It's night three of the Best of the Super Juniors Cup as the Burn Don't Freeze Tour continues in the Kagawa Sports Field, Shikoku on Wednesday 9th June.

Block A see's the rare opportunity of seeing the Junior Tag Team Champions, the Black Heart Flying Squadron compete against one another, will Golden Scorpion continue to build on a solid start in the tournament at the expense of his longtime regular tag team partner or will The Awesome Kiyaru bounce back from his defeat to John Pathlow.

Meanwhile in Block A John Pathlow will be looking to make it three wins out of three against VENOM, who will be equally keen to bounce back from his opening match loss against Barei Yasujiro, and Yasujiro will be looking to build on that victory but faces the daunting task of taking on the defending cup holder Sensational Dragon who will be fired up to get his first win, coming back to the tournament after his 'bye round' following on from the opening night time limit draw with Golden Scorpion.

In Block B, Black Cobra leads the way after two victories and the 2007 cup winner will be keen to avoid an upset against Haru Kurofuji, with the Universal Excellence man determined not to open his BOSJ Cup campaign with two defeats. Marihito Masuko returns to the competion after a bye round and he will be looking to build upon his opening night victory when he takes on Burning Sekigun Kansuke Konda but the Size of the Fight man will be equally determined to build on his victory in the last round, after bouncing back from his opening night loss. The final match in Block B see's a potentially pivotal match for Elemental III and American Optimus with both having begun the campaign with a victory and a defeat....the winner will build some momentum for a push towards the semi finals, whilst the loser will see their campaign somewhat de-railed.

In non cup action Tadiyuki Kikkawa is set to make yet another open challenge for his King of Fighters Championship, after dispatching with the challenges of Kansuke Konda and Sessue Kawate, will the Team INSPIRE get the tougher challenge he has been arrogantly asking for?

'Pre-Show' mainstays Masutaro Kataoka, Roku Sotomura and Stone Yoshikawa will get a chance to showcase themselves in Six Man action on the main show but face the unenviable task of taking on the Team INSPIRE trio of Tasuku Iesada, Masaaki Okazaki and 'unofficial member' Chuichi Sanda.

Rounding out the main show Takayuki Onodera teams with Burning Sekigun stable mate Hyosuke Kokan to take on Mike Watson and Yoshii Shiomi.

The pre-show see's a 4-way Junior Division scramble featuring Super Joshuya, The Incredible Koyama, Red Panther and White Samurai, whilst the RAGE duo of Mitsunari Fuganaga and Toshiki Shibanumo take on Fukusabaru Inao and Tiger Fuyuki.

Here is a full run-down of the card for Show #32 of the Burn, Don't Freeze Tour-

BOSJ Cup Block A: Golden Scorpion vs The Awesome Kiyaru

I'm 50-50 on this one. If the rest go like I predict (Pathlow and Dragon winning), I could see Pathlow starting to run away with Block A. Still, this feels like a more likely outcome.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

Dragon needs a win more th an Yasujiro.

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

Can't see Pathlow dropping one yet.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

Konda might do well, but the tournament is for workers like Masuko to really shine.

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

The Gaijin has done okay, but I don't see him knocking off Elemental here.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

I think you might surprise the crap out of us with one of these ??? challengers yet, but I'm not betting against Kikkawa at this point.

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

BOSJ Cup Block A: Golden Scorpion vs The Awesome Kiyaru

Tough call but I say Scorpion

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

The Sensational Era continues

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

Pathlow seems to be on a roll

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

In Masuko's voice: Though the big fight is one of admiration and inspiration, this fight I will endure will be the one that will lead me to shrine of victory.

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

Elemental III should get the ball rolling with this match.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

Two words: ALABASTER AGONY!!!!

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

Why do I have the feeling that it's not going to be Horri, Watson, Hamacho, Nakasawa, or Toshusai going against Kikkawa

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

Iesada win.

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

Onodera win.

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

Joshuya should EASILY win this match

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

Can someone say...Squash...and besides Fuganaga needs a gimmick, more on the lines of a psycho or serious MMA Bad A**

BOSJ Cup Block A: Golden Scorpion vs The Awesome Kiyaru

I would like to go with Scorpion but i think that Kiyaru´s past experience in this tournament is enough to warrant a win here.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

No way Dragon would drop this one after suprisingly bad start

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

VENOM pretty much lost his best change to win a match in this tournament when he lost to Yasujiro. I don´t see him going over Pathlow (or anyone else in his block)

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

I expect Masuko to get at least in semi-finals so he isn´t dropping this one.

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

I assume that Elemental III is more over and thus he picks up the win.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

I pretty much pick Kurofuji to lose by default in this tournament and this one isn´t any different.

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

I still believe that one of these mystery opponents steal Kikkawa´s belt at one point but it isn´t happening yet.

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

Squash

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

Watson continues to job since he is clearly leaving once he´s contract is up.

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

Joshuya is the only one in tournament so he picks up the win by default.

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

RAGE duo picks up the win here in order to make them look at least little bit better

BOSJ Cup Block A: Golden Scorpion vs The Awesome Kiyaru

Kiyaru is the no 3 man in Block A - so needs to be kept in with a chance of qualifying - and only a win here will do

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

After one shock draw for Dragon, he will put Mighty Mouse away in double quick time here

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

Two easy wins

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

E3 is higher up right now, but AO puts up a good showing

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

Two more easy wins

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

One more easy win, plus the Watson job tour continues!

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

Gives the vet a token win

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

No one cares

BOSJ Cup Block A: Golden Scorpion vs The Awesome Kiyaru

- Awww man. I can't pick. Two of the most awesomest masks in the C-Verse.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

- The Dragon gets on track over the ex-WLW and primarily tag team wrestler.

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

- Pathlow's Path of Rage continues unabated.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

- Two more of my favs. I'm going to give Konda the upset just because... he's a Big Fight STUNNER~!

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

- Optimus Original shall be disappointed.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

- Bad night for Universal Excellence.

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

- The Bookerman finds way to keep Kikkawa as happy as the curmudgeon gets. Also this is building somewhere, come the PPV or the show before I could see an upset but not here, not this early.

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

- And Sanda... still doesn't get the pin. INSPIRATIONAL Hazing Ritual continues.

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

- Half-ass it into being pinned by Kokan Watson you selfish slacking suckhole.

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

- Joshuya shows he's still got it... we just don't know what it is.

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

- I dub this team. Fuga'mo!

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs Sensational Dragon

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs VENOM

The first match there is interesting - I've always preferred Kiyaru so I'll stick with him. The other 2 should go the way of the bigger names.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Kansuke Konda vs Marihito Masuko

BOSJ cup Block B: American Optimus vs Elemental III

BOSJ Cup Block B: Black Cobra vs Haru Kurofuji

Again, not going with any upsets here, although I'd quite like it if Optimus beat Elemental.

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs ???

Kikkawa won't be upset on a show like this but I'm certainly interested in where this may eventually head.

