crayon
Don't really want to stick this in suggestions or bugs since it's only ever happened once, but I wondered if anyone else has seen similar news stories pop up, where a worker is hired on one day, and the next day you see that they're letting them go? jesterx7769
I have. I find it only happens in the game when I mess with the owners of the other companies. Have you done any editing in yours?
crayon
I have. I find it only happens in the game when I mess with the owners of the other companies. Have you done any editing in yours? Well, my mod is in continual edit mode... But, I haven't done any in-game editing if that's what you mean. It was in the first month of simming though, if that makes a difference.
FlameSnoopy
I have, and I did not edit the owner / database then. It happened with EXODUS, as they were signing guys, then the next day "they have been released because of a bloated roster" and then they kept signing dudes.. So.. It's bloated, you kick some dudes out, but then continue hiring more?
hellshock70
Developmental If a company has a developmental league and sends down a certain amount of talent the farm league will release about the same number of workers from their regular roster. I created a developmental league and sent almost 20 people down before they even had an owner and when a new owner came in he just hired up to his limit and never released anyone till their contract came up. This allowed the company to concentrate on my talent and I saw better results since my guys were enhancement all the way up to midcard or upper midcard. Jacob Jett, for one, improved better at upper midcard then if he would have had he went down with just a handful of other guys and been an opener or lower midcard. Side Note: brought in a Japanese wrestler who was considered an International superstar but the game decided he was an opener because his U.S. popularity rating wasn't even 5%
praguepride
Here's a thought. Company sends out more work offers then normal because of predatory hiring. I don't think the AI cancels negotiations so it hires too many people and then cuts them right away. To put numbers: Promotion needs 10 workers. They send out 15 contract offers. All 15 are willing to negotiate so AI hires 15 people. AI then realizes roster is too big and cuts 5 of them the next day. Perhaps a bug with predatory hiring if the same people are being hired and fired the next day. For example, Worker A is considered a big star but actually isn't that useful to a promotion. Predatory hiring kicks in and they hire Worker A. Their roster is then bloated so AI decides to cut Worker A. Then they decide to hire Worker A because he's a big star (etc. etc.) Altough I think that might be why there's a 6 month cooldown for when you let a worker go. shadowmaster
I ran into this quite a bit in 08 and 10. It seems to happen most when companies were having financial problems. They would hire a few people during the last few days of the month and then can them on day 1 or 2 of the new month cuz they were poor
