Crow
Just wondering if this is the case for anyone else... I just ran a successful card (88 rating). The opening segment was an interview which rated a 100, then a slow build the rest of the show. Most matches and segments getting between 60-68ish. Then the semi-main event match got an 85 and the main event match got a 93. On the dirt sheet, the main event got the 'poorly placed' negative, and the road agent notes said 'poorly placed due to crowd already being warmed up'. I've noticed that I've gotten that a lot lately, and I'm wondering how others set up their cards, in terms of ratings, to avoid that message during your main events. Thanks! LucianCarter
Why are you working the crowd in a main event?

All Out is actually just basically big spot after big spot that can really wear a crowd out quickly.

That being said, Work the crowd is okay for an opening match, but I think I've also heard of people using it in the semi-main event matches to not burn the crowd out before the big finish of the show.
Gigas
what better time to wear out a crowd than the ME?

If i have a short ME, i always use all out and the match gets a bonus if the workers can handle it.

You'll get the poorly placed match anytime you try to work the crowd when the crowd is already lively though. If you have a great roster like NOTBPW, theres probably 0 reason to ever use the note because your crowd will be worked up from the great matches.

benjacko
I've been going with All Out for the opening match, All Out for semi main event and Slow Build for main event which seems to work well in this version for me.

jesterx7769
Yeah it doesn't, he's just trying to be smart. And actually in the help file under the example part Adam uses it for an SWF main event reasoning it is the main event and you want them to steal the show (which is entertainment based as FIN said) but I've used it in performance and never received bad notes about it

Crow
Haha, wow. Thanks everyone. Clearly I've misunderstood what "work the crowd" means. Ever since TEW08, I assumed it meant that the workers would try to put on an 'up and down' kind of match that gets the crowd riled up. Now I understand that, while it's true that it gets the crowd going, it more-so means to 'warm up the crowd', if I'm understanding this correctly. Thanks!