Iesada, Okazaki & Sanda vs Kataoka, Sotomura & Yoshikawa

Kokan & Onodera vs Shiomi & Watson

Panther vs Joshuya vs Koyama vs Samurai

He's the only guy in the Super Junior tourney after all.

Fuganaga & Shibanumo vs Inao & Fuyuki

Burn, Don't Freeze Tour - Show 32

-Best of the Super Juniors XI:The Warriors Beyond

Night Three

(Wednesday June 9th 2010)

Kagawa Sports Field, Shikoku

(Attendance 2,000 Super No Vacancy)

Commentators for this show: Toru Minamoto, Mitsuhide Muro & Katsuhiko Shunsen

Pre-Show

Match A: Red Panther vs Super Joshuya vs The Incredible Koyama vs White Samurai

For a pre-show four way this turns out to be pretty good, as they get good time to showcase their skills, with White Samurai even looking competitve, going close to picking up the upset win after nailing Super Joshuya with the Katana Slice (Springboard Lariat) but Samurai doesn't factor into the finish which appeared to come down to Red Panther and The Incredible Koyama, with Panther nailing Koyama with the Red Mist (Dropsault/Super Kick combo). But Panther's celebration's were short lived, as a Super Joshuya took the victory out of Panther's hands after planting the gaijin masked man with a J-Drop (Flip Over DDT).

Result: Super Joshuya [w] bt Red Panther [L] + The Incredible Koyama + White Samurai) in 8:10 via pinfall (J-Drop)

Rating: C

Match B: Mitsunari Fuganaga & Toshiki Shibanumo vs

Fukusabaru Inao & Tiger Fuyuki

The Ramen stands and the merchandise stalls were doing a roaring trade whilst this match was on. It wasn't particularly bad...all four men in the ring are competent competitors but no one cared and it was just a chance for a couple of lower end midcarders in the form of RAGE members Fuganaga and Shibanumo to pick up a rare win over a couple of resident 'jobbers' in Inao and Fuyuki, with most of the crowd barely noticing that Fuganaga picked up the win with a Who's Laughing Now (Double Underhook Facebuster) on Tiger Fuyuki in around five and a half minutes.

Result: Mitsunari Fuganaga [w] & Toshiki Shibanumo vs Fukusabaru Inao & Tiger Fuyuki [L] via pinfall in 5:29 via pinfall.

Rating: D+

Main Show

Match #1: BOSJ Cup (Block B):

American Optimus (2Pts) vs Elemental III (2Pts)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BlackEagle_alt5.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalIII.jpg

This is a potentially pivotal match here, with both having started their BOSJ Cup Campaigns off with a win and a loss.

The match begins in typical cagey fashion, engaging in some chain wrestling that ends in a series of stand-offs. The pace begins to pick up when Elemental III rocks American Optimus with a spin kick but 'gaijin legacy' shakes it off and fires right back with a palm strike that winds Elemental III enough for American Optimus to drill the 2008 cup winner with a Brainbuster.

That gets a two count and Optimus tries to keep the pressure on lifting Elemental III up for a German Suplex but the 'Third Generation Icon' manages to put the brakes on that and then forces a standing switch to then try for the Elemental Suplex but American Optimus manages to block that and then slips out to stun Elemental III with another palm strike.

That winds Elemental III enough for Optimus to try for the O-Bomb but the 'Third Generation Icon' manages to counter into a hurrucanrana in mid-move !!!

After Optimus kicked out of the pin off the rana, Elemental III continued to seize back control connecting with the Tri-Fecta Kick Series before planting American Optimus to the canvas with an ELEMENTAL SUPLEX......

One......

Two.....

Thr....

Optimus managed to kick out but remained flat on his back and Elemental III decided to head up top but as he set up for the Inferno Splash, American Optimus rose back to his feet and stunned the 2008 Cup winner with a leaping palm strike. The Dragon Feet 2K9 man then climbed the turnbuckles himself, before bringing Elemental III back into the ring the hard way with a SUPER O-BOMB !

One.....

Two.....

Thr......

Elemental III managed to get his feet on the rope bottom rope just in time. American Optimus then paced around for a bit in frustration, before dragging Elemental III away from the ropes to then lock on the OPTIMIZER (Dragon Sleeper Surfboard)......

But Optimus had took too long in deciding what to follow up with next and the 'Third Generation Icon' suddenly found a second wind fighting out of the submission hold, before connecting with a leg lariat that sent Optimus out of the ring. Elemental III then soared over the top-rope with his trademark Elemental Space Flying Drop but American Optimus managed to move out of the way and despite Elemental III being able to land on his feet, 'gaijin legacy' stunned the Burning Sekigun man with a palm strike before following up with a Brainbuster out on the floor.

Optimus then rolled into the ring to wait for the countout victory but the 'Third Generation Icon' managed to pick himself up off the floor and stagger back into the ring, American Optimus then went for another palm strike but this time Elemental III managed to block and then returned fire with a gamengiri, which was able to stun 'gaijin legacy' enough for Elemental III to plant the Dragon Feet 2K9 man into the mat with an EARTH BREAKER (Double Underhook Powerbomb).......

One.....

Two....

Thr......

Optimus managed to barely kick out, but he remained planted to the canvas and Elemental III decided to head up top........

INFERNO SPLASH (Corkscrew 450 Splash)......

Elemental III landed his spectacular signature aerial finishing move perfectly......

One......

Two.....

Three !!

The 'Third Generation Icon's' Best of the Super Juniors campaign was back on track, whilst American Optimus now has some work to do if he is going to progress in the competition.

Result: Elemental III [w] bt American Optimus [L] in 12:29 via pinfall (Inferno Splash)

Rating: B-

Onodera's Assessment: Good solid opener, whilst they were never going to steal the show they did do a good job of getting the crowd nicely warmed up for the rest of the show.

Post Match Comments:

Elemental III: This match I just had with American Optimus, not only was it to gain points it was also about being able to live up to your legacy, my legacy is stronger and that spurred me onto victory and it will continue to spur me on until I lift the Best of the Super Juniors Cup for a second time.

American Optimus (in English): I was not chosen to where the mask of a legend by failing, but failing is what I am doing. However that legend would never have given in to failure, he believes in me and I must believe in myself. I am now up against it but I will rise to the challenge.

Match #2: BOSJ Cup (Block B):

Kansuke Konda (2 Pts) vs Marihito Masuko (2 Pts)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KansukeKonda-1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MarihitoMasuko-1.jpg

Masuko is returning to BOSJ Cup action after his bye week, to take on Burning Sekigun stable mate Kansuke Konda, both have a win each but Konda has already tasted defeat.

Konda takes Masuko by surprise with an aggressive start, signalling with full intent that he is going to be putting alliances aside in order to give him an edge in going for the victory. Masuko doesn't take it personally and fires back, but the brawling exchanges in the early going definitely play more into Konda's hands.

However when Konda went to level Masuko with a lariat the 'Painted Wonder' was able to duck and then nail the Size of the Fight man with a Leg Lariat. Konda managed to stay on his feet but stumbled right into a headscissors before Masuko continued to pick up rhythm with a flurry of arm-drags leading to a disorientated Konda stumbling out of the ring. Masuko then hopped up the turbuckle before wiping out Konda with a spectacular moonsault press to the floor.

