Best of the Super Juniors Semi Finals and Finals:

The Awesome Kiyaru vs Elemental III

Black Cobra vs Golden Scorpion

While a Kiyaru vs Scorpion final is intriguing, Black Cobra has been too dominant in this tournament to be losing now, and I predict he is the overall winner.

World Championship: Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Sensational Dragon

Nakasawa isn't losing here, although SD will make it a good match.

King of Fighters: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Masaaki Okazaki

While Kikkawa needs to lose this belt to make a run at Nakasawa ( unless you plan to do a unity match) I just don't see him willing to lose to Okazaki.

No DQ match for World Tag Team Championship: Black Magic vs Wild Fire vs The Rebellion

While the Rebellion are the best actual team, and you have pushed Wild Fire hard, there really isn't anything else for the mullets to do than be tag champions right now.

Six Man Challenge: Tasuku Iesada, John Pathlow & Chuichi Sanda vs Kinnojo Horri, Marihito Masuko & ????

I'm betting that the mystery man is the Hamacho Man himself.

Junior Tag Contenders: Optimum Impact vs Size of the Fight

Optimus cheats to victory again

Loser of Fall Leaves BHOTWG: Universal Excellence vs The Behemoths

Your dislike for the Behemoths is well known

Thanks for the Predictions D-Mack, but I should have put up a note, not to make predictions yet, as I have not put up the full card preview. Got the press conference to do before that too :)

<span style="font-size:10px;">A Day prior to the Inferno of Purity supercard to take place at the Ishikawa Stadium in Chubu on Friday 26th June, BHOTWG held a press conference to promote the event at the Stadium's conference centre. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

In attendance were Burning Hammer president Tetsuzan Kaneko, World Champion Hiroaki Nakasawa, his challenger and Junior Champion Sensational Dragon, King of Fighters Tadiyuki Kikkawa, his challenger Masaaki Okazaki, the World Tag Team Champions Black Magic and their challengers The Rebellion and Wild Fire, plus the four semi finalists for the Best of the Super Juniors Cup Black Cobra, Golden Scorpion, The Awesome Kiyaru and Elemental III. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The first set of questions went to the teams competing for the Burning World Tag Team Championship in a three way No DQ match. The Tag Team champions Black Magic answered first, with Yasuhiko Taira saying that they would dominate both of their challengers and just confirm the fact that they are the best tag team in the world, Masuno then chipped in to say that the No DQ rules are their playground and that The Rebellion and Wild Fire would be left destroyed. Miyamae speaking for The Rebellion said that it was about time that the best tag team in Burning Hammer history has their hands on the Burning World Tag Team Championship once again.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Shimedzu then deflected some questions about The Rebellion's focus mainly being on singles success for himself and Miyamae this tour, by saying that himself and Miyamae will fight against the stereo type of individual success coming between a great Tag Team and saw no reason why they could not achieve both as a Tag Team and continue to pursue their goals in singles competition. Takayuki Onodera speaking for Wild Fire then said that he respected The Rebellion alot, but said it was 'our time', and it's been our time for months to dethrone Black Magic and that come Inferno of Purity they will be the one's to end Masuno and Taira's reign with the belts. Tadakuni Toshusai then shouted in his unmistakeable way that Wild Fire were number one and that Black Magic would be no more. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The next set of questions were put to World Champion and his challenger the Burning Junior Champion Sensational Dragon. Dragon was asked why he thinks he can beat Nakasawa, when he didn't make it through to the semi finals of the Best of the Super Juniors. Dragon said that even the most foolish of men could see he was screwed out of victory in his final BOSJ Cup match against Kiyaru, but that he instantly felt this was a sign that he should be setting his sights on even bigger goal at that the opportunity was there to do so. The Junior Champion pointed to recent pinfall victories against heavyweight competition such as Masaaki Okazaki and Takayuki Onodera that the could not just compete but best those bigger than him.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Nakasawa then chimed in saying those victories were impressive but neither Okazaki nor Onodera are anyway near being in his league and that Dragon had bitten off more than he can chew by challenging him for the World Championship. Dragon said then said to Nakasawa that he was a great champion but that he was Sensasational and that he would rewrite history by being the first Junior Heavyweight to win the World Championship. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The press conference then moved along to the King of Fighters Championship showdown between Team INSPIRE members Tadiyuki Kikkawa and Masaakl Okazaki, a match that would change the face of the INSPIRE faction depending on who won. The press immediately jumped on the fact that if Kikkawa retained, that Team INSPIRE would lose another member and wouldn't that make them weaker? Kikkawa said that all Okazaki has done in recent months is prove that he is weak and that this was his last chance to prove his strength and that should Okazaki beat him for this title then he would be humbled by such defeat but the self proclaimed King of Fighters then laughed off the very idea of someone as weak as Okazaki defeating him as being utterly ridiculous. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Okazaki said that he will 'humble' Kikkawa and bring Kikkawa's ego crashing down around him. He said that when he defeats Kikkawa and becomes the King of Fighters champion that he wouldn't kick Kikkawa out of INSPIRE and would get Kikkawa to be a team player and that with him as leader Team INSPIRE would be a real TEAM and not just one man's ego trip. Kikkawa responded to that, saying that the only reason Team INSPIRE were feared when they made their return of Burning Hammer was because of him and him only. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The final set of questions were put to the four men that would be competing for the Best of the Super Juniors Cup, a semi finals line up that includes all three Junior Division representatives from the Black Heart Brethren stable and the Burning Sekigun fan favourite Elemental III. Obviously the press immediately jumped on the fact that could the very fact that all three BHB members were left in the competion come between them. Three time cup winner The Awesome Kiyaru jumped in to answer the question saying that is what all of you would like to happen isn't it?...</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

But it's not going to, because afterwards Scorpion and himself would still be Junior Tag Team Champions and that Cobra would still have their support and respect. However Kiyaru said that come Inferno of Purity it would be every man for himself and that it was time the greatest competitor in Best of the Super Juniors history had his hands on the trophy once again. Golden Scorpion then chimed in to say that whilst that would be nice to see, even better would be him winning the trophy for the first time. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

The press pointed to Scorpion that he was the only one not to win the trophy previously out of the four left in the competition and wouldn't that put him at a disadvantage in terms of big match experience. The Gold and Black Attack responded by pointing out that previous accomplishments count for nothing and that it was all about the present, and that right now he believes he is the Best of the Super Juniors and that this would confirm his arrival as a singles force. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Black Cobra (actually responding in Japanese, instead of the usual English he does for most of his post match interviews) said that would be difficult for Scorpion to do, as he would have to get past him first. Cobra then simply said he was the strongest left in the competition as proven by his perfect record in the Block Stage and that though Kiyaru and Scorpion would always have his respect , that he would no hold back in doing all he can to win the cup at their expense. </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Elemental III was the last to answer the questions admitting that the odds appear to be stacked against him, but that the legacy of the mask that he wears was built on overcoming such challenges. He admitted that his victory in winning the Best of the Super Juniors as a debutatant in 2008 came by the fact that he was a surprise package and that victory this time round would prove even more that he is strong enough to carry the Elemental legacy and that such a victory will prove that he is able to handle the expectation placed upon him.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10px;">

