ash1983
yeah i wondered if that was the case. is there actually anything in real life written in where on a ppa deal you have to give 7 days notice? surely if you have a ppa deal and get signed up by one of the big guns on a written you could go straight away couldnt you? I think it is a case of being polite rather than anything else. For example when CM Punk signed a deal to join WWE he was allowed to complete several dates for ROH before he actually left. Now whether that was because his contract didn't require him to leave until then, I am not sure. But I suppose this would count as a real life example. Gigas
Pretty sure before Christian left WWE, he actually worked 1-2 events for free to end a storyline or something strange like that. I remember he left on really good terms.

You'd still have a contract, and most (all?) employment contracts would have a notice period.

DaMegaFish
Just be glad it works this way unlike EWR where your star champion could get signed away, leave instantly, and just mess you up royally.
Historian
In real life, normally, if you're signed to a contract by WWE (now remember, most people are signed to developmental deals) you're allowed to finish out bookings you've already accepted, within reason. CM Punk was allowed to finish all of the dates with ROH that he had been announced for at the time, because WWE didn't want to screw ROH, because that's bad for business. They did the same with Bryan Danielson and with James Gibson. Personally, sometimes I wish I could sign someone and have them show up instantly. Sometimes I want that big impact of having someone just leave their company, but, it's not a big deal, because I understand why it doesn't happen.