Masuko then pitched Konda back into the ring, and after trying for a quick cover decided to head for the turnbuckles once again but Konda rose back to his feet, to cut Masuko off and try for a belly to back superplex but Masuko sent Konda crashing back to the canvas with a series of back elbows before flying off the top-rope with a moonsault.......

Konda almost moved out of the way but Masuko still connected and he tried for the cover.....

Konda kicked out but Masuko remained in control and he set up for the MASUKO CRADLE (Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex) but Konda was able to fight out and then level Masuko with a Lariat. The 'Painted Wonder' then staggered back up to his feet only to be levelled with another Lariat and then tossed across the ring with a release belly to belly suplex.

But before Konda could follow up with a cover, Masuko managed to roll out of the ring to regroup but that did not stop the Big Fight Player' soaring through the ropes with his trademark Tope Con Hilo, the momentum sending Masuko crashing against the barricades.

Konda then pitched Masuko back into the ring and then waited for Masuko to get up before connecting with another Lariat...that lead to a two count and the Big Fight Player headed up top, as Masuko remained rooted to the mat......

Konda then came crashing down upon Masuko with the KONDA SPLASH (Frog Splash)......

Masuko kicked out and Konda was visibily frustrated by that as he pleaded with referee Koetsu Shinozaki that should have been a three count. Konda then got his focus back and lifted Masuko back up to his feet and appeared to be setting up for a Konda Driver, but Konda's frustration borne protesting came back to hurt him as Masuko slipped out and then planted the Big Fight Player into the canvas with a MASUKO CRADLE........

Konda kicked out but Masuko remained in control, with the Painted Wonder attempting to finish the Size of the Fight man off with a MASUKO CRADLE SHOCK (Swinging Leg Hook Fireman's Carry Slam) but Konda had the move scouted and managed to fight his way out before countering into KONDA DRIVER (Fisherman Driver).......

Konda's cover was too weak as he failed to hook the leg but the Big Fight Player looked to had seized back the momentum, whipping Masuko into the ring-ropes to set up for the K-THUNDER DRIVER (Spinning Sitout Powerbomb) but Masuko managed to seize the momentum for himself snapping off a spinning headscissors before Konda could plant him into the canvas.....

Konda then staggered back to his feet right into a.........

Marihito Masuko continues to make a good start to the tournament but with only one win in three, Konda is now up against it to make it into the next round.

Result: Marihito Masuko [w] bt Kansuke Konda [L] in 12:11 via pinfall (Masuko Cradle Shock)

Rating: B-

Onodera's Assessment: These two delivered what I would have expected from them, a good solid match up but not one that was going to steal the show.

Post Match Comments:

Marihito Masuko: The one who plays for the Big Fight tested my will with his honest strength and admirable courage but his test I overcame and the path towards the summit opens clearer, though the obstacles faced before me shall continue to take me to new limits in search of the shining beacon of victory.

Kansuke Konda: You know it doesn't make it any less hard to take, just because I went out there and lost to someone I respect, because when I go out there to compete, I go out there to win but as hard as it is to take I have to hold my hands up and admit that I lost to the better man out there on this occasion but I'm not giving up, this fight I have on my hands to advance may be a tough one but it's one I am willing to fight all the way.

Match #3: BOSJ Cup (Block A):

John Pathlow (4 Pts) vs VENOM (0 Pts)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HellMonkey_alt2.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Venom-1.jpg

John Pathlow has started the tournament strong with two victories including one over perennial cup challenger The Awesome Kiyaru, whilst VENOM is looking to bounce back from an opening defeat, could Pathlow continue to steamroll throught the competition or could VENOM provide a major upset?

Pathlow trys to push the pace with his usually aggressive start but instead of wilting under the pressure of the INSPIRE man's lethal kicks, VENOM soaks it up and fires back with as good as he has been given, which takes Pathlow by surprise, forcing the INSPIRE man to try ans change things up a bit. Pathlow tries to get a waistlock for a German Suplex but VENOM manages to block that and gets a single leg takedown on Pathlow and he immediately tries to transition that into the STING IN THE TAIL (Cross Kneelock) but Pathlow had that scouted and manages to kick VENOM off, but the former Junior Tag Champion strikes back instantly with a V-STINGER (Shining Wizard Enziguri)

One.....

Two.....

Pathlow kicks out emphatically but VENOM remains in control and lifts Pathlow up for aNINFECTIOUS SPIKE (Spike DDT) but Pathlow manages to block that and counters with a snap DDT.

Pathlow then unloads a flurry of kicks on VENOM before placing a waistlock on the RAGE man to deliver a German Suplex into a Bridging Pin.....

That gets a two count , and Pathlow looks for the KILL DRILL, double underhooking VENOM's arms but VENOM blocks the attempt and then counters with an STO, planting the INSPIRE man firmly into the mat.

VENOM then lifts Pathlow up and this time does drill 'Rapid Fire' firmly into the canvas with the INFECTIOUS SPIKE.........

One.......

Two......

Thr......

Pathlow shows just how tough he is and how determined he is to make it three wins out of three.

After weighing up what to do next, VENOM then heads up top and waits for Pathlow to stagger back up to his feet, before leaping off to deliver the LETHAL DOSAGE (Tornado DDT) ........

Pathlow somehow get straight back up to his feet and then levels VENOM with an APOCALYPSE LARIAT (Rebound Pendulum Lariat) before collapsing to the mat, unable to scramble across to VENOM and make the cover......

Referee Omura Umeki then makes a double count on both men as they both lie on the mat, seemingly unable to move.....

SEVEN

EIGHT

NINE....

VENOM is still out but Pathlow begins to stir once again.....

But it's too late, Pathlow is unable to return to his feet in time and the match frustratingly ends as a double countout draw for both men. VENOM will probably take a bit more heart from the draw, but it doesn't really kick his campaign and it is a result that also throws a bit of a spanner in the works for the previously 'unstoppable' John Pathlow.

Result: John Pathlow drew with VENOM in 12:14 (Double Knock Out)

Rating: B-

Onodera's Assessment: Every year the Best of the Super Juniors will throw up a few surprise results to keep things from being 'predictable', but you always have to be careful not to pull off such surprises to the detriment of hurting the reputations of your star performers, which is why we booked the shock draw here, rather than putting VENOM over Pathlow completely.

Post Match Comments:

John Pathlow (in English): I'm pretty pissed right now, I was damn well getting up....I was robbed of a point, I feel screwed right now...I feel totally screwed.

VENOM: Pathlow was there for the taking, I should have been smarter in the way I tried to finish him off and I paid the price for my errors but somehow I managed to come away with a point and though I'm a little disappointed, I shall take heart from this and push on.

