Advice on determining show locations

Recommended Posts

So how does everyone determine where they run their shows? Obviously if you're a small or cult promotion you'll run in your usual areas for the most part, but if you're a National or Global how do you decide where to go?

I usually just start in Great Lakes and will work my way down the regions, running a different one every week. I never know how often to go over to Europe, Japan, etc though. I figure the PPV's and TV shows take care of that but I do need to run shows there, correct?

Also, say I am doing WWF in 1992 or whatever the mod is. On Monday is Raw, my A show, so I run it in Great Lakes. I have Superstars and Wrestle Challenge as B shows on Tuesday. I just usually stick in the Great Lakes for those shows. That isn't going to have a negative effect is it?

Thanks for the advice.

I run my TV shows and PPVs only in my strongest regions. I use TV and PPV coverage to boost the weaker regions and my international tours are done in untelevised fashion.

I run TCW the same way run my Tv shows in areas I have B pop, and PPV's in the south west with a B+ pop. The rest of the country I am a B- and use them with house shows and "B" shows.