Three time winner The Awesome Kiyaru topped Block A and will face the 2008 champion Elemental III. When the defending Best of the Super Juniors cup holder crashed out of the tournament after what he felt to be a tainted defeat to The Awesome Kiyaru, he immediately set his sights on a bigger goal...that being the title round Nakasawa's waist. With Dragon technically not eligible due to weight restrictions, BHOTWG president Tetsuzan Kaneko 'overturned' the rules in place to 'greenlight' Dragon's challenge.</p><p> </p><p> Looking back at the history books it is not the first time a Junior Division wrestler has challenged for the title, as Junior Division legends Optimus and Elemental II did both receive unsuccesful title shots but it is very rare that someone from the Junior Heavyweight class is afforded such an opportunity. Question is can Sensational Dragon do what those legends were unable to do, and become the first Junior Heavyweight wrestler to become World Champion?</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Nakasawa's Previous Defences:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V1 Defence:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Yasunobu Masuno (Inferno of Purity, Fri 26 June 2009; Nara Baseball Stadium, Kinki)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V2 Defence</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;">: Masaaki Okazaki (Quest of Heart, Fri 18 September 2009, Kagoshima Stadium, Kyushu)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V3 Defence</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;">: Eisaku Hoshino (Night of the Burning Hammer, Fri 22 October 2009, Kanagawa Stadium, Kanto)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V4 Defence:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Yasuhiko Taira (Everlasting Mission, Fri 20 November 2009, Ishikawa Stadium, Chubu)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V5 Defence:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Mike Watson (Resistance Tour, Wed 9th December 2009, Tochigi Sports Stadium, Kanto). </span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V6 Defence:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Tasuku Iesada (Fire Dream of the Immortals, Fri 19 March 2010, Kanagawa Stadium, Kanto)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V7 Defence:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Kinnojo Horri (Test of Prophecies, Fri April 23rd 2010, Sapporo Stadium, Hokkaido)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V8 Defence</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;">: Tasuku Iesada (Burn, Don't Freeze Tour, Mon May 3rd 2010, Yamanashi Athletic Stadium, Chubu)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V9 Defence</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;">: Shimedzu (Sword of Destiny, Fri May 21st 2010, Nara Baseball Stadium, Kinki)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>V10 Defence</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;">: Shimedzu (Burn Don't Freeze Tour, Wed June 2nd 2010, Akita Stadium, Tohoku)</span> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>____________________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>~ With or Without Control~</strong></p><p> <strong>King of Fighters Championship (30 Min Time Limit): </strong></p><p> <strong>Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Masaaki Okazaki</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadiyukiKikkawa.jpg</span> <strong>vs </strong><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MasaakiOkazaki.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Over the past month Tadiyuki Kikkawa has put his King of Fighters Championship on the line in a series of Open Challenge's, after he felt that Burning Hammer officials were not finding him worthy enough opponents. Having seen off challenges from the likes of Kansuke Konda, Eiji Hamacho and Takayuki Onodera, and if anyone were to ask the arrogant Team INSPIRE leader he would still feel that no one is worthy of challenging him for the belt , but that by putting it on the line in a series of Open Challenges shows that he is a fighting champion. </p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile despite Kikkawa's continued success, the rest of Team INSPIRE have begun to lose the aura they had when they first arrived in BHOTWG. Not least amongst those Masaaki Okazaki, whose failed attempt to win back a place in the World Championship Contenders Circle against Tadakuni Toshusai did not go un-noticed by Kikkawa. After Kikkawa told Okazaki to prove himself worthy of still being in Team INSPIRE, Okazaki stepped up to challenge Kikkawa for the King of Fighters belt, and that if were to beat Kikkawa then he should take over as leader of Team INSPIRE. Kikkawa responded however by telling Okazaki that should he lose, he should leave Team INSPIRE, as he would be too 'weak' to continue as a member. John Pathlow let slip a commanding position in the Best of the Super Juniors, whilst trial member Chuichi Sanda has failed to prove himself since his betrayal of Eiji Hamacho and subsequent defection from RAGE. Even Kikkawa's trusted right hand man Tasuku Iesada has apparently failed Kikkawa's expectations. </p><p> </p><p> With all three Team INSIRE members schedule's free, the Burning Sekigun pair of Kinnojo Horri and Marihito Masuko made a challenge after the last show for a Six Man Tag. The INSPIRE trio questioned the Sekigun pair how they could challenge if they did not appear to have a third man, but Horri revealed that theyd did and it was someone who at least one of the INSPIRE trio would be very familiar with. </p><p> </p><p> Who is the third man for the Burning Sekigun? and will they sink Team INSPIRE into further crisis or will Iesada, Sanda and Pathlow redeem themselves in the eyes of Tadiyuki Kikkawa?</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>~United Front, Power To The Goal~</strong></p><p> <strong>Junior Tag Team Contenders Match (20 Min Time Limit): </strong></p><p> <strong>Optimum Impact (American Optimus & Super Joshuya) vs</strong></p><p> <strong> Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda) </strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BlackEagle_alt5.jpg</span><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SuperJoshuya-1.jpg</span><strong> vs </strong><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HyosukeKokan-1.jpg</span><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KansukeKonda-1.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Taken at face value this is just a match to find the next team to challenge the Black Heart Flying Squadron for the Junior Tag Team Championship, but heading into this match there is an underlying current of discontent within both teams. Both members of Size of the Fight had an unsuccesful Best of the Super Juniors tournament, though Konda seemed to be in a position to have a relatively strong tournament until he fell to defeat to his won tag team partner Hyosuke Kokan and though Konda appeared to accept defeat, there is always the feeling such a defeat could have 'hurt' Konda more than he was letting on, if anything the victorious Kokan was the one to ensure that Size of the Fight 'moved on' after their match in the Best of the Super Juniors.</p><p> </p><p> However a bigger rift may be growing within Optimum Impact. American Optimus frustrated at the pressure of having to live up to the Optimus legacy by failing to advance in the Best of the Super Juniors, at the end of the Block Stage begun to try and pick up wins by any means necessary, something that has not gone down well with his tag team partner Super Joshuya. Joshuya himself was heading towards a tournament to forget, having not picked up a point in his previous five matches until inteference from American Optimus, ensured that Joshuya picked up an uspet win at the expense of John Pathlow. Joshuya was far from happy from Optimus' help however and it appears he would have rather have lost with dignity than to win in a tainted manner. </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>___________________________________________________________</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>~The Right to Fight~</strong></p><p> <strong>Loser of the Fall leaves BHOTWG (No Time Limit, to a decisive finish): </strong></p><p> <strong>The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) vs </strong></p><p> <strong>Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji)</strong> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_NisshoYuasa-1.jpg</span><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Kanishoki.jpg</span> <strong>vs</strong> <span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/BaireiYasujiro-1.jpg?t=1268428305</span><span>http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/HaruKurofuji.jpg?t=1268428325</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Over the past couple of month, former World Tag Team Champions 'The Behemoths' have attempted to bully the Junior Division, with Universal Excellence their prime targets. After Haru Kurofuji's final match, he made an emotional challenge, saying that he and Yasujiro have had enough of The Behemoths attacks, challenging them to match where the losing team would be forced to split, as should someone be pinned or submit they would be forced to leave BHOTWG. <p>BOSJ Cup Semi Final: The Awesome Kiyaru vs <strong>Elemental III</strong></p><p>

<em>This one could go either way but I give the win for younger guy here and i think that E3 vs. Cobra would be more interesting than Kiyaru vs. Cobra</em></p><p> </p><p>

BOSJ Cup Semi Final: <strong>Black Cobra </strong>vs Golden Scorpion</p><p>

<em>Cobra is the only guy still in the tournament who I expected to get this far so I go with him here. Scorpion has already made a good showing by just getting here (I though he would be 4th in his block).</em></p><p> </p><p>

BOSJ Cup Finals: Elemental III vs <strong>Black Cobra</strong></p><p>

<em>Like I said Cobra is the guy who I expected to be here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

World Championship: <strong>Hiroaki Nakasawa</strong> vs Sensational Dragon</p><p>

<em>Dragon isn´t going to be the guy who take Nakasawa´s title even though it would make an interesting story.</em></p><p> </p><p>

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs <strong>Masaaki Okazaki</strong></p><p>

<em>This one is actually hard for me, now normally i would pick Kikkawa without thinking but I have got a feeling that those open challenges are going to cost the title for Kikkawa and Okazaki would be a creditable champion and he could use the big win. However those extra contitions make it hard for me to pick Okazaki as I don´t see Okazaki being able to be the leader... oh well, why not, I go with upset and say that Okazaki gets the win as I think that team INSPIRE will be lot weaker after this fight no matter who wins. </em></p><p> </p><p>

World Tag Team Championship (No DQ): Black Magic vs The Rebellion vs <strong>Wild Fire</strong></p><p>

<em>Time for a change and Rebellion is getting more of singles push right now.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tasuku Iesada, John Pathlow & Chuichi Sanda vs <strong>Kinnojo Horri, Marihito Masuko & ????</strong></p><p>

<em>Seems to be pretty even espesially if mystery man is Hamacho but I see INSPIRE getting another loss here mainly for a storyline reasons.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tag Contenders: Optimum Impact vs <strong>Size Of The Fight</strong></p><p>

<em>This one could go either way but I go with SoF. My reasoning is that though Optimus will surely try to cheat to win Joshuya would probably have non-of it and I see that costing Optimum Impact the victory. </em></p><p> </p><p>

Loser of the Fall Leaves BHOTWG: The Behemoths vs <strong>Universal Excellence</strong></p><p>

<em>You hate Behemoths so likely one of them is leaving now that his current contract had ended</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Fuganaga, Shibanumo, VENOM & Shiomi </strong>vs Kataoaka, Sotomura, Panther & Yoshikawa</p><p>

<em>VENOM and lesser extent Shiomi looks to be the most important guys here</em></p><p> </p><p>

Sanetomo Shiraishi vs <strong>The Incredible Koyama</strong></p><p>

<em>No idea who Shiraishi even is so I pick Koyama</em></p>

O.O.C Note:

Inferno of Purity should be up sometime during the weekend (not going to rush this one, as some of the matches on this card really deliver), so still plenty of time to get in predictions if you've not done so already. There was a time I used to get more than four predictions you know :p

Really looking forward to this one, TK. Have a feeling you've got some fantastic wrestling to give us here. This one would be interesting if just for the finals of the Best of the Super Juniors. But the world title match is also really interesting. I would be surprised if a super junior actually grabbed the belt, but its still cool to see one going after it.

It's nice to know that at least someone is anticipating the arrival of this show.

Ebb and flow on the board. People come and go, even ones who seem like regulars. Plus a lot of people have gravitated towards WMMA3 as its the shiny new toy. The great thing about diaries like this is that it will still be generating some interest even after it's eventual end.

Not really had the time in recent months to get too involved in diaries (i.e. predicting on them) but I do keep catching up on this one. So it seems rude not to support one of our greatest diary writers in his hour of predicting need!

BOSJ Cup Semi Final: The Awesome Kiyaru vs Elemental III

BOSJ Cup Semi Final: Black Cobra vs Golden Scorpion

BOSJ Cup Finals: The Awesome Kiyaru vs Black Cobra

It's been a really interesting Super Junior Cup this year. I liked the format of it and it threw up some surprise results as well. I always liked Kiyaru but I can't see him overthrowing Cobra in the final.