Match #4: Takayuki Onodera & Hyosuke Kokan vs

Mike Watson & Yoshii Shiomi

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MikeWatson.jpg & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_YoshiiShiomi-1.jpg

This was pure card filler, because Burning Sekigun and RAGE haven't really been feuding much on this tour at all. What ensured was a pretty even contest with some spots of decent wrestling, especially some good chain wrestling exchanges between Kokan and Shiomi but there was no emotional investment for the crowd to hook onto.

The finish saw Mike Watson go for the One Stop Punch on Takayuki Onodera only for Onodera to duck and the floor Watson with an END OF YOU (Rolling Elbow to the Back of the Head). Onodera then turned things over to Hyosuke Kokan who climbed to the top and came crashing down upon the Calgary Assassin with a FORESHOCK (Flipping Senton Bomb) to secure the victory as Onodera prevented Shiomi from making the save.

Result: Takayuki Onodera & Hyosuke Kokan [w] bt Mike Watson [L] & Yoshii Shiomi in 10:44 via pinfall (Foreshock)

Rating: C

Onodera's Assessment: Mike Watson really is just 'phoning it in' now he can see that the writing is on the wall for his BHOTWG career and it can't exactly be motivating to be jobbing every night. Even in doing 'the job' he's not really helping to put anyone over he steps into the ring with, so with that in mind this probably will be his last match inside a BHOTWG ring.

Match #5: Chuichi Sanda, Masaaki Okazaki & Tasuku Iesada vs Masutaro Kataoka, Roku Sotomura & Stone Yoshikawa

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/ChuichiSanda-1.jpg?t=1268428734http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MasaakiOkazaki.jpghttp://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TasukuIesada.jpg

Instantly there is a feeling in the air that this match will be a foregone conclusion and it's a feeling that Team INSPIRE arrogantly buy into straight away but that arrogance almost costs them as the fired up trio looking to prove themselves worthy of more 'main show' exposure control much of the match, almost leading to them pulling off a shock victory on several occasions most notably with a Best Backslide In The World Ever on Chuichi Sanda from Roku Sotomura and a Superman Elbow from Stone Yoshikawa upon Masaaki Okazaki.

But those near misses for the 'job squad' spark the Team INSPIRE trio into life and when they do step up a few gears their opponents can't keep up with them and in the end Yoshikawa falls victim to an OKAZAKI EXPLOSION (Wrist Clutch Exploder Suplex).

Result: Chuichi Sanda, Masaaki Okazaki [w] & Tasuku Iesada vs Masutaro Kataoka, Roku Sotomura & Stone Yoshikawa [L] in 8:57 via pinfall (Okazaki Explosion)

Rating: C+

Onodera's Assessment: For blatant filler, this turned out to be not a too bad match in the end, the INSPIRE guys brought some name value and the 'pre-show crew' were motivated in being able to showcase themselves on the main show.

Tadiyuki Kikkawa arrogantly struts down to the ring and after picking up a microphone, the fans instantly know what is coming up next...it's the open challenge for Kikkawa's King of Fighters Championship.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadiyukiKikkawa.jpg

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: I started this open challenge, because I was finding the competition too easy, but all I've had step up so far is a never will be and a has been. It's like no one else has got the guts to face me, and you know why that is....because they know that everytime they step into the ring with me I WILL not only beat them, I will humiliate them with my superiority......Losers like Konda and Kawate stepped up because they have nothing to lose.

So come on lets get done with this thing, bring out the next lo.......

Kikkawa however is cut off mid sentance by Eiji Hamacho!

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_EijiHamacho-1.jpg

Eiji Hamacho: It's been a while since I've done anything significant but I'm going to that right now.

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Just as I suspected another loser with nothing to lose in facing me.

Eiji Hamacho: You know what Kikkawa, as smug as your assessment of my situation is ...I DO have nothing to lose. I said after I tasted defeat yet again to your newest chronie Sanda....

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Believe you me the feeling between me and Sanda-san is all one way.

Eiji Hamacho: Oh well who the hell care's if that glory-stealer wants to lick your boots or not, because I want to knock you out of your boots....

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Oh is that so, I'd love to see you try....so many have and so many have failed.

Eiji Hamacho: I said I would do something to prove to everyone that I am stronger than Sanda-san and I'll do just that by knocking you off your perch of arrogance Kikkawa-san.

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: As I said Hamacho-san, so many have tried and so many have failed....you will be no different.

Eiji Hamacho: Kikkawa-san I have NOTHING to lose, you have EVERYTHING to lose!

Match #6: King of Fighters Championship:

Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Eiji Hamacho

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_INSPIRE.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadiyukiKikkawa.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/EijiHamacho-1.jpg?t=1268428711

Even though Hamacho is still seen as a major underdog in this match, this instantly seems to feel like a step up from the first two challenges with Konda and Kawate, with the fans buying into the fact that Hamacho can at least go toe to toe with Kikkawa.

As soon as the bell rings they lay into one another, not holding back anything and neither man showing an inch of weakness...this is all out war and the highly intense brawl soon spills out to the floor and into the crowd.

Kikkawa somewhat frustrated that he has been unable to assert his authortity on the match, resorts to thumbing the eye of Hamacho and then attempts to scoop Hamacho up for a bodyslam on a row of chairs (vacated by fans who want to be close to the action, but not that close) but the Raging Bull Blocks and then counters into a Samoan Drop !

Knowing that he needs to bring Kikkawa back into the ring, Hamacho then drags the King of Fighters back up to his feet but Kikkawa crotches the former three time Tag Team Champion with a steel chair that puts the INSPIRE leader back in control.

Referee Omura Umeki continues to let the action go on outside of the ring, as there is no floor count in KOF matches but they do bring the action back to ringside and Kikkawa goes to whip Hamacho into the guard-rail but that gets reversed and the King of Fighters is sent crashing back first against the cold steel. Hamacho then charges in with a BULL RUSH (Spear) but Kikkawa moves out of the way at the last split second, and Hamacho goes crashing head first into the barricade.

When a relieved Kikkawa lifts Hamacho away from the barricade, the Raging Bull has been busted open, bleeding profusely with a nasty gash to the forehead. Kikkawa then pitches Hamacho into the ring and then waits for referee Omura Umeki to make the ten count.......

Seven.......

Eight......

Nine.........

To Kikkawa's instant frustration Hamacho is back up to his feet, but the King of Fighters doesn't give the Raging Bull anytime to recover, levelling Hamacho with a KIKKAWA LARIAT.

Umeki once again applies the ten count.......

Seven.......

Eight.......

Somehow, someway and very much to the frustration of Kikkawa, Hamacho despite bleeding like a stuck pig and on the receiving end of a Kikkawa Lariat is back up to his feet.

Kikkawa then signals that he is finally going to finish this and draws Hamacho in to deliver a BURNING LARIAT but Hamaco blocks and then scoops Kikkawa up upon his shoulders to deliver a HAMACHO SLEDGE (Death Valley Driver).......

Hamacho then collapses to the mat and it becomes a race to see who can beat the double ten count first.......

Seven......

Eight......

Kikkawa is still up first, showing just how much even that one burst of energy took out of Hamacho.......

