jack Brisco.

R.I.P. Jack, so sad. way too many deaths as of later.

Should I LOL or CRY?

Lol till you cry? :) C'mon, it's not like wrestling has NEVER had 'brothers' who are not actually related. I do see the Dudley family resemblance though. Same glasses.

I honestly had no idea - I remembered 'Brisco and Patterson' as Vince's henchmen, but have no clue about their wrestling past. I watched WWF in the late 80's as a kid, but have no knowledge of wrestling before that time, and never really had the inclination to learn.

That said, I'm having a go at getting back into it at the moment. Sitting down to my first Royal Rumble in 11 years tonight :)

Fair enough. I figured if you were on this site you would be a wrestling "fan" in terms of knowing quite a bit about the nostalgia.

I'm trying :) Loved it from the late 80's untill the turn of the century, couldn't get enough. Loved ECW, WCW and WWF. Didn't really see anything else though.

Started trying to get into TNA before Christmas, basically for a magazine article I'm writing on links between wrestling and MMA. Watched a couple of ROH shows, TNA and going for the first WWE show tonight. TNA was easy to get into as half the people there were in WCW/WWF/E when I stopped watching, but I only know a handfull of guys on the WWF roster at the mo, so I figured the Rumble would be a good way to see everyone at once.

The Bushwhackers are still going, right? :D