World Championship: Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Sensational Dragon

I don't see Sensational Dragon as champion going out of this unless you really want to set the cat amongst the pigeons. But I think he'll show so well that Junior vs Heavy matches might become an occasional special attraction more regularly down the line. Also interesting is where Nakasawa goes from here with regards title challengers.

King of Fighters Championship: Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Masaaki Okazaki

You've done a good job with the ups and downs of the INSPIRE group. I can't see Okazaki beating out Kikkawa. If anyone's going to do that, I'd imagine it'll be Iesada when the stable finally implodes.

World Tag Team Championship (No DQ): Black Magic vs The Rebellion vs Wild Fire

Was a bit torn here as this could conceivably go a few different ways. Given that conundrum, I'll go for the safe option of the champs to retain! Unless you want to unleash the mullets on the singles ranks (which I'd be surprised at given your past history with them), they're probably better as champs being challenged than as challengers.

Tasuku Iesada, John Pathlow & Chuichi Sanda vs Kinnojo Horri, Marihito Masuko & ????

...And INSPIRE continues to struggle. Seems likely to be Hamacho, which makes me wonder if TK doesn't have someone else lined up as a curveball.

Tag Contenders: Optimum Impact vs Size Of The Fight

The tension between Joshuya and American Optimus was quite an interesting side-story in the Super Junior tournament. It'd be nice to see them win here, probably by slightly dubious means, to continue that storyline on.

Loser of the Fall Leaves BHOTWG: The Behemoths vs Universal Excellence

So whose contract has come up? Yuasa or Kanishoki? I quite like Universal Excellence as they seem quite a balanced team and I can't see you ditching them. Hopefully Yuasa is gone.

Fuganaga, Shibanumo, VENOM & Shiomi vs Kataoaka, Sotomura, Panther & Yoshikawa

Given that VENOM and Shiomi are on the first team, I'll go with them as having slightly more chance of picking up a jobber win.

Sanetomo Shiraishi vs The Incredible Koyama

Koyama may have a BHOTWG future beyond the throwaway match. Shiraishi probably doesn't.

Match A: Mitsunari Fuganaga, Toshiki Shibanumo, VENOM & Yoshii Shiomi vs Masutaro Katoaka, Roku Sotomura, Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawa

This turned out to b a pretty even eight man tag, with everyone getting a chance to 'shine', in the end though the Tagging experience of the RAGE quartet began to come to the fore, as the match wore on and it was Little Fury (VENOM & Shiomi) who combined with the ENGAGE THE RAGE (Revere STO/Enziguri combo) on Masutaro Kataoka to secure the victory.

Result: Mitsunari Fuganaga, Toshiki Shibanumo, VENOM [w] & Yoshii Shiomi bt Masutaro Katoaka [L], Roku Sotomura, Red Panther & Stone Yoshikawain 8:05 via pinfall (Engage The Rage).

Match B: Sanetomo Shiriaishi vs The Incredible Koyama

Junior Division Young Lion Koyama was in control for much of this match, as the Snow Lizzard veteran struggled to keep up, but Shiraishi was able to get the knees up as Koyama came crashing down with the Air Koyama (Shooting Star Press) before placing Koyama in the Lizard Clutch (Seated Cobra Clutch). Shiraishi had the submission hold locked on right in the middle of the ring and Koyama saw no choice but to tap out.

Result: Sanetomo Shiraishi [w] bt The Incredible Koyama [L] in 5:56 via submission (Lizard Clutch)

Match #1: BOSJ Cup Semi Final:

Black Cobra vs Golden Scorpion

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_DuaneStone_alt1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_GoldenScorpion-1.jpg

The show kicks off with the first semi final in the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, with Black Cobra looking to continue his perfect record thus far in the tournament against his Black Heart Brethren stable mate Golden Scorpion, who many would consider the 'surprise package' of the tournament.

The match begins quite cagily, as they engage in some chain wrestling exchanges that end in a series of standoffs and a nod of respect between the Black Heart Brethen Pair. Cobra then managed to get a double leg take down on Scorpion and quickly looked to turn the Junior Tag champion over for the Stone Hold but Scorpion was able to quicky scramble to the ropes.

After the rope break, Scorpion then nailed Cobra with a cheap shot from behind before rolling Cobra up.....

One.....

Cobra kicked out, and somewhat incensed by the manner that Scorpion tried to steal the win, Cobra got in the 'Gold and Black Attacks' face and the BHB pair engaged in shoving contest, this soon became an exchange of stiff strikes and now this semi final was really 'on' as the match seemed to shift up several gears.

Cobra appeared to come out the better from the exchanges, and looked to set Scorpion up for the Stoneplex but the 'Gold and Black Attack' managed to block the attempt and the plant Cobra to the mat with an STO. Scorpion then went for a kick to the head but Cobra saw it coming, grabbing Scorpions leg and taking down the Junior Tag Champion with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip.

But before Cobra could follow up Scorpion managed to roll out of the ring. The 2007 cup winner then patiently waited for Scorpion to get back in the ring instead of going after the 'Gold and Black Attack'.

When Scorpion did get back in, he charged right at Cobra only to get taken down with a drop toe hold and Cobra looked to once again apply the Stone Hold but Scorpion managed to power Cobra off and then shifted the momentum his way, nailing 'Canadian Darkness' with a leaping leg lariat.

Scorpion then continued to build momentum with a series of arm drags before nailing Cobra with a drop-kick in the corner. A dazed Cobra then staggered out of the corner and right into a BRAINBUSTER from the Junior Tag Champion.....

Cobra kicked out but remained rooted to the mat and Scorpion went out onto the apron, where the 'Gold and Black Attack' then slingshotted himself back in with the GOLDEN SHOT (Springboard Leg-drop) but Cobra knew exactly what was coming and managed to move out of the way at the last split second.

Cobra was too worn down to immediately follow up though and referee Terakado applied a double count. Cobra then avoided a roundhouse kick attempt from Scorpion as they both staggered back up to a vertical base, before nailing Cobra with a roaring elbow. That proved to be enough for Scorpion to be dazed enough to not be able to block the STONEPLEX (Bridging Northern Lights Suplex).......

Scorpion kicked out, but Cobra remained focus and lifted Scorpion back up to a vertical base , before setting up for the DEATH BY COBRA (Double Wristclutch Powerbomb), but Scorpion managed to block the move and then take down Cobra with a double leg takedown before trying to turn Cobra over into the SCORPION DEATHLOCK, but Cobra knew just how to block the attempt seeing as Scorpion's submission is near enough the same move as the Stone Hold and almost caught Scorpion with a quick roll up.

Scorpion however then managed to connect with a kick to Cobra's head, the 2007 cup winner however shook it off and immediately rose back to his feet only for Scorpion to double over 'Canadian Darkness' with a kick to the mid-section, where the 'Gold and Black Attack' then set up for the SCORPION STINGER but Cobra managed to block the attempt and then take Scorpion over with a back body drop.

Scorpion then rolled out of the ring, before Cobra decided to climb the turnbuckles and then launched himself at the Junior Tag Champion with a Flying Cross Body, but Scorpion managed to move out of the way and Cobra crashed and burned against the guard-rail. Scorpion then pitched Cobra into the ring and went for a quick cover......

Cobra showed that he wasn't about to go down without a fight, but Scorpion remained in control and connected with a punt to the head, before drilling Cobra into the mat with a BRAINBUSTER

Cobra kicked out again, causing Scorpion to pace around with frustration before the 'Gold and Black Attack' whipped Cobra into the corner. Scorpion then pitched Cobra on the top turnbuckle and appeared to be setting up for the ANEURYSM BRAINBUSTER but the 2007 cup winner came alive, blocking the attempt and then shoved Scorpion to the mat.

Scorpion immediately rose back to his feet but Cobra drilled the Junior Tag Champion with a missile drop-kick before snapping off a spinning headscissors that he immediately transitioned into the ALABASTER AGONY (Leg Hook Spinning Headscissors Arm Bar).........

Scorpion however managed to fight his way out of, so Cobra switched to planting Scorpion onto the canvas with a STONEPLEX (Bridging Northern Lights Suplex)

Scorpion kicked out, but the 2007 cup winner kept calm and after waiting for Scorpion to stagger back up to his feet again, managed to snap off another spinning headscissors to transition once more into the ALABASTER AGONY.......

This time Scorpion couldn't stand the pain and saw no other choice but to tap out, as Black Cobra's 'perfect' Best of the Super Juniors continued into the Final.

Result: Black Cobra [w] bt Golden Scorpion [L] in 15:02 via submission (Alabaster Agony)

Rating: B+

Onodera's Assessment: An excellent match to kick the show off with, they pitched it right here with the stable mates starting things out in a low key friendly manner, before the competive juices came flooding in. Scorpion was very much one of the people we had in mind for winning the cup this year, which is why he had a strong run all the way to the semi finals and there is the feeling that is not too late that he can still breakthrough as a singles star, but Cobra has been such a strong performer for us this tour, that we felt he should be rewarded with a trip to the finals at the very least.

Post Match Comments:

Black Cobra (in English): The perfect run continues, and whoever I face in the finals be it Kiyaru or Elemental it will continue their too, because the Best of the Super Juniors cup is destined to end up in my hands this year.

Golden Scorpion: I won't pretend that I am not disappointed that I did not manage to best Cobra-san, but one thing I am sure of is even if the Best of the Super Juniors cup did not end up in my hands it will still be with the Black Heart Brethren by the end of the night, because Elemental III is surely no match for either Kiyaru-san nor Cobra-san.