But the Raging Bull does get up, to keep his hopes of winning the King of Fighters championship alive. They then both wearily engaged in a brawling exchange, but despite the blood loss Hamacho seems to be picking up more rhythm, it is though he had suddenly become fired up by the sight of his own blood trickling down his face.

Kikkawa desperately goes for an eye rake but the Raging Bull just shakes it off and literally pounds Kikkawa's face with a rapid flurry of fore-arm smashes, before rebounding off the ropes to level Kikkawa with a Lariat.......Kikkawa staggers back up to his feet and Hamacho levels Kikkawa with another Lariat.

Referee Omura Umeki applies the ten count once again......

Kikkawa is back up to his feet but is instantly knocked out of his boots with BULL RUSH (High Impact Spear)......

Kikkawa is barely back to his feet just in time, Hamacho came as close as anyone to dethroning the King of Fighters. Undeterred however he whips the dazed Kikkawa into the turnbuckle and then follows in with a clothesline into the corner....before dragging both himself and Kikkawa up to the top turnbuckle......

Hamacho then appeared to be setting up for a AVALANCHE HAMACHO SLEDGE 2K (Northern Lights Bomb) but he suddenly becomes disorientated from the blood loss he has suffered in the match and loses his grip on Kikkawa.

Kikkawa still crashes to the mat, but Hamacho is now left slumped on the top turbuckle. Kikkawa manages to drag himself back up to his feet first and then climbs onto the second turbuckle, scooping what looks to be a near unconcious Hamacho across his shoulders.......

KIKKAWA DRIVER (Wrist Clutch Death Valley Driver) from the second rope !!!

Referee Umeki immediately applies the ten count as Kikkawa staggers back to his feet.....

Seven......

Eight.....

Kikkawa can't believe it and neither can the fans as Hamacho somehow finds yet another burst of fighting spirit to drag himself back up to his feet again. The Raging Bull then tries to fire back instantly with a flurry of fore-arms but despite his best efforts they are weak and have no effect on a Kikkawa, who shakes them off and levels Hamacho with a BURNING LARIAT !!

But instead of letting Omura Umeki apply another ten count, he cruelly lifts Hamacho back up to his feet again, to deliver another BURNING LARIAT !! (Katsuhiko Shunsen on commentary noting that such actions could come from Kikkawa feeling 'embarassed' by Hamacho's determination or just a fear of it)

This time Kikkawa does let Umeki apply the ten count......

Seven.....

Eight.....

This time Hamacho is done and Kikkawa stands over him, looking proud of his destruction of the Raging Bull as he receives the King of Fighters belt from Umeki. Hamacho is in such a bad way that he has to stretchered out of the ring by EMT's.

Result: Tadiyuki Kikkawa [w] bt Eiji Hamacho [L] in 20:28 via knockout (Burning Lariat)

Tadiyuki Kikkawa makes V10 defence of King of Fighters Championship.

Rating: B+

Onodera's Assessment: The King of Fighters rules matches have admittedly been a bit hit and miss but this was definitely one of the better ones and the fans seem to enjoy them more when they take on more a Last Man Standing vibe to them, rather than trying to be the faux MMA of INSPIRE. INSPIRE died because people either want puroresu or MMA. Hamacho goes 'out' with something of a bang, as we are going to keep him off the rest of the tour for him to really 'sell' his injuries and his blood loss in the match was genuinely way off the Kudo Scale, so he will need time to recover regardless.

Post Match Comments:

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Hamacho-san dared to be brave, well bravery when stepping into the ring with me is foolish, very foolish ! Anyone who tries to humiliate me, will pay the price and Hamacho-san paid a very heavy price!

Match #7: BOSJ Cup (Block B):

Black Cobra (4 Pts) vs Haru Kurofuji (0 Pts)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_DuaneStone_alt1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HaruKurofuji.jpg

Black Cobra has started the BOSJ Cup off strong, and with John Pathlow falling to a shock draw earlier in the show, he has the chance to become the only cup entrant to go three for three (though Masuko who is two for two will have that chance on the next show). Kurofuji is simply looking to get his campaign off the ground with what would be a huge upset.

Cobra looked supremely confident before the bell rang and then locked up with Kurofuji, happy to engage in some hold for hold mat wrestling but Cobra's confidence seemed a little misplaced as the Universal Excellence man more than held his own, in fact Cobra's confidence was bordering on arrogance and Kurofuji who seemed to be more determined in the exchanges became a step ahead to the point that he managed to take complete control by getting Cobra turned over for the KUROFUJ CRAB (Elevated Boston Crab).

Fortunately for Cobra he had not been worked over enough for the submission to be truly effective and he managed to scramble over to the ropes and force the rope break. Somewhat shaken Cobra then went out for a powder to try and regroup but a fired up Kurofuji was determined to keep the pressure up and climbed to the top turnbuckle.......

However Cobra stepped out of the way of Kurofuji's flying cross body, before delivering a knee lift into the gut of the Universal Excellence man, that then set up a DDT into the floor and Cobra pitched Kurofuji back into the ring.

After a pin attempt for two count, Cobra then headed up top but Kurofuji got back to his feet and attempted to bring Cobra crashing back into the ring with a superplex but 'Canadian Darkness' managed to shove Kurofuji off and then connect with a missile drop kick.

Cobra then looked to plant Kurofuji with the STONEPLEX but that was blocked and Kurofuji fired back with a series of fore-arms before planting the Black Heart Brethren man across his knee with a Gutbuster. Cobra then staggered into the corner before being nailed with a running drop-kick form Kurofuji and then planted with a TOHOKU THUNDER SUPLEX (Rolling Release Suplex)......

Kurofuji came ever so close to pulling off the upset and with Cobra remaining planted to the mat, headed up top to then come crashing down with a KAMIKAZE HEADBUTT (Long Range Diving Headbutt).....

But the Universal Excellence man crashed an burned as Cobra managed to move out of the way. 'Canadian Darkness' then snapped off a spinning headscissors and immediately transitioned into the ALABASTER AGONY (Leg Hook Spinning Headscissors Arm Bar)......

Cobra had the submission locked on right in the middle of the ring and Kurofuji saw no other choice but to tap out or risk getting his arm ripped out of it's socket, as the 2007 cup winner made it three wins out of three.

Result: Black Cobra [w] bt Haru Kurofuji [L] in 7:04 via submission (Alabaster Agony)

Rating: B-

Onodera's Assessment: Though this only got seven minutes and was seen as one of the more predictable matches, even when Kurofuji was on top the fans were expecting Cobra to turn things around, this was still a really good match, raised by the fact that they clearly had good chemistry with one another.

Post Match Comments:

Black Cobra (in English): Three wins, no losses...thus far no one has been able to compete with and no one is going to be able to compete with me, because I'm more focused, I'm more determined, I'm more desperate than ever before to become Junior Champion and the best of doing that is by winning the Best of the Super Juniors for a second time.

Haru Kurofuji: People will tell me, I should take pride in my performance and the fact that for a good spell of that match I looked like the former cup winner, not Cobra but fact is Cobra won and once again I'm heading for situation where I'll merely be fighting for pride. But I didn't enter this cup just to make up the numbers and in my next match, I will do everything I can to get the win and keep my hopes of advancing very much alive.

