Kobe1724
Do you always play the same promotion? Or a different one every time, maybe? Do you have games that last 2 years or 2 days? Do you get attached to workers? What kills a game for you, and when do you know you're playing a special one? Who/what do you love about CVerse? For me, I'm the sort of person that is driven to immersion in a game by 1 or 2 characters (the TEW 2008 draft with Genadi's 2002 data would have been 1000% less fun for me if I hadn't gotten The Rock, for example, as he's my fave real world wrestler by miles). In a CVerse game (or any other for that matter) I find a few workers that really engage me, and then the game world/my promotion thrives around them. I can't just pick from 20 different promotions in a mod. I have a promotion that I like, and a few wrestlers that are "mine" and I play them in every game and don't let go. I fall in love with them a little bit, and I never can play a cult or smaller/non written contract promotions for that reason (losing one of my "chosen" workers would effectively end a game for me). I typically end up creating my own promotion that starts at national and then playing the data for months from there. I actually spend more time simming and modding than playing, but every time I've started a game (normally about 4-6 months after a new TEW games release, when the modding and simming is out of my system) I play it off and on until I get bored with whatever data set I'm playing because I spend so much time cultivating my roster and thinking about who I want on it. I love Charlize Angelle more than any TEW worker I haven't created myself (didn't realize how much so until she retired and took my ability to build her into a star with it this year in 2010), and I contemplate deleting Princepessa every time I see her in the data (she irks me horribly for some reason). Wolf Hawkins, Gargantuan and Flash Savage get moon pushed by me whenever I get them (which is most of the time). The idea of having Tommy Cornell on my roster bores me. I don't think I've ever played a promotion without altering their product to have at least heavy risque. Even if I don't use anything risque in my shows, I like the idea of the freedom. That's all for now.
Rayelek
For me, failure really kills a game for me. Like, if I'm playing SWF or TCW and drop to Cult, that's a real buzzkill. Or if I forget to resign some worker that's key to my plans. There are a few workers that I always like to get, but those come frome reading other people's diaries, so they're usually spread throughout different promotions. CQI13
Promotions: I prefer entertainment based fed, thous I stay away from the big 2 (takes too long to book). Games: I have yet to go long term on a game, but hopefully this will be the one. Workers: The first thing I look at is the picture. I can change names and gimmicks, but the picture is key. Last year I was big on Gargantuan (no pun intended). This year, Maurice Jackson looks like he'll be someone I'll be signing in every game I play. CVerse: Love the balance, and the fact that while some worker tend to lend themselves to have the starting feuds, there's enough open endedness to let you be creative as to who you pair off. I've stopped even looking at RW mods, though DOTT is still a personal favorite.
sabataged
I rarely play as the top promotions. All though the struggling TCW peaks my interest this year. I generally have a alot of games as CGC, CZCW, NYCW, and USPW all for their own reasons. CZCW as the straight up no angles anyone vs anyone promotion they are. I like CGC for the entertainment value they bring. I look at it as mini SWF sometimes. NYCW and USPW have the same old school value to me. NCYW's roster took a blow this year it seems so they don't draw much interest from me. I look foward to my CZCW game to windw down and start PSW, ACPW and USPW games in the future. atomzero
I usually create and build realism or pure based promotions from the ground up. Sometimes I get a kick out of trying in a region that doesn't favor it. My favorite workers to acquire: Nigel Svensson Merle O'Curle Death Monkey American Patriot among others... Rabbit915
In most of my games i take a C-verse fed from the yet to debut list, make them active and start playing with them. It feels wrong to me to walk into a promotion and just start playing, ecspecially when they already had a booker in place. I then try to book the promotion as close to the product and descriptions that are in the game. Thats my guiding philosophy for every decision i make. I usually play performance based feds ecspecially pure/realism based ones. I do occassionally play traditional feds and sometimes even full blown sports entertainment. I also generally stick to smaller promotions because i always start small and although kind of embarassed to admit it, i struggle to take promotions to cult and beyond. kingtutt
I usually play SWF. I was a HUGE WWF fan during the New Generation and early Attitude era, and that's about the only wrestling I ever watched. Hated WCW, watched a bit of ECW when it hit TNN (Spike), but I just never really experienced any other types of wrestling, so I have no idea how to book anything but a WWF-style promotion. I used to try my hand at CGC but always got frustrated with low ratings. I tried my hand at NOTBW and MAW. Tried a couple Japan games, but I just can't figure that out. I'm waiting for a really good Japan diary that will help me get into the puro scene...just don't understand it. Any suggestions? As for favorite workers, when working with SWF I always seem to want to push Frederique...I'm really not sure why. I also like the Samoans, though I get so frustrated because they just never go anywhere. In my current game I've rebranded them as the "Samoan Mafia" with underworld gimmicks, so maybe that'll give me some different ideas as to how to book them....E+ and E- momentum right now though...not looking good. Remianen