Match #2: BOSJ Cup Semi Final:

The Awesome Kiyaru vs Elemental III

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TheAwesomeKiyaru-1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalIII.jpg

The second semi final pitted the only non Black Heart Brethren member Elemental III against Junior Tag champion The Awesome Kiyaru.

The 'Third Generation Icon' wasn't going to play a waiting game and pressed hard early on, immediately nailing Kiyaru with a combination of kicks. The 'Dark Enigma' then tried to bail from the ring but Elemental III managed to pull the Junior Tag champion back and plant Kiyaru with a belly to back suplex.

Elemental III continued to be in control, sending Kiyaru into the corner and then nailing the former three time cup winner with a drop-kick into the corner before pitching Kiyaru onto the top turbuckle. But a superplex attempt from the 'Third Generation icon' was cut off with a eye gouge before Kiyaru took Elemental III down with a leg lariat. Kiyaru then snapped off a spinning head scissors only for Elemental III to immediately rise back to his feet and nail Kiyaru with a drop-kick that sent the 'Dark Enigma' out of the ring.

Elemental III then went soaring over the top-rope wiht his trademark 'Elemental Space Flying Drop' only for Kiyaru to move out of the way....the 'Third Generation Icon' managed to land on his feet but that was short-lived as Kiyaru took the 2008 cup winner down with an Arabian Press.

Kiyaru then peppered Elemental III with a swift combination of kicks before dragging the 'Third Generation Icon' up to the apron, Kiyaru then tried to pull off an Kiyaru Effect from the apron to the floor, but Elemental III managed to block that only for Kiyaru to send Elemental III crashing off the apron with a Forward Russian Leg-sweep instead.

Elemental III did manage to beat referee Shinozaki's twenty count only to stagger right into the Tilt-A-Whirl Russian Legsweep from Kiyaru. The 'Dark Enigma' then planted Elemental III into the canvas with a Falcon Arrow for a two count, before heading out onto the apron.

But as Kiyaru went for the ETHEREAL KILLER (Springboard Shooting Star Press)....Elemental III lept up off the canvas and sent Kiyaru crashing out of mid-air with an unbelievable drop-kick that instantly turned defence into attack, with the impact of Kiyaru crashing to the mat so great that Elemental III immediately went for a cover......

Kiyaru barely got a shoulder up... and Elemental IIII went for another cover.....

Barely but Kiyaru kicked out again. Elemental III then lifted Kiyaru up, to set up for an Elemental Suplex but the wiley veteran managed to sneak in a crafty low blow, as he conveniently stumbled into Koetsu Shinozaki obscuring the referees view.

Kiyaru then went for a Falcon Arrow but the 'Third Generation Icon' was able to block, and then tried to set up for an Earth Breaker but Kiyaru blocked that and then spewed Black Mist, Elemental III managed to duck out of the way but the Mist found it's way to referee Shinozaki instead and blinded by the mist Shinozaki went down in a heap.

Elemental III then reeled off the Tri-Fecta Kick series, to set up for the EARTH BREAKER (Double Underhook Powerbomb)......

It would have been enough but Shinozaki was still down and unable to make the count. Elemental III then went over to revive the referee only for Kiyaru to stagger back up and crotch the 'Third Generation Icon' with a low blow. Kiyaru then planted Elemental III onto the canvas with a Falcon Arrow and headed up top.

Kiyaru then went for the MAGIC CLOUD (Imploding 450 splash) but Elemental III was able to get the knees up. The 'Third Generation Icon' then planted the three time cup winner onto the mat with an ELEMENTAL SUPLEX, before heading up top himself......

INFERNO SPLASH (Corkscrew 450 Splash)......

Shinozaki had begun to regain his senses and crawled across to make the count......

Elemental III had reached the finals for the second time in three years, could he win BOSJ Cup for a second time?

Result: Elemental III [w] bt The Awesome Kiyaru [L] in 10:13 via pinfall (Inferno Splash)

Rating: B

Onodera's Assessment: The relatively short amount of time that this match got, meant that it was never going to reach 'classic' territory but they did pack alot of action and were still able to sell a gripping story into a short time frame.

Post Match Comments:

Elemental III: Cobra-san, I am ready for you. You're one of the best, I should know that...we've met three times before on this tour and each to me you've had the better of me. But each time I've gotten closer to getting the best of you, and that's just what I'm gonna to do in the finals of the Best of the Super Juniors, I am going to get the best of you.

The Awesome Kiyaru: Cobra-san please do the Brethren proud and win the cup, because I was screwed out of being in those finals with you, screwed out of victory by those damn incompetent officials.

~The Right to Fight~

Match #3: Loser of the Fall leaves BHOTWG:

The Behemoths (Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki) vs

Universal Excellence (Barei Yasujiro & Haru Kurofuji)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_NisshoYuasa-1.jpg & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Kanishoki.jpg

vs

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/BaireiYasujiro-1.jpg?t=1268428305 & http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/HaruKurofuji.jpg?t=1268428325

Whoever gets pinned in this match has to leave BHOTWG, thus breaking up the losing team. With such a stipulation handed to them on a plate by a desperate Universal Excellence, following The Behemoths constant attacks, the super heavyweight bullies must have felt it too much of a perfect opportunity in being able to send one of the Junior Division they seem to detest packing from BHOTWG to turn down.

As soon as the bell sounds The Behemoths try to jump Universal Excellence, but the Junior Division pair were ready for such attack, side stepping out of the way and then stunning the superheavyweights with a pair on Enziguris. The Behemoths stayed on their feet but that did not deter Yasujiro and Kurofuji, who tried to get their considerably larger opponents off their feet with a series of drop-kicks but neither of The Behemoths budged and for all Universal Excellence valiant efforts, they were the first to hit the mat as Yuasha and Kanishoki levelled the Junior Division pair with simple clotheslines.

Haru Kurofuji was then launched out of the ring into the crowd with a militiary press by Nisso Yuasha, leaving Yasujiro isolated in The Behemoths corner.

The Behemoths could have had that point, if they stay focused on getting the job done quickly put Yasujro away and send the Mighty Mouse packing from BHOTWG, but several times they pulled the former WLW star up off the mat when they could have made the pin to dish out more punishment. Invevitably this proved to be mistake as Nisso Yuasha charging in with the ELEPHANT STAMPEDE (Body Avalanche) went crashing into Kanishoki, as the 'Mighty Mouse' moved out of the way.

Haru Kurofuji then rolled back into the ring and nailed Yuasha with a running drop-kick into the corner. Yuasha then stumbled out of the corner to be taken down with a basement drop-kick from Kurofuji who then turned the 'Baby Elephant' over into the KUROFUJI CRAB (Elevated Boston Crab).....

Neither were the legal man however and Kanishoki was back up to his feet , to level Yasujiro with a clothesline. Kanishoki then placed Yasujiro in place for the SAMOAN SITTING SQUASH, but Kurofuji letting go of the Crab Lift on Yuasha, came to Yasujiro's aid , by pulling his partner out of the way at the last split second.

Universal Excellence then hit double super-kicks on the former sumo wrestler. Yuasha was now back to his feet, but the Baby Elephant was moving slowly and that telegraphed his intervention to Universal Excellence who took Yuasha down with a basement drop-kick/leg lariat combo.

With both of The Behemoths flat on their back , Universal Excellence headed for the top turnbuckles..... before Yasujiro and Kurofuji came crashing down upon both members of The Behemoths at the same time with a MIGHTY MOUSE AIR ATTACK (Sky Twister Press) on Kanishoki and a KAMIKAZE HEADBUTT on Yuasha simulateously at the same time.

Referee Omura Umeki then counted Yasujiro's pinfall on Kanishoki......

One.....

Two.....

KANISHOKI KICKS OUT !!

But Umeki's hand had already slapped the mat for a third time......Universal Excellence had brought The Behemoths down and Kanishoki's BHOTWG career looks to be over !!

Result: Barei Yasujiro [w] & Haru Kurofuji bt Nisso Yuasha & Kanishoki [L] in 6:48 via pinfall (Sky Twister Press)

Rating: C+

Onodera's Assessment: This was never going to be a wrestling clinic, but it was fine for what it was and it was given the right amount of time for The Behemoths not to send the crowd asleep during the 'heat' portion and for Universal Excellence to pull off the underdog comeback, with a mix of luck and ingenuity that the crowd could buy into. Kanishoki is still on a written contract with us for quite a few months but is going to be sent down to Hinote Dojo next tour, to 'develop'.

Post Match Comments:

Barei Yasujiro: Behemoths you tried to bully us out of Burning Hammer, but we brought you down and now you have to respect us....

Haru Kurofuji: Well only one has to respect us, because remember Kanishoki is gone.......

Barei Yasujiro: That's right Kanishoki, we sent you packing and the lasting memory of your time here in Burning Hammer, won't be the Tag Title reign you had at the end of last year, it will be me sending your world crashing down with the Mighty Mouse Air Attack !

Haru Kurofuji: Behemoths it's over now, and now we Universal Excellence can focus once again on something we want to achieve and that's to become the Junior Tag Team champions.

Barei Yasujiro: You've all been put on notice, Universal Excellence are back in the hunt!

The Behemoths as expected were in no mood to give a post match interview and take out their frustrations on some defenceless vending machines before storming out of the back entrance of the Ishikawa stadium.