Match #8: BOSJ Cup (Block A):

Barei Yasujiro (2 Pts) vs Sensational Dragon (1 Pt)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BaireiYasujiro-1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SensationalDragon_jhd21.jpg

This is already looking like a pivotal match for defending cup holder Sensational Dragon despite this only being in his second match in the tournament but Barei Yasujiro will be keen to build on his second match win over VENOM.

This one begins in typical Junior Division fashion with lots of back and forth chain wrestling, lots of arm drags, headscissors, leg lariats, attempted flash pins and neither man really seizing the initiative ...for the first five minutes they just match each other completely and in doing so the frustration build for both, but in particular it builds more for Dragon who starts to change things up a bit and switch to more of a kicking and striking game plan......

It actually works for a while, taking the Mighty Mouse out of his free flowing rhythm as the Junior Champion puts together a rapid combination of kicks that puts Yasujior on the mat, before the Sensational One follows up with a Quebrada for a two count.

Dragon then lined up a superkick but Yasujiro managed to duck that and connect with a spinning heel kick , before snapping off a spinning headscissors that sent Dragon to the floor, Yasujiro then out onto the apron, looking to set up for the Arabian Press but Dragon recovered to sweep the legs out from under Yasujiro causing the 'Mighty Mouse' to crash hard on the apron.

Dragon then pitched Yasujiro back into the ring and unloaded another combination of kicks before planting the Universal Excellence man with a DRAGON SUPLEX.

Dragon then headed up towards the top turnbuckle, but Yasujiro rose back to his feet and connected with a springboard Enziguri to stun the defending cup holder. Dragon managed to kick out but remained rooted to the mat and Yasujiro headed up top........

The Universal Excellence man took to the air with the graceful MIGHTY MOUSE AIR ATTACK (Sky Twister Press) but Dragon managed to move out of the way.......

Somehow Yasujro managed to right himself from crashing and burning by adjusting mid air to land on his feet but he was immediately nailed with a superkick from Dragon who looked for the DRAGON SLICE....

Yasujiro managed to block the attempt and then connected with a spinning heel kick in the corner.....the Mighty Mouse then set Dragon into the wheelbarrow position but the Junior Champion managed to counter by rolling through with the momentum sending Yasujiro against the ring-ropes....the Sensational One then snapped off a dizzying headscissors take down before applying the DRAGON'S CROSS (Tiger Feint Crucifix Arm Bar)........

But Yasujiro managed to counter the submission hold by stumbling backwards against the turnbuckle, forcing Dragon to release the hold. Yasujiro then connected with a flurry of kicks to seize back the initiative, before trying to lift Dragon upon his shoulders to set up for a Yasujiro Suplex but the Sensational One quickly managed to slip off and nail the Universal Excellence man with a Superkick.....

Once again Dragon looked to plant Yasujiro into the canvas with the DRAGON SLICE (Shiranui)

And this time the Junior Champion was able to pull it off......

Sensational Dragon was up and running, recording his first win of the 2010 BOSJ Cup.

Result: Sensational Dragon [w] by Barei Yasujiro [L] in 16:15

Rating: B

Onodera's Assessment: These two put together a really enjoyable 'Lucharesu' style match. Barei Yasujiro for all his years in the business still couldn't sell a drunk a bottle of cheap Sake but he's such an exciting performer to watch perform that you can forgive him such things, however it does prevent any match he is in rising from the merely enjoyable to the totally engaging.

Post Match Comments:

Sensational Dragon: I keep hearing that this was some kind of pivotal match already for me.....nonsense, nonsense. Scorpion somehow lucked out with a time limit draw and last show, was 'bye' round a bye round I may add where I overcame that constant pain Marihito Masuko, his ally Takayuki Onodera and the reigning Super 10 Cup holder Tasuku Iesada.....

Yes all in the same match because I am THAT SENSATIONAL. So you see I was never going to be in trouble and so it proved tonight because as hard as he tried the so called Mighty Mouse just isn't me....he just isn't Senastional.

Barei Yasujiro: The Best of the Super Juniors is proving to be as tough as I though it ever would be and with only one win from my first three matches, I know I've got to pull out all the stops in my next match to keep my hopes of advancing alive. I know what the situation is, and it's a situation I intend to take care of.

Match #9: BOSJ Cup (Block A):

Golden Scorpion (3 Pts) vs The Awesome Kiyaru (2 Pts)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_GoldenScorpion-1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TheAwesomeKiyaru-1.jpg

The main event see's the Junior Tag Team Champions face off against one another. After Kiyaru's loss to John Pathlow, Golden Scorpion has made the stronger start of the pair.

The match begins with the usual chain wrestling start, the action is free flowing and you can instantly see they have 'chemistry' with working with each other but there is no intensity behind it and it's almost like they don't want to do much damage to one another, seeing how they are Tag Team partners.

However when both try to sneak flash pinfalls on each other, they begin to become irritated by that and it seems to click in that they are competing in the Best of the Super Juniors, and after nearly ten minutes of 'exhibition' wrestling the intensity finally rises and they begin to fire away on each other with some pretty hefty striking.

That seems to favour the slightly bigger Scorpion, who lights up Kiyaru with a flurry of knife edged chops before setting up for the Brainbuster but Kiyaru slips out and then plants his tag team partner into the mat with a Tilt-A-Whirl Russian Legsweep.....

That gets a two count and Kiyaru goes out onto the apron, looking set to pull out the Ethereal Killer but Scorpion gets back up to his feet and drop-kicks Kiyaru off the apron !

Scorpion then rolls out of the ring and unleases a flurry of kicks on Kiyaru, before bringing the 'Dark Enigma' up onto the apron.....Scorpion then looked to be setting up for the Brainbuster on the apron (it was clear now that he was motivated to do anything possible to beat Kiyaru and strengthen his chances of advancing in the cup) but Kiyaru managed to block that and spectacularly countered into a KIYARU EFFECT (Forward Somersault Stunner) off the apron !

Kiyaru then rolled back into the ring and waited for referee Yasuyuki Terakado to begin a twenty count on Scorpion, as the Gold and Black Attack attack laid on the floor.

Sixteen........

Seventeen.....

Eighteen.......

Scorpion managed to pick himself of the floor and rolled back into the ring but he was immediately levelled with a leg lariat. Kiyaru then instantly headed for the top turbuckle but before the 'Dark Enigma' could steady himself Scorpion was back up to his feet and was able to cut Kiyaru off.

The pair then exchanged strikes on the top turnbuckle to tryu and seize the advantage, Scorpion seemed to do just that and was looking to set Kiyaru up for the Aneurysm Brainbuster but the three time cup winner managed to prevent Scorpion from pulling it off just in time, shoving the 'Gold and Black Attack' down to the mat and then taking to the air with a SHOOTING STAR PRESS........