QAW is my preferred promotion and I always alter their product to whatever my preferred product for that TEW edition is. That's primarily because with years invested in the promotion, it's the one I have the most graphics accumulated for. Also, since it's not a pre-existing promotion, I can mold it to my own concept. Outside of mod testing, I tend to always run long term games (though several at a time, often in parallel). My longest game in 08 was 23 years (Lucy Stone-McFly was nearing the women's retirement cutoff age). So far, my longest is a 12 year throwaway game (I play it a lot when traveling. When at home, I play other saves). I have favorite workers, though they all seem to get locked up elsewhere between games (Alicia Strong, Lauren Easter, and now Yori Toyoshima) but they're usually replaced by projects I can mold (Lauren Easter, Yori Toyoshima, and Yoko Ikina, respectively). I don't tend to get fixated on one or another worker. I'm a builder, a developer of talent, so I just cast my gaze outward and find the next star to make (Michelle Cox (Katherine Goodlooks), Golden Delicious, Yoko Ikina, Missy Masterson, and even trying to change and develop Wendy Anderson). I mostly stick to unemployed workers unless there's someone I feel is really underutilized (Masterson, Blake, Wade, Anderson, York). I'm more likely to fixate on new workers (Cheyenne, Yu Hashimoto, Romi Yamato, Eri Sato, and this year, Selina Svelte and Talia Quinzel) but even then, I don't sweat them at all. I'm a starmaker so it doesn't really matter who the worker is, if I decide they're going to be a star, then a star they'll be. If I have a favorite C-Verse worker, surprising as it is, it's Melanie Florence. I value reliability and consistency and with Mel in the 2-seat, that's exactly what I get (chemistry permitting). But it's always fun to fire up a new game with the goal of making someone else huge.
Historian
So far, my longest is a 12 year throwaway game (I play it a lot when traveling. When at home, I play other saves). You must do a lot of traveling I have favorite workers, though they all seem to get locked up elsewhere between games (Alicia Strong, Lauren Easter, and now Yori Toyoshima) but they're usually replaced by projects I can mold (Lauren Easter, Yori Toyoshima, and Yoko Ikina, respectively). Lauren Easter must be extra special if she can be both a favorite worker who gets locked up, and a project to be molded at the same time! :) Anyway, I tend to play a variety of games, bouncing back and forth. I have games where I play as TCW, games where I play as a 0/0/0 that I'm trying to make into something special, and games that fall some place in between. My favorite workers seem to shift as my needs shift. I've grown rather fond of Jay Chord, and all his personality. He's a jerk, and I like it! I also love Brady Prince, because quite frankly, when I run a 0/0/0 game, he's always my top main event heel. Lisa Bowen has moved up my list in terms of managers. Gotta love the daughter of the Train!
Remianen
You must do a lot of traveling Around now? Yeah. I usually re-up Gold Medallion status with Delta (50k miles) between January and April. Lauren Easter must be extra special if she can be both a favorite worker who gets locked up, and a project to be molded at the same time! :) You misunderstand. The two statements follow on from each other. As in, when I lost Alicia Strong, Lauren Easter and Yori Toyoshima became the projects. When I lost Lauren Easter and Yori Toyoshima (2010), Yoko Ikina became the project. In fact, I have to amend that. My new projects are Chiyeko Kita and Yukiko Matsumara, if only because of the awesome new renders jtlant did for them. They're my tag team project this time around. Kainlock
latley I have been on a TCW fix. I like alot of the changes this year with them. I usally hire 4 or 5 workers to come in to make a star. The Keith brothers are a no brainer since Sam is there. The one issue i have is Rocky Golden as champion. I really want to see if I can make him a star, he just gives me so little to work with. I also usually have a sim game going. To run when i am not using my computer. in 2008 I made it to 2027.

Remianen
Remi, are there any women you refuse to use on your rosters? Anna Ki. I've tried but she's more of a 'diva' and I don't employ them too often. Yuko Okui (no worries now though). Nene Ebina. Helen Earth. Jessica Bunny. Devil's Daughter (thrice bitten...). Monster Ishimura. Joanna Silver. Sister Beth Mercy (I'd send her to development for a year or let her stew on BSC's roster). Sprite. Nurse Hope Daye. Paige Croft and Fuyuko Higa ("You're poison killing my backstage!" < /Alice Cooper > ). Quite a few of them.
shining wiz
I'm by no means a veteran of game play, but I like to start my own promotion and try to build it up. I have a realistic/traditional approach which is working out well so far, and allows me to do almost anything with my shows as long as I put enough promos in and have clean finishes. I essentially tried to create a promotion I would actually want to watch. With that being my game style, I'm familiar with some indy names - Davis Wayne Newton, Acid, Steve Flash, etc - but not overly familiar with some of the guys on the bigger rosters. I have everyone in the game with C+ and above mat wrestling, chain wrestling and basics short listed though, so as game time goes on, I grow and contracts come up, I"m starting to learn more about some of them.