~ With Or Without Control~

Match #4: King of Fighters Chanpionship :

Tadiyuki Kikkawa vs Masaaki Okazaki

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_INSPIRE.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_TadiyukiKikkawa.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MasaakiOkazaki.jpg

The first title match of the night see's Tadiyuki Kikkawa put his King of Fighters Championship on the line against fellow Team INSPIRE member Masaaki Okazaki. Okazaki rose up to challenge Kikkawa, when after a string of failures Kikkawa accused of being weak. Okazaki's place in Team INSPIRE is also on the line, as if he loses he will have to leave the faction, however should Okazaki win then Kikkawa has agreed to step down as leader and for Okazaki to take over.

The match begins slowly with a series of collar and elbow tie ups that see Kikkawa over-power Okazaki. After powering Okazaki down to the mat, the 'King of Fighters' mocks Okazaki. The taunts fire up 'No Mercy' who then wails away at Kikkawa with a flurry of fore-arms before being levelled with a single clothesline from the INSPIRE leader.

Okazaki to his credit, got straight back up however and after ducking another clothesline from Kikkawa rocked the King of Fighters with a basement drop-kick. Kikkawa stayed on his feet but Okazaki then peppered Kikkawa with a series of stiff kicks that sent the champion back peddling, before 'No Mercy' then nailed the INSPIRE leader with a roaring elbow.

Kikkawa staggered forward to then be taken down with another basement drop-kick from Okazaki. 'No Mercy' then went to look on the Century Crab Lift but Kikkawa had it well scouted and shook Okazaki off before powering back up to his feet, but Okazaki sent Kikkawa crashing to the mat again with another basement drop-kick.

Okazaki then went for the KICK BARRAGE, but Kikkawa blocked the final kick to the head in the sequence and in control of Okazaki's right leg, powered up to his feet to then toss Okazaki overhead with a Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex.

Kikkawa then waited for Okazaki to stagger back up to his feet, to then try and level 'No Mercy' with a Kikkawa Lariat, but Okazaki saw it coming and bailed out of the ring. Kikkawa then patientially waited for Okazaki to get back onto the apron, before sending 'No Mercy' crashing back down to the floor with a fore-arm smash. Okazaki picked himself back up only to be sent to the floor again with another stiff fore-arm from the King of Fighters.

Kikkawa then decided to follow Okazaki out to the floor, and after a series of clubbing blows to the back of Okazaki, appeared to be setting up for vertical suplex on the entrance but Okazaki managed to block the attempt and then contered with a simple DDT onto the entrance ramp. Then as Kikkawa began to rise to his feet, Okazaki then nailed Kikkawa wiht a savate kick that sent the 'King of Fighters' crashing from the entrance ramp into one of the barricades. Okazaki then followed up with a flurry of kicks before sending the INSPIRE leader shoulder first into the ring post.

Okazaki then pitched Kikkawa into the ring and aked for referee Terakado to make the ten count......

Kikkawa staggered back up at six, only to be taken down with a drop toe hold before Okazaki turned Kikkawa over into the CENTURY CRAB LIFT (Leglock Cloverleaf). The King Of Fighters began to power his way to the ropes, but Okazaki showed his determination to win by holding firm and then dragging Kikkawa nearer to the centre of the ring....

At that point Kikkawa looked to be on the verge of tapping, as fans begun to think that Okazaki could very well pull off the upset, but the King Of Fighters found a second wind and dug down to power himself and Okazaki across to the ring ropes.....

Okazaki then tried to keep the pressure on after the rope breaks, but Kikkawa fired back with a series of fore-arm smashes, before levelling Okazaki with a KIKKAWA LARIAT........

Kikkawa could then see favouring his right arm, selling the fact that he was sent shoulder first into the ring post earlier. Kikkawa then feeling that one Kikkawa Lariat wouldn't be enough to keep Okazaki down, then lifted 'No Mercy' up for a vertical suplex....but Kikkawa again favoured the right arm, allowing for Okazki to block the attempt and then plant Kikkawa onto the canvas with an STO.

Okazaki then allowed Kikkawa to get up to his knees before peppering the INSPIRE leader with the KICK BARRAGE and then prompting Terakado to make the ten count......

Seven......

Eight.......

Nine........

Kikkawa staggered back up to his feet, and then shook off another flurry of kicks from Okazaki before levelling 'No Mercy' with a BURNING LARIAT !!!

But as Okazaki went down like so many others before him into a heap, Kikkawa went down at the same time clutching his arm in agony.......

And instead of being a simple ten count for Yasuyuki Terakado, the referee was now making a double count on both men......

Despite the pain shooting through his arm, Kikkawa was up first, beating the count at eight....

Nine...

Te.......

To Kikkawa's disbelief and immediate disappointment, Okazaki had managed to beat the count...the King of Fighters then went for another KIKKAWA LARIAT (despite the fact it was hurting him to throw them) only for Okazaki to block it with a kick straight to Kikkawa's arm.

Okazaki then followed up with a flurry of kicks, that sent Kikkawa crumbling to the mat before synching in the ANGULAR ARM BAR.........

Once again the fans were starting to feel a title change could be about to happen......

But yet again Kikkawa showed incredible resillience, not only surviving the submission hold from Okazaki but then powering his way back up to a vertical base to then haul Okazaki upon his shoulders and then plant 'No Mercy' onto the canvas with a KIKKAWA DRIVER (Wrist Clutch Death Valley Driver).......

Kikkawa then dropped to the mat himself to then place Okazaki in the KIKKAWA DEATH CHOKE (Straight Jacket Hold)......

Okazaki began to fight his way out of the hold, but Kikkawa held firm and the more Okazaki began to struggle, the more Kikkawa's submission hold began to take effect........

'No Mercy' then began to fade, and referee Terakado checked on the challengers condition......

Okazaki did not respond to the first time his arm was raised......

Nor did he the second time.......

Terakado gave Okazaki one last opportunity to show that he still had some fight left........

But he had been choked out....meaning that not only had his challenge of Kikkawa's King of Fighters Championship failed but he was also out of Team INSPIRE.

Result: Tadiyuki Kikkawa [w] bt Masaaki Okazaki [L] in 20:34 via submission (Kikkawa Death Choke).....

Tadiyuki Kikkawa makes V12 defence of King of Fighters Championship.

Rating: A

Onodera's Assessment: Fantastic match, as the match wore on they had the fans believing that Okazaki could pull of the unthinkable and topple Kikkawa. In the end Okazaki's focus on neutralising Kikkawa's most recognised weapon the Lariat, left him unprepared for Kikkawa to place him in the Kikkawa Death Choke.

Post Match Comments:

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: Team INSPIRE have now lost another member, but Okazaki-san has shown himself to be weak and I am no longer prepared to let someone so weak ride along on my coat-tails. He had his chance to prove himself better than me, and though he brought his best tonight, he showed his best to be far too weak....I am the strongest and I am still the King of Fighters!

Masaaki Okazaki: Kikkawa-san you may have left me a defeated man but one day, you will regret this day because the day will come when you will be a man with no friends to turn to.

Then he emerges wearing a garishly multi coloured stetson, shades and an equally garish ring jacket with 'Mister Macho' sequined on the back, the bearded man is instantly recognisable as Eiji Hamacho, but it is clear this a very different Hamacho from the one who left the ring on a stretcher after being knocked out by Tadiyuki Kikkawa around a month earlier. As the two teams meet in the ring, Hamacho's former tag partner Chuichi Sanda goes to square up to him, but the newly entitled Mister Macho just smirks at the INSPIRE trialist and then raises an arm before letting out an 'OOOOOHHH YEAAAAAHHH !!' ....Sanda just takes several steps back, his expression relaying total confusion at the new Eiji Hamacho before him.

Onto the match itself and the early going saw both teams go through the motions as they tagged in and out with neither side really seizing control during a 'feeling out' process....Things heated up a bit when Mister Macho was tagged into the match, with Sanda still in the ring, but the 'Explosive One' wanted no part of Macho and quickly bailed from the ring to tag in John Pathlow. Pathlow determined as ever peppered Macho with his rapid fire combination of kicks, but underneath the bizarre gimmick , Macho was still the bull of old..able to absorb the punishment dished out to him and then level Pathlow with a clothesline. Mister Macho then planted Pathlow with a scoop slam before looking like he was going for knee drop, only to stall for ten seconds...then deliver the knee drop.

Macho made the cover, but it was soon broken up by Sanda, who then wailed away on Macho only for the former Raging Bull to shake it off and then come back with a series of lefts and rights that put Sanda onto his backside, until he was taken down from behind with a chop block from Tasuku Iesada.

Macho though managed to fight all three INSPIRE members off before getting the tag into Marihito Masuko who then sent both Pathlow and Iesada out of the ring with spinning headscissors. The 'Painted Wonder' then looked to make a dive to the outside, but had clearly forgotten about Sanda who levelled the former Junior Champion with an Explosion Kick (Running Boot).......

Masuko kicked out, but the tide had been turned and the 'Painted Wonder' found himself isolated in the INSPIRE corner. The INSPIRE trio then methodically worked over the Junior Division wrestler, as the crowd got behind Masuko to hang in there and fight back.

Masuko was 'hanging in there' but isolated on the wrong side of the ring and with Team INSPIRE gradually wearing him down, it only looked like a matter of time before the 'Painted Wonder's' shoulders would either be pinned to the mat or he would be forced to tap out.