But Scorpion got the knees up and as they staggered back up to their feet, Scorpion connected with a boot into Kiyaru's mid-section before drilling the three cup winner into the mat with a BRAINBUSTER....

One......

Two.....

Thr.....

Kiyaru kicked out but remained rooted to the mat and Scorpion went out onto the apron, where he then launched himself back in with a slingshot to connect with the GOLDEN SHOT (Slingshot Leg Drop)......

One......

Two......

Thr.........

Kiyaru managed to kick out again, but Scorpion remained focused and reeled Kiyaru in for the SCORPION STINGER, but Kiyaru had the move well scouted countering into a back body-drop.......

Scorpion then tried to stun Kiyaru with a Rolling Wheel Kick but the 'Dark Enigma' managed to move out of the way, slide under the ring ropes and then connect with a springboard leg lariat......Scorpion staggered back up to his feet and was immediately planted into the mat with a Tilt-A-Whirl Russian Legsweep.

Kiyaru then headed for the top turnbuckle, but just as earlier Scorpion was doggidly back up to his feet and up the turbuckles himself to prevent Kiyaru from taking flight, but the three time cup winner once again managed to shove Scorpion down to the mat and as the 'Gold and Black Attack' got back to his feet again connected with a missile drop-kick.

Scorpion then staggered back up to his feet to be planted into the mat with a KIYARU EFFECT (Forward Somersault Stunner).

One.......

Two......

Thr.......

Scorpion managed to kick out at the last split second but remained firmly rooted to the mat and Kiyaru once again headed for the top turnbuckle and with Scorpion not rising back to his feet this time, the three time cup winner was able to pull off the MAGIC CLOUD (Imploding 450 splash).....

One......

Two......

Three !!

The Awesome Kiyaru had got his BOSJ cup campaign back on track but unfortunately at the expenses of his regular tag team partner Golden Scorpion. After the match the two embraced, showing that their bond as Tag Team partners was going to be as strong as ever.

Result: The Awesome Kiyaru [w] bt Golden Scorpion [L] in 21:38 via pinfall (Magic Cloud)

Rating: B

Onodera's Assessment: This had the potential to be a really top draw main event, as Scorpion and Kiyaru clearly have good chemistry together but it didn't quite get there. In reality they probably spent a little too much time on the slow build before the match sparked into life, once it did spark into life it was really good.

Post Match Comments:

Noticeably the Junior Tag Team Champions, meet the post match press together after the match, as a further show of strength for their Tag Team/Friendship.

The Awesome Kiyaru: The bond between Golden Scorpion and myself is a strong as it will ever be and we will continue to rule as Junior Tag Team Champions, but the Best of the Super Juniors Cup is something I am determined to regain and I tonight I HAD to beat my friend.

Golden Scorpion: I can echo what Kiyaru said, I can have no ill will towards my friend...we have been together too long to let one match between us break us apart...and it's not over yet for either of us, we are both still in the hunt to advance to the next round and perhaps we meet again in the finals.

_________________________________________________________

Overall: B+

Onodera's Viewpoint: I was convinced that with just a B rated main event, this would only pull of a B in the overall rating, but it appears to have been recognised as a consistently good show (the throwaway tag match I was involved in apart) throughout.

The Onodera Diaries:

We're done with Mike Watson here in Burning Hammer, though he's still got about twenty days left on his contract he is of no use to us anyone. He isn't going to sign a new contract and his performances in the ring have been one of a lazy and disinterested performer, the relationship is beyond repair and it's best to cut ties now than letting him fester like past it's sell by date Sushi.

Could I have had handled things a little better with Watson, perhaps so...In fact I know so but constrast his attitude in putting others over to Burning Hammer loyalist Eiji Hamacho.

Hamacho has come out of the worst end of his post Raging Bulls break up feud with Chuichi Sanda and has been on a hiding to nothing due to Sanda's association with trying to get into Team INSPIRE, but throughout this he has remained a good attitude and he can see that eventually there will be a payoff, and even though I admit I was never that high on Watson there was going to be a renewed focus for him after he was ousted from Team INSPIRE.

Kikkawa-san who I thought was close with Watson, hasn't actually said anything to me about the former MMA stars imminent departure. It appears as though he has accepted me as head booker and is willing to respect my authority. Though I am fully aware that he will be keen to lay into me, if the quality of the shows we are producing do begin to head south and though Kikkawa isn't actually my boss, he has such strong influence within the current hiearchy of Burning Hammer that having him undermine me as head booker would be severely damaging....I just have to keep producing the goods and make sure that he is continued to be booked strongly.

One interesting news story to emerge from the press this past week, is that we are planning to push Kanishoki to the moon. Now I'm not sure if Kanishoki has been self hyping himself to the press or if someone has picked up on a possible lead that is about half a year old, because there was a time that he former Sumo wrestler was getting a much stronger push. But our focus right now is on pushing guys who can actually deliver in the ring, not circus acts.

I do not mean to be so harsh on Kanishoki, as he is actually a good guy, and that attitude may keep him around beyond his current contract but what I meant by circus act...is that all he has going for him is his size and until he improves his wrestling skills and cardio we aren't going to be pushing him to the moon, like this ridiculous article was implying.

The Burning Hammer Move-set of the week:

Click on the links to check out the most feared moves in the arsenal of the Burning Junior Champion and defending Best of the Super Juniors Cup Holder

Sensational Dragon

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SensationalDragon_jhd21.jpg

Dragon Slice:

Technically a Backflip three quarter facelock falling DDT, this is the move that has brought the Sensational One most of his victories over the years. It's the sort of move that can be countered yet can also be pulled off at lighting speed pretty much from anywhere (both inside and outside of the ring) and is an highly effective finisher against opponents both big and small.

Dragon Suplex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQqAsJfQibc&feature=related

This Full Nelson Belly to Back Suplex is a popular suplex for many wrestlers and has become a solid part of Dragon's arsenal. Used primarily as a set up move, or a momentum changer it has been used as a finisher on occasion to see off weaker opponents.

Dragon's Cross: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPDOjvl2fUg&feature=fvw

Though Sensational Dragon is not noted for being a 'submission' wrestler, he does have this dizzying Arm Bar submission in his arsenal.

Dragon's Fire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP7CYuI7txE&feature=related

A spectacular Corkscrew 630 Senton, that seems to guarantee victory whenever Dragon is able to pull it off.....but those are on rare occasions given the moves hight risk nature.

Sensation Shock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZMdvP9H04k&feature=related

This Diving Front Flip hurricanrana pin much like the Dragon Slice is another effective finisher against opponents of all sizes being a great counter to the Power Bomb

The Best of the Super Juniors Cup reaches the half way mark, as the Burn Don't Freeze Tour continues at the Sapporo Sports Park in Hokkaido.

In Block A John Pathlow saw his 100 % record derailed by a double count out draw with VENOM, and he faces a tough test to get back on track when he goes up against Junior Champion and defending cup holder Sensational Dragon who will be keen to build on his Night 3 win over Barei Yasujiro.

