Bigdummie
Hope this isn't a dumb question, but plan on purchasing, am somewhat confused about the mods available. Are there any mods that start with the old time wrestlers, (1970's early 80"s). Being an old guy, I enjoy that time period. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
James Casey
Death of the Territories is the classic mod that picks up in... 1983 or 84, I think. It has all the real world feds and is a great mod all around. I believe an up to date version is available for 2010, but otherwise there were versions for 2005 and 2007 definitely, so you may want to have a poke around on those (2005 is freeware and will give you some ideas on how to play the game) to see if it's what you're after. Each of the games has its own mod section, so just searching in there should turn up the relevant threads. Enjoy!

It is currently in the works though. but otherwise there were versions for 2005 and 2007 definitely, so you may want to have a poke around on those (2005 is freeware and will give you some ideas on how to play the game) to see if it's what you're after. So he could try converting that over while waiting for the official 2010 version. And good move recommending DOTT. It's a terrific snapshot of a much simpler era in the industry and by far my favorite of the reality-based mods. There's been talk from D Boon and company about a prequel mod set in like 1977 or thereabouts. But that's never come about yet. The best I've seen for that decade is the recently renamed That 70's Mod (aka C-Verse 75). But for folks Brother Dummie would remember, DOTT is the best bet. Bigdummie
Thaks for the info. I do have WS 2 and DOTT is an excellent mod. So it is available for TEW10? Thanks again for everyones help, as I'm not computer savy, converting it may not be easy for me. I'm getting my credit card out so at least I can try some mods. Thanks
The Bouncing Beatnik
Actually, DOTT started as a TEW project, and then was adapted very successfully for the WMMA series. I might also suggest Tommy Tomlin's War of the Immortals scenario for TEW 2008- while not strictly an old-school mod (it's more of an all time greats), it has a number of workers modded as active wrestlers who were long retired by 1983; there should be a number of wrestlers there from the time period you're interested in. I love historical mods too, it just the fun of recreating the history..

Bigdummie
I was afraid that was going to be the answer. So in a nutshell, my best option for a old-time mod other than DOTT would be? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

DaceSenoit
Hey Bigdummie, Go ahead and wait for Tommy's War of the Immortals II. It features most of the major players from pro wrestling history, including the 1970's and 1980's guys you love. Tommy will release a beta version in upcoming weeks or months. Bigdummie
Thank You for the info. Only purchased since yesterday, trying to figure the game out. Derek B
Thank You for the info. Only purchased since yesterday, trying to figure the game out. I did DL a mod, but can't figure out what folder to put it in so its back to the default for me. Thanks again Should be easy. Since you know what a folder is (which is a BIG help! ) then you should just copy your Default folder and make a new one with whatever relevant name (like Real World)... then paste ALL of the downloaded database files over the default ones. Easy peasy.

It's set in December 1997 and has alot of work put into it. If that's far enough back for you I hope you enjoy. And welcome to GDS

Bigdummie
I am amazed by the number of responses to my mod question. It would seem that if ones patient, many good things are on the horizon. Thanks again for all the nice comments. I try to support GDS and other small developers whenever I can for it would be pretty dull without thier efforts, and they sure arn't getting rich.