It looked to be all over as Masuko was planted in place with a snap suplex from Iesada, before Pathlow headed up top to come crashing down with the HEART COMPACTOR (Diving Double Knee Drop) only for Masuko to roll out of the way. Iesada then prevented Masuko from making the tag and looked to be setting up for an Iesada Bridge, but the 'Painted Wonder' managed to block and then shock Iesada with a MASUKO CRADLE SHOCK (Swinging Leg Hook Fireman's Carry Slam)........

Masuko was too worn down though to follow up with a pin and it became a race to see who could tag out first......

Iesada got there first to tag in Sanda, before Masuko a split second later managed to get Kinnojo Horri into the ring. Horri and Sanda then went toe to toe with some brawling, with 'Mr One Million Per Cent Burning Hammer' dominating the former RAGE man. Horri then set to level Sanda with a Lariat, only to be nailed on the apron with a high kick from John Pathlow. That allowed Sanda to recover and then rock Horri with an EXPLOSION KICK II (Spin Kick)......

Horri managed to stay on his feet, but Sanda then followed up with an EXPLOSION KICK (Running Boot) to send the 'Mr One Million Per Cent Burning Hammer' crashing to the mat.....

Horri kicked out much to Sanda's frustration. The 'Explosive One' then went for another Explosion Kick II, but this time Horri was able to duck and then plant Sanda with a HURRICANE SPINEBUSTER (Spinning Spinebuster).....

John Pathlow dived in to make the save, and then after avoiding a Lariat from Horri nail the former World Champion with the BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA (Running Leaping Side Kick) only to get planted into the mat with a INTO THE WHITE (Springboard Bulldog) from Marihito Masuko.

Masuko was then sent to the floor with a roaring elbow from Tasuku Iesada, who then placed the IESADA SPECIAL (Bridging Cross Armbreaker) on Kinnojo Horri.....

But Omura Umeki keen to restore order, rightfully pointed to Iesada not being the legal man and ordered the 2009 Super 10 Cup winner back to release the hold and go back to his corner. Iesada wasn't going to go quietely however and he argued with Umeki, but all that did was allow for Mister Macho to sneak into the ring and level Chuichi Sanda with a Lariat behind Umeki's back.

Macho then planted Sanda with a scoop body slam, before delivering an elbow drop..... the reborn Eiji Hamacho then got himself offically tagged into the match....and then took down Sanda with another Lariat, before lifting his former tag partner back up to a vertical base to deliver a classic 'Texas' Piledriver.....

Eiji Hamacho had finally got one over on his former tag partner, since Sanda broke up their succesful tag team. But had Eiji Hamacho gotten revenge? For this wasn't the same Eiji Hamacho that was part of the Raging Bulls, this was Mister Macho...though the same man, it appears he has come back an entirely different person to the one that left on a stretcher a month earlier.

Result: Kinnojo Horri, Marihito Masuko & Mister Macho [w] bt Tasuku Iesada, John Pathlow & Chuichi Sanda [L] in 14: 01 via pinfall (Old Skool Piledriver)

Rating: B

Onodera's Assessment: This Six Man Tag did it's job of providing a solid undercard contest. Eiji Hamacho got a decent response, though admittedly some of the fans in attendance were left scratching their heads over the new gimmick.

Post Match Comments:

Mister Macho: Oooooh !! Yeaaahhh!!! I'm the past, present and future of the Hammer, that's right you're looking at him, you're looking at the legend him, you're looking at Mister Macho....OOOH YEAHHH !!

Kinnojo Horri: I may have been in the ring tonight with a couple of crazy fools, but those crazy fools have more heart than Team INSPIRE put together....the Burning Sekigun is stronger than ever and we will continue to be strong.

Meanwhile Tadiyuki Kikkawa has stormed into the losing Team INSPIRE trio's press conference....

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Alts/TadiyukiKikkawa_jhd.jpg

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: That's it....I should be done with the lot of you, but you know what I'm not going to do that......

Because the weak link here is.....

You Sanda-san, you lost the match and ever since you've tried to become a part of Team INSPIRE, we've struggled......

Chuichi Sanda: But you've barely given me a chance......

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: I think you'll find, I've given you too much of a chance....you're not good enough for INSPIRE and you never will be.......

Chuichi Sanda: Come on, Kikkawa-san, just one more chance

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: I really suggest you walk away now Sanda-san, before I decide to remove you from Team INSPIRE the hard way.....

Chuichi Sanda: Fine, but you'll regret this decision

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: I very much doubt it.

Tasuku Iesada: Great now we're down to three members

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: And what is it you are getting at, Iesada-san?

Tasuku Iesada: You know full well....

Tadiyuki Kikkawa: I would count yourself lucky to still be part of Team INSPIRE, given recent failures. We may be down to three, but I'm hoping that we can emerge stronger than ever, it's time you and Pathlow-san to prove that you worthy of being led by the King of Fighters!

Match #6: No DQ Match for the

Burning World Tag Team Championship:

Black Magic (Yasunobu Masuno & Yasuhiko Taira) vs

The Rebellion (Shimedzu & Miyamae) vs

Wild Fire (Tadakuni Toshusai & Takayuki Onodera)

Quite simply this three way match was set up because Black Magic intefered in the contenders match between, Black Magic's main rivals this tour 'Wild Fire' and the divisions measuring stick The Rebellion. Burning Hammer officials anticipating the possibility of Black Magic going as far as getting themselves intentionallly DQ'd to keep the titles, added the No DQ stip.....

Though this a tag match 'Tornado' rules are in effect here, so there was never going to be any doubt that this would soon break down into wild brawl between all three teams....

Thats exactly what happened after a brief feeling out process, the match spilled out to the floor and into the crowd. Just when it looked like one team would start to dominate, such as Black Magic combining to plant Miyamae onto a row of chairs, the other team would halt that momentum.

The defending champions though did begin to take over, as their size advantage allowed them to overpower both The Rebellion and Wild Fire. In what looked to be a real turning point, both Miyamae and Shimedzu were tossed off the entrance ramp, and then Masuno clotheslined Onodera , just as the Iron Man was about to deliver a chair shot. Toshusai was getting the better of Taira, but Masuno having taken care of Onodera, clobbered Toshusai from behind and 'Wild Charisma' was sent into the ring-steps with a double flap-jack, busting Toshusai open in the process.

Onodera then came over to help his tag partner but was over-matched by the champions, as the match was brought back into the ring, a double biel throw from Black Magic into the corner, was followed up by a double does of THE FLATTENER (Running Clothesline into the corner) from both Taira and Masuno.

Masuno then made the cover......

One.....

Thr......

Shimedzu had picked himself up off the floor and broke up the pin to save the match for The Rebellion. Black Magic remained in control however and they then went for the double Flattener on Shimedzu....the first one from Taira connected but Shimedzu managed to move out of the way, sliding under the ring-rope to the combine with Miyamae, stunning 'The Hammer' with double Enziguri's from the apron, before they drilled Taira with a pair of springboard drop-kicks !

Shimedzu made the cover......

One......

Two.....

Onodera dove across to make the save, but The Rebellion were now in control and they combined to plant the 'Iron Man' with a double slingshot suplex but they were unable to follow up, as bloodied Toshusai slid back into the ring and levelled the Dragon Feet 2K9 pair with a double clothesline.

But Masuno who had rolled out of the ring, slid back in and with the infamous loaded elbow pad on this debut he went to nail Toshusai with the MAGIC K.O but Toshusai managed to see it coming and then after a series of punches gave Masuno the double bird signal before nailing 'the Hammer' with SHOCK KICK (Bicycle Kick)

But before Toshusai could follow up he was nailed with a chair shot from Taira. 'Wild Charisma' no sold it, before kicking the chair out of Taira's hands. But both Toshusai and Taira were then on the receiving end of Kendo Stick shots from The Rebellion. Only for both the Wild Fire man and his Black Magic rival to shake them off and clothesline the former two time champions out of the ring.

Taira and Toshusai then exploded on one another trading lefts and rights until Taira went to the eyes, and then crotched Toshusai with a low blow. Taira then followed up with a series of chair shots, before setting up the chair to plant Toshusai onto it with a TYPHOON SUPLEX (Rotating Vertical Suplex) onto the chair....with the chair bending in half on impact!

But before Taira could follow up with a cover, Onodera lept onto the back of Taira and applied a Sleeper Hold....'The Bulldozer' stood firm however and backed Onodera into the corner forcing the 'Iron Man' to release the hold. Taira then placed Onodera onto the top turnbuckle and appeared to be setting up for The Wrecking Ball only for The Rebellion to come back into the ring, now armed with a ladder.....The Dragon Feet 2K9 pair charged at Taira with a horizontally placed ladder.

'The Bulldozer' stayed on his fee the first time, but was taken down with another ladder shot from the former two time champions. The Rebellion then placed the ladder across Taira as Onodera remained perched on the top turbuckle. But as The Rebellion headed up to set for a double team vertical suplex Masuno rolled back into the ring and clubbed the Dragon Feet 2K9 pair from behind, before bringing both The Rebellion and Onodera down with a 'tower of doom' powerbomb.....