Yasujiro's chances of progress somewhat hang in the balance and he will need to pull out all the stops to pull out a victory against perennial cup contender The Awesome Kiyaru, who's defeat of his fellow Junior Tag champion Golden Scorpion has put him right back into the forefront of contention.

Rounding out Block A both VENOM and Super Joshuya will be looking to move away from the basement of the table by securing their first victory of the tournament.

In Block B Kansuke Konda's and American Optimus chances of progress are looking slim, with both starting the tournament with one win and two losses, whoever loses their match can probably kiss their chances of progress goodbye.

The other two matches in Block B pit two workers who have made a strong start against those still looking for their first win in the tournament with Elemental III taking on Haru Kurofuji and Marihito Masuko (looking to join Black Cobra with a 100 % record) going up against Hyosuke Kokan.

In non cup action there will be a contenders Circle match between Tadakuni Toshusai and Miyamae, with the loser having to face a spot challenge.

Golden Scorpion goes one on one with Dragon Feet 2K9's Shimedzu during his bye round, can the Junior Tag Champion pull off the upset and get a momentum boosting victory under his belt to head back into cup action with?

Rounding out what looks to be a stacked show, there will be a Six Man Battle pitting Burning Sekigun's Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kinnojo Horri and Takayuki Onodera against the Black Heart Brethren's Yasuhiko Taira, Yasunobu Masuno and Black Cobra.

For those who can get to the Sapporo Sports Park early bonus action will see Snow Lizzard take on Fukusabaru Inao and Tiger Fuyuki, whilst RAGE's Toshiki Shibanumo & Yoshii Shiomi team up to take on Roku Sotomura & Stone Yoshikawa.

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs Sensational Dragon

A win by Dragon here makes the top of Block A tight, and possibly puts Kiyaru atop with a win. Could definitely see that happening, but I see wins by Pathlow and Kiyaru keeping things tight betwee them.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs The Awesome Kiyaru

It feels like a Yasujiro win here would be an upset, even if wouldn't necessarily be.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Super Joshuya vs VENOM

BOSJ Cup Block B: American Optimus vs Kansuke Konda

I could see this one going either way. I think AmO needs to get more out of this edition of the BOSJ than the tag team guy does.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Hyosuke Kokan vs Marihito Masuko

MASOOOOOOKKKK....OOOOOOOOO.....

BOSJ Cup Block B: Elemental III vs Haru Kurofuji

Can't really see Kurofuji grabbing his first win against EIII...

Contenders Circle: Miyamae vs Tadakuni Toshusai

Nakasawa, Horri & Onodera vs Cobra, Masuno & Taira

Golden Scorpion vs Shimedzu

Snow Lizzard vs Inao & Fuyuki

Right formatting for the preview post looks reasonable now....apologies to anyone who had to witness the mess earlier (I take pride in my presentation, even if I'm not exactly Marcel Fromage) and for the second show running on the pre-show I get screwed over :p

Though honestly when I previewed the post the first time it looked OK...I then clicked off thinking it had gone through alright and then I log back on to the nightmare I saw before me.

The problem seems to occur when I copy and paste stuff over to try and save bit of time, rather than typing it straight in.

Anyway things may be a little slower with this diary for a bit, as I'm juggling this with catching up with watching a load of Dragon Gate DVD's (mind you I can get alot of inspiration from that) :D

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs Sensational Dragon

SD proves his championship isnt a fluke by stifling Pathlow's momentum

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs The Awesome Kiyaru

Kiyaru is just that level above Yasujiro

BOSJ Cup Block A: Super Joshuya vs VENOM

veteran gets the win

BOSJ Cup Block B: American Optimus vs Kansuke Konda

While I could see Konda winning, AO needs to get to the tournament to justify the legacy.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Hyosuke Kokan vs Marihito Masuko

Masuko is one of the favorites, he isnt losing here

BOSJ Cup Block B: Elemental III vs Haru Kurofuji

This seems most likely for a draw or a shock upset

Contenders Circle: Miyamae vs Tadakuni Toshusai

Miyamae has had some credibe battles in the main event area

Nakasawa, Horri & Onodera vs Cobra, Masuno & Taira

Booker riding champions coattails

Golden Scorpion vs Shimedzu

Shimedzu is main event level

Snow Lizzard vs Inao & Fuyuki

token win

Shibanumo & Shiomi vs Sotomura & Yoshikawa

slightly higher on jobber ladder

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs Sensational Dragon

Both have a surprise draw so loss here will hurt either guy. It´s a close call but I go with Dragon mainly because I like to keep champs strong.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs The Awesome Kiyaru

Like I have said UE guys are pretty much default fall guys on my opinion as far as this tournament goes.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Super Joshuya vs VENOM

Joshuya needs to get a point or two somewhere and this match looks likely place for that.

BOSJ Cup Block B: American Optimus vs Kansuke Konda

Could go either way but like Dragonmack said Optimus has legacy that he needs to justify.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Hyosuke Kokan vs Marihito Masuko

Kokan is mainly a tag guy so I see no reason why he should go over Masuko.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Elemental III vs Haru Kurofuji

I don´t see Haru going over E3, not with E3 already having a loss in the tournament.

Contenders Circle: Miyamae vs Tadakuni Toshusai

This is a bit of a coin flip to me but I go against the majority here and pick Toshusai to win.

Nakasawa, Horri & Onodera vs Cobra, Masuno & Taira

Champ and Horri are the two biggest names here.

Golden Scorpion vs Shimedzu

Shimedzu is simply higher on ladders and loss to Scorpion would hurt him too much

Snow Lizzard vs Inao & Fuyuki

Named team over random pairing

Shibanumo & Shiomi vs Sotomura & Yoshikawa

RAGE duo gets another token win

BOSJ Cup Block A: John Pathlow vs Sensational Dragon

- Pathlow looks legitimate as he topples the reigning champ.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Barei Yasujiro vs The Awesome Kiyaru

- Coz he's Awesome! And I love his mask.

BOSJ Cup Block A: Super Joshuya vs VENOM

- Whatever it was that Johuya had, he loses it on the way to the ring. Also, I love Venom's mask.

BOSJ Cup Block B: American Optimus vs Kansuke Konda

- AO has a lot to prove as he is not living up to his namesake.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Hyosuke Kokan vs Marihito Masuko

- Welcome to the Pink World Order Kokan.

BOSJ Cup Block B: Elemental III vs Haru Kurofuji

- E3 is just way more over and charismatic than Kurofuji.

Contenders Circle: Miyamae vs Tadakuni Toshusai

- Uh, I can't quite recall who Toshusai is, but for some reason I'm giving him the nod.

Nakasawa, Horri & Onodera vs Cobra, Masuno & Taira

- I know it's Black Cobra and Magik on the other side, but I don't see them overcoming two of the top stars in the Hammer.

Golden Scorpion vs Shimedzu

- Scorpion is a bit out of his league here.

Snow Lizzard vs Inao & Fuyuki

- Dark match = a win for the Wintery Repptiles.

Shibanumo & Shiomi vs Sotomura & Yoshikawa

- I like Stone. Stone breaks Shiomi's scissors!
