Guest TeeKayOne
Hello, my name is Tim and I play TEW 2005 for the first time. I've got a few questions to become a good player in this game. Showbooking: I don't know how to get good assessments for Hype Videos and matches. I have planed storylines and complete one point after the other but more than a "C"-assessment I don't get. How important is the lenght of these showacts? Is there any allround solution for booking matches and hype videos? Road Agent Notes: What do I have to do here? How much points must I tell the road agent and what does he make on his own? Is it important to plan every single detail? 4 Men Storyline: I want to start a 4 men storyline but there is only a unchained possibility. Is there any chance to have a 4 men storyline with steps to complete? Other things: Should I oriantate me only at the storylines or do other videos and angles, too? Waht does the fans like? What do they want to see? I'm playing Cutting Edge style. How many matches and how many angles should I have in one show? How is the distrubution between angles and matches? 50:50? Please give me some hints to get more fun by playing this game. Thank you very much. Sorry for my bad english. It's not my best language I have. Rick Savant
D-Lyrium's FAQ is super useful. I strongly recommend you read it: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46989 Showbooking: I don't know how to get good assessments for Hype Videos and matches. Hype Videos – Unless you change it in the editor hype videos are based on the overness/popularity of the wrestler(s) involved. You can see how popular a wrestler is in their profile. So if a guy has F popularity where you're holding your show then a hype video about him will get a bad rating. If he has A* popularity then it will probably go over well. Matches – Try to match guys who have complimenting style, that click together and depending on the style of your promotion, that are skilled workers/are entertaining and that are popular. I have planed storylines and complete one point after the other but more than a "C"-assessment I don't get. How important is the lenght of these showacts? “C” assessments – How popular are you? Because if your fed is sitting at “D” popularity then that “C” rating is awesome! “C” is not bad, it's relative to your popularity which you can view in the Your Promotion section. If you're running a modern day mod and you're the WWE then, yeah... your “C” rating is poor, but if you're CHIKARA then it's probably pretty good. To my knowledge length of the segment does not affect it's rating. Is there any allround solution for booking matches and hype videos? No. Road Agent Notes: What do I have to do here? How much points must I tell the road agent and what does he make on his own? Is it important to plan every single detail? He makes everything on his own unless you tell him otherwise. So if you do not tell him anything then he will decide who wins, how they win, and everything else in the match. You can give him as many instructions as you want or as little as you want. But if you want Evan Bourne to beat John Cena by submission then you should probably put in the notes “Evan Bourne to be the victor” and “The match to end with a submission” because your road agent is unlikely to choose that ending. So if you want certain things to happen in a match: A guy interferes, someone cheats to win, it ends in a count out etc then you need to use notes to tell the game that's what you want. If you don't care who wins the match or how, then leave it blank. The more you plan the more control you will have over your promotion and the pushes you give your wrestlers, if you prefer a hands off attitude that's fine too I suppose. 4 Men Storyline: I want to start a 4 men storyline but there is only a unchained possibility. Is there any chance to have a 4 men storyline with steps to complete? Yes. Storylines > Add Storyline > Write Storyline. Then just set the first four slots as catalyst. Other things: Should I oriantate me only at the storylines or do other videos and angles, too? Waht does the fans like? What do they want to see? I'm playing Cutting Edge style. How many matches and how many angles should I have in one show? How is the distrubution between angles and matches? 50:50? Cutting Edge: 90% matches: 10% angles