However somewhat inadvertantly he brought them all crashing down upon the ladder with Taira still placed under it! Masuno was in control though and with everyone else down he decided to lift up Onodera upon his shoulders and set up for the DAY OF RACKENING (Argentine Backbreaker rack)

But just as it looked as though Onodera was set to tap out, Toshusai (who looked done after he was on the receiving end of a chair breaking Typhoon Suplex from Taira) made the save nailing Masuno with a SHOCK KICK (Bicycle Kick).

Masuno stayed on his feet, only to receive a second consecutive Shock Kick from Toshusai and 'the Hammer' crumbled to the mat......

But the Rebellion were back up and they broke up the cover from Toshusai.......

Toshusai then charged at the Dragon Feet 2K9 pair but was taken down with a double drop toe hold.....before The Rebellion dished out a double superkick to 'Wild Charisma'.

Miyamae then made the pin......

One.....

Two......

Toshusai kicked out but was then caught in the SNAKE POISON (Anaconda Vice) by Miyamae, as Shimedzu then launched himself to the floor to wipe out both members of Black Magic with a slinghsot cross body block.

Miyamae had the Snake Poison submission hold locked on right in the middle of the ring, and with the blood trickling down his face from being busted open earlier in the match, Toshusai started to fade......

But Onodera was back in to make the save, as he delivered a kick to Miyamae's head.......

Onodera then lifted Miyamae up with an inverted facelock before driving 'the viper' into the canvas with the CALL THE DOCTOR (Inverted Facelock lifted Scoop Slam Piledriver)......

Shimedzu dived back into the ring at the last second to make the save......

Shimedzu then peppered Onodera with a combination of kicks before setting up for the LIFE FLASHER (Rebound Running Boot) only for Yasuhiko Taira to nail Shimedzu with a chairshot from the apron. Black Magic then pulled Shimedzu out to the floor, and flung him against the guard-rail.

Onodera was then left facing a two on one against Black Magic, as he was taken down with a double big boot from the champions. The mulleted duo then lifted Onodera up into the air to then bring him crashing back down with the DEVASTATOR (Flapjack/Cutter Combination)

One......

Two.....

Thr......

Miyamae had recovered and was able to dive across to make the save at the last split second......

Miyamae though was unable to fight off Black Magic by himself, and just like Onodera earlier was taken down with a double big boot, before the champions once again looked to be setting up for another DEVASTATOR....

But Shimedzu came back in and clipped Masuno from behind with a Kendo Stick shot to the back of the legs.......

Taira crumbled to the mat but Miyamae was still planted into the canvas with the Devastator.....

However there wasn't to be a smooth transition into the pin, as Taira was unable to hold on, Masuno then turned around to make the cover himself, only for Shimedzu to nail Masuno with a roundhouse kick, that sent Masuno stumbling backwards against the turnbuckle, before following up with a running drop-kick into the corner.

Taira was now back up and 'the Bulldozer' levelled Shimedzu with a Lariat, before whipping 'Kamikaze Spirt' into the opposite corner. Taira then perched Shimedzu onto the top turbuckle and set up for the WRECKING BALL but Shimedzu fought it off and then planted Taira into the mat with a Tornado DDT, that Shimedzu quickly transitioned into the INSURREXION DEVICE (Guillotine Choke)......

Masuno looked as though he was getting up out of the corner only to be nailed with a GLITTERING MAGICIAN knee strike from Miyamae.......

Miyamae then climbed up top, to then take out the recovering Wild Fire with a flying cross body block as Shimedzu continued to have Taira placed in the Insurrexion Device right in the middle of the ring......

Taira began to rise to his feet, but Kamikaze Spirit was relentless in his determination to keep the hold locked on and 'the Bulldozer' wilted down to the mat again.......

Taira looked to having nothing left, and with Masuno still not recovered from being nailed with Miyamae's Glittering Magician knee strike and with Wild Fire wiped out on the floor, it was up to him to escape......

But he had nothing left and referee Koetsu Shinozaki called for the bell !!!

The Rebellion had finally got their hands on a third Burning World Tag Team title reign, as they outnmanouvered and out survived Black Magic and Wild Fire in a often chaotic contest.

Result: Shimedzu [w] & Miyamae bt Yasuhiko Taira [L} & Yasunobu Masuno + Tadakuni Toshusai & Takayuki Onodera in 16: 43 via submission (Insurrexion Device)

The Rebellion win the Burning World Tag Team Championship.

Rating: B

Onodera's Assessment: This was very chaotic and probably wasn't everyone's cup of tea amongst the crowd, the real tradionalists but everyone worked hard to deliver a good match. Now some people may be surprised to see The Rebellion win here despite their pedigree, because the perception is that each of them were getting more of a singles push. Well those single pushes aren't dead but the plan is to go against the conceived norm when two tag partners have singles ambitions and have them remain strong as a duo, instead of those ambitions pulling them apart.

Post Match Comments:

Shimedzu: Finally we have made something happen, we should have made happen a long time ago and that's to win back these belts....

Miyamae: For years many have called us the best team in Burning Hammer but we didn't really have the belts round our waists to back those words up.....

Shimedzu: Now we do !! And our ambitions aren't going to end here, you see we still want to reach the top as individuals too....

Miyamae: The Rebellion are heading straight for the top....

Shimedzu: Be it in tag team competion like tonight or in single action, The Rebellion will prove to be an unstoppable force.

Miyamae: 2010 will remembered as the year The took it to the next level!

Yasunobu Masuno: You know what this match, was not fair...the odds were stacked against us....we want, no we demand a rematch for OUR belts.....you know what Rebellion, if you're the great, fighting champs no doubt you'll make yourself out to be, you'll give us our shot, and we certainly expect one before those pair of losers Wild Fire.

Meanwhile the camera's with Wild Fire, pick up a hysterical (when is he not ?) Tadakuni Toshusai....

Tadakuni Toshusai: NOOOOO !!! NOOOO !! damn you REBELLIOOOOONNN, denied, denied, DENNNNIEDDDD AGAAAINNN !!!

Takayuki Onodera: Calm down Toshusai-san, we will win those belts, I assure you we will be Tag Team Champions, sooner rather than later.

Tadakuni Toshusai: TOSHUSAAAIIII unhappy, very UNHAAAAAPPPPYYY !!

On paper a simple contenders match for the Junior Tag Team championshp, but one that comes with a sub-text of tension amongst both camps, was Kansuke Konda really over his defeat to his partner Hyosuke Kokan in the BOSJ Cup and American Optimus willingness to win at any cost, wasn't going down well with Super Joshuya.

After a bried feeling out process, the match kicks up a gear when Kokan and Joshuya engage in some slick chain wrestling, resulting in Kokan rolling up the 'nippon luchadore' into a La Magistral Cradle, it almost gets the three count if it wasn't for Optimus breaking up the pin.

That draws in Konda and the two teams brawl, Size of the Fight get the better of the exchange sending Optimum Impact to the floor with stereo drop-kicks and then soaring to the outside with their trademark suicide dives, wiping out their opponents in the process.

Kokan pitches Optimus back into the ring and sets up for an Elemental Suplex, but 'gaijin legacy' blocks that with a flick of his leg into Kokan's groin. Joshuya who is now back on the apron ready to make the tag shakes his head, but is still willing to the take tag from Optimus.

Optimum Impact do work together to keep Kokan isolated in their corner, and they get a close two count after Optimus places Kokan in the figure four, as Joshuya comes off the top-rope to come crashing down upon the 'Electric Live Wire' with a moonsault.....

Optimum Impact then signal for the finish, but they in doing so they telegraphed their O-Destructor (Powerbomb/Missile Drop-kick combo) to Kokan, who managed to counter into a victory roll on American Optimus, Joshuya still came off the with the missile drop-kick but was then levelled with a lariat from Konda who charged out of the corner.

Kokan went for the pin on Optimus, but Joshuya was the in fact legal man. Size of the Fight sitll combined however to take American Optimus out of the equation with a lariat assited Elemental Suplex.

Joshuya had recovered however and drop-kicked Konda out of the ring before taking down Kokan with a spinning head-scissors. Kokan staggered back up to his feet only to be planted into the canvas with the J-DROP (Flip Over DDT)....

Konda dove in at the last second to break up the pin. Konda then levelled Joshuya with a lariat before signalling for Kokan to get back to his feet. Kokan did that and they looked to set up for the Big Fight Ender (Powerbomb/Neckbreaker combination) on Joshuya but the 'Nippon Luchadore' had recovered enough for him to counter into a combination headscissors/DDT on both members of Size of the Fight. But the headscissors sent Konda crashing into referee Terakado......

American Optimus then slid into the ring to nail Kokan over the head with a kendo stick, Optimus then looked set to do the same to Konda, only for Joshuya to pull it out of his partners hands. Optimum Impact then began to argue amongst themselves, Joshuya making his point clearly known that he didn't win 'that' way.

Konda then rose to his feet and took both members of Optimum Impact by surprise with a double KONDA KUTTER (Jumping Cutter)......

Kokan was now back to his feet, and with Joshuya still the legal man they looked to further secure victory by planting the 'nippon luchadore' into the canvas with the BIG FIGHT ENDER as Terakado regained his senses.

Looks like everthings alright with Size of the Fight, the same can't be said for Optimum Impact.

Result: Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda [w] bt American Optimus & Super Joshuya [L] in 9:28 via pinfall (Big Fight Ender)

Rating: B-

Onodera's Assessment: Pretty good for what was basically an excuse to get these four Junior midcarders onto the card, the fast pace meant that they kept the crowds attention from beginning to end, and the finish forwarded the Optimum Impact storyline, whilst still given the fans the decisive finish they demand from a Burning Hammer match.

