This mod uses the 1993 Mod. I'll be updating on an in-game "monthly" basis, giving you the big news, and hot storylines of each month. This dynasty will also focus on the business and developmental systems as well as storylines.

January 1993

THE ROYAL RUMBLE

Bret Hart began 1993 embroiled in a bitter title feud with Bam Bam Bigelow. Bam Bam had gained the services of Tag-Team Champions Money Inc. and had them carry out a number of brutal attacks on Bret and Owen Hart throughout January. Bret would get his revenge at The Royal Rumble, defeating Bam Bam in a B+ match. The feud served to get Bam Bam over a legitimate Main Event player for the first half of the year and solidified Bret's place as a fighting World Champion.

Meanwhile, at the same PPV, Ric Flair won the 1993 Royal Rumble, narrowly defeating The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan and Razor Ramon. Elsewhere on the show, the feuds between Mr. Perfect and new WWF signee Terry Funk came to a head when Perfect beat Funk for number one contendership to Shawn Michael's IC Title.

FEBRUARY/MARCH 1993

As the Road to Wrestlemania IX began, Ric Flair quickly got under the skin of The Hitman, defeating Bret's brother Owen in the main event of Raw in an A match. Flair aligned himself with Lex Luger, a current enemy of Owen and the Harts and Flair and Luger were at each other's throats leading up to Mania.

In what could be the biggest news of the year, WCW Headliner STING signed with WWF in mid-February, most likely as a result of WCW losing two TV deals in two weeks, relegating their exposure to only WCW Worldwide. Sting jumped ship and immiediatly became a force, rescuing Owen Hart from a brutal attack by Lex Luger and Ric Flair.

Also returning to WWF in February was The Mountie whom, despite losing all of his matches, was gaining popularity due to some stellar matches with Bret Hart, Sting, and Randy Savage. On the flipside was The return of The British Bulldog, who, despite much fanfare and hype for his return, simply didn't catch fire with the fans.

What started out as a verbal battle between two color commentators quickly erupted into a hateful frenzy as Randy Savage and Roddy Piper took their bad blood from the announcers desk into the squared circle. A serious of hot draws on Raw inevitably led to a big match to settle the score at Wrestlemania.

Razor Ramon found the biggest target of them all at the Royal Rumble, using underhanded tactics to eliminate Hulk Hogan. Ever since, Razor has promised to make Hogan's life a living hell, enlisting the help of fellow cronies Shawn Michaels and Diesel to stack the numbers against the Hulkster.

The IC Champ Shawn Michaels had his own problems leading into Wrestlemania. Perfect problems you might say. Mr. Perfect and Shawn had a battle of one upsmanships in a serious of contests leading up to Mania to prove just who the better athlete was. Mania would answer that question once and for all.

During this time, WWF had begun to lay the groundwork for a developmental system, initially acquiring the services of the USWA. Upon seeing the success of rival promotion Smokey Mountain Wrestling and their TV deal, WWF also brought them under the developmental umbrella. From the active roster, Lex Luger, Yokozuna and Doink The Clown were the first to be sent to developmental, being trained under the tutelage of Andre The Giant, Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon. In May, due to USWA's one show a month schedule, USWA was eliminated as a WWF territory in favor of the newly created Ohio Valley Wrestling, in which the WWF wanted a 4-day a week tour system for more matches for their workers. See below for full developmental roster.

APRIL/MAY/JUNE

WRESTLEMANIA AFTERMATH

As the dust settled from Wrestlemania a slew of possible contenders became clear. Randy Savage and Hogan were both in line for their shot, but before any challenges could be made, Hogan and Savage had to deal with the ****y young upstarts of HBK, Razor and Diesel. Using their numbers to their advantage, the force of the three unwittingly brought back the almighty force of the Mega Powers!

Bret and Flair put on perhaps the MOTY winner at Wrestlemania IX. But not one to take a loss lying down, Flair was consumed with the Hart family, once again cheapshotting Owen Hart the day after Wrestlemania, igniting a feud with Owen.

Bret meanwhile had to deal with the overblown confidence of Roddy Piper, who despite his loss at Wrestlemania, was simply tearing the crowds apart with his mic skills. Terrorizing the Hitman for weeks, Hart finally accepted Piper's challenge for a title shot at King of The Ring 1993.

The KOTR brackets thus year have seen The Million Dollar Man, Marty Jannety, The Mountie and the return of Road Warrior Hawk all reach the semi-finals. The tournament will conclude at the PPV.

Other notable feuds leading into KOTR: Mr. Perfect defends his IC title against Irwin R. Shyster, Sting wants revenge against Bam Bam Bigelow, and The Undertaker was blinded by Rick "The Model" Martel.

In a Goldberg-esque meteoric rise to the top, Sid Vicious signed with WWF in early February and has seen a rise from C+ popularity levels to A* in a matter of months. The fans have caught on the renegade destroyer, who has yet to meet an opponent he couldn't dominate in the WWF. Rumblings are that a title shot isn't far away for Sid.

We're only two weeks away from KING OF THE RING 1993. Stay tuned!

DEVELOPMENTAL NEWS:

The first graduates of the WWF developmental system were Booker T, Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Johnny Polo (Raven). Chavo has found success in the midcard, with one of the best matches of the year so far against Razor Ramon. Johnny Polo has found an excellent tag-team partner in the Mountie and the two have been tearing up the lower card tag ranks. Booker T is still "enhancing" others as he gains valuable experience. Iceman King Parsons impressed many in the early days of the USWA contract and just recently made his debut on TV in an impressive showing against Ric Flair.

In SMW, Lex Luger has won the title and seems to be feuding with Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers in a series of title matches. OVW is set to begin touring in late June.

As a loose guideline, OVW is being used more to train the wrestlers how to work (4 shows a week), where SMW is more focused on the entertainment aspect (TV deal). USWA is still under contract, giving a place to work for contracted established wrestlers in which the WWF has no plans for at the moment. Wrestlers can and will bounce between territories as they develop their skills infront of new audiences.
