NWO4until01
If your a larger sized promotion with tv audience nationwide, how much benefit does a region get if you host the weekly show there? Using TCW as an example, they're about a B- avg across the US. if my show ends up being an 'A', how much more (if any) popularity increase does the hosting region get compared to the rest of the nation watching on tv? LucianCarter
I've never noticed a difference.
FINisher
A lot more, actually. I think it's about 0.2-0.4 spillover all around the area where the show is broadcasted but 1.0-1.2 in the region where you hold it, if the show's rating is that good. But that factor depends on so, so many things so there simply isn't any 'right' answer except the region where you hold the show gets more increase than the regions where it's broadcasted
jesterx7769
Yeah they are right, I gain around .3 consistently by putting on B shows in my game and I gain about .7 in the region i actually hold it in
NWO4until01
Ok, thanks for the answers. What about with regards to house shows. I know you cant gain popularity, it just prevents it from falling. but if your tv show is broadcast nationwide and the shows are of a decent standard (no fall in popularity), would house shows have any use at all? Using TCW again as an example, if they're 'D' popularity in mexico, would house shows in mexico be a better idea than in the US to protect my popularity until I nail a mexican tv deal? (edit) or even better example, canada instead of mexico...

So yes, house shows DO serve a purpose. As for putting them in Mexico... is their popularity that high because of spillover? If so, there's no real point in having house shows there. Gigas
If your pop in Mexico is a D, why not expand your TV show to Mexico?
NWO4until01
Gigas, thats why I had the popularity queries above. waiting on tv negotiations to start, but TCW is kind of precariously positioned above cult and below international. So I just wanted to clarify a few things up until tv negs. thanks all.