Post Match Comments:

Kansuke Konda: I know that many didn't believe me, that I was over losing to Kokan-san right here in the Best of the Super Juniors and you know what yeah that did hurt, but he was the better man that night and we march on together, because Size of the Fight are a team and always will be a team.

Hyosuke Kokan: Size of the Fight have been without Junior Tag Team gold for too long and now we have an opportunity to win them belts again, we will be taking that opportunity.

American Optimus: It was there for the taking, we should have won but oh no Joshuya couldn't see that, right now Joshuya-san is really dragging us down....

At that point Joshuya walks in....

Super Joshuya: I'm dragging us down, no YOU are dragging us down Optimus-san. Just think about that......

Joshuya then walks off....

American Optimus: And?!!!

~Sensational Dreams~

Match #8: Burning World Championship:

Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Sensational Dragon

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/HiroakiNakasawa-1.jpg?t=1268429324 vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SensationalDragon_jhd21.jpg

Junior Division wrestlers rarely get an opportunity to challenge for the Burning World Championship but the current Junior Division champion Sensational Dragon is getting a chance here to challenge for the biggest prize in wrestling. The only other records of this previously happening are Optimus unsuccesful change of Hooded Kudo, way back in 1997 and Elemental II's attempt at winning the belt in 2004 against Tadiyuki Kikkawa. The difference between those two challenges and this one however from Sensational Dragon, is that Dragon is still holding the Junior Championship whilst challenging for the World Title.

After the bell rings to start the match, Dragon ducks under a clotesline attempt from Nakasawa and then nails the World Champion with a springboard leg lariat. Nakasawa stays on his feet but Dragon takes the H-Bomb off his feet with a basement drop-kick and then immediately goes to nail Nakasawa with a superkick. Nakasawa manages to avoid that however by rolling out of the ring but Dragon does not let up on the pressure and goes for a springboard crossbody only to be caught in mid-air by Nakasawa who body-slams the Sensational One onto the entrance ramp.

Nakasawa then drags Dragon into the ring and decides to go for a quick cover. Dragon kicks out and Nakasawa lifts Dragon up into a verticl suplex but the Junior Champion counters that into a stunner !

Nakasawa staggers back into the corner and Dragon follows up with a running drop-kick into the corner, the Junior Champion then heads up top and takes the H-Bomb down with a missile drop-kick, before going for a cover.....

Nakasawa kicks out powerfully and then levels Dragon with a clothesline. Nakasawa then whips Dragon across the ring into the opposite corner and follows up with a charging fore-arm smash. Nakasawa then perches Dragon onto the top turnbuckle and then sets up for a superplex but Dragon manages to fight Nakasawa off and then dives off as he tries to take Nakasawa by surprise with the SENSATION SHOCK but the H-Bomb is ready for it and counters into a powerbomb that he immediately transitions into a folding pin.

Nakasawa kicks out, but is immediately nailed with a superkick from the Junior Champion. The World Champion shakes it off and then after a series of clubbing fore-arms whips Dragon across the ring but the Sensational one uses the momentum to wind up for his dizzying multi rotation arm-bar the DRAGON'S CROSS.....

Dragon had the hold locked on right in the middle of the ring, and though Nakasawa tried to shake Dragon off, the Junior Champion was relentless in his applicationm of the arm-bar and the H-Bomb droppes down to his knees

But the World Champion did find a second wind, rising back to his feet, powering his way out of the submissiom hold and then dropping Dragon with the NAKASAWA NECKBREAKER (Inverted Swinging Neckbreaker)........

Nakasawa kicked out again, barely getting his shoulder up this time but doing just enough to keep hold of the World Title and this time it got to Dragon who paced around, frustrated that he hadn't been able to put Nakasawa away.

The World Champion still remained rooted to the mat and Dragon dragged Nakasawa into position as he headed up top......Dragom then took to the air, gracefully coming off the top-rope with the DRAGON'S FIRE (Corkscrew 630 Senton)......

But Nakasawa managed to roll out of the way at the last split second and Dragon crashed and burned, but the H-Bomb was too worn down and unable to immediately turn the tide of the match as referee Koetsu Shinozaki applied to double ten count.....

Dragon despite failing to connect with the Dragon's Fire was up first, and with Nakasawa still only up to his knees went for another superkick but this time the World Champion managed to swerve out of the way and then level Dragon with a lariat from a kneeling position......

Dragon stayed on his feet, but it was enough to buy Nakasawa sometime to get back to a vertical base and the World Champion built momentum with a series of chops and fore-arms......

Dragon then staggered into a clothesline from Nakasawa that took the Junior Champion off his feet, before Nakasawa lifted Dragon up for the H-BOMB (Crucifix Powerbomb) and this time Nakasawa did manage to drive Dragon into the canvas......

Dragon managed to kick out but Nakasawa kept his focus and lifted Dragon up for second H-BOMB, only for the Junior Champion to this time slip off and then nail Nakasawa with an Enziguri before taking Nakasawa off his feet with a basement drop-kick.....

Dragon then headed up top again but Nakasawa was immediately back to his feet and took the legs out from underneath Dragon just as the Sensational One about to take to the air once again....

Nakasawa then lifted Dragon upon his shoulders again as he climbed up to the second turnbuckle......

SUPER H-BOMB (Crucifix Superbomb).......

One.......

Three !!

Nakasawa had retained the World Championship, but Sensational Dragon impressed and certainly gave a good account for himself, proving that though he may not have defeated Nakasawa for the title, he was certainly good enough to challenge for the belt.

Result: Hiroaki Nakasawa [w] bt Sensational Dragon [L] in 17:48 via pinfall (Super H-Bomb)

Hiroaki Nakasawa makes V11 defence of Burning World Championship.

Rating: B+

Onodera's Assessment: Nakasawa-san and Dragon-san put together a really exciting fast paced match, and it was clear that they work well together, which certainly bodes well for any future matches between these two. Only thing that brought down a little was the fact that despite Dragon-san's superb efforts they never really bought into him being able to pull off the upset, that may be because the match didn't really have alot of build but for a 'throwaway' title defence it delivered a very good semi main event.

Hiroaki Nakasawa: I admit Dragon-san somewhat surprised me, as he definitelty gave me a much different challenge than what I am used to, but as champion I adapted to the challenge placed in front of me and in the end I once again I showed my strength as champion and that is something I will continue to do, until someone is good enough to beat me for this title and if there best is really better than my best then they deserve to hold this (he pats the Burning World Championship belt slung over his shoulder) the greatest prize in this great sport of ours.

For once Dragon, who is never short of a word (mostly about himself) didn't actually have anything to say, after he was on the receiving end of the Super H-Bomb

~Best of the Super Juniors: The Warriors Beyond~

Match #9: BOSJ Cup Finals:

Black Cobra vs Elemental III

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BHOTWG_BSJ.jpg

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_DuaneStone_alt1.jpg vs http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalIII.jpg

It was now time for the main event, the Finals of the Best of the Super Junior tournament as Black Cobra who thus far had a perfect tournament took on the man who succesfully qualified from Block B in the runners up slot. Could Elemental III avenge his loss from Cobra, in fact could he finally pull off a win against Cobra this tour having lost to the ace gaijin wrestler on three previous occasions or would Cobra complete a perfect run and gets his hands on the BOSJ Cup for a second time.

During the pomp and ceremony of the introductions the ring is surrounded by the rest of the participants in this years cup, showcasing what it means to every Junior Division on the roster to get his hands on this coveted trophy.

The ring clears of BHOTWG president Tetsuzan Kaneko and other dignitaries, the tension, the antipation can be felt amongst both particpants and everyone in attendance, both Elemental III and Black Cobra really want to win this, their focus in on each other and doing everything they can to win the 2010 Best of the Super Juniors.

The match begins at a slow methodical pace as they lock up with a simple collar and elbow tie up....Cobra manages to slip out and takes Elemental III down to the mat with a double leg takedown, he immediatley looks for the Stone Hold but the 'Third Generation Icon' see's it coming a mile off and manages to escape that before sweeping the legs out from underneath Cobra, to take the Black Heart Brethren man down to the mat himself.

They then exchange mat wrestling holds that leads to stale mate between both sides, something that really frustrates Cobra who goes out for a powder. Elemental III keep his cool though and waits for Cobra to get back into the ring, even though 'Canadian Darkness' takes the fall twenty count to do so....

They lock up again and Cobra gets in a few fore-arm shots but Elemental III shakes them off and fires back with chops and kicks, and before the 'Third Generation Icon' can build up too much momentum Cobra once again shoots out of the ring for another powder.....

Elemental III still doesn't take the bait and waits for Cobra to get back into the ring once again. Cobra see's Elemental III goes for another kick and tries to bail out of the ring again but this time the 2008 BOSJ Cup winner pulls Cobra back and applies a waistlock but before he can deliver a suplex, Cobra sneaks in a low blow by his flicking his heel up into Elemental III's groin.

Cobra then sends Elemental III down to the mat with a drop toe hold before sliding under the ring to deliver a fore-arm smash, Cobra then puls Elemental III out over the apron and then backs up as he looks to deliver a running drop-kick to the 'Third Generation Icon's head'...

But Elemental III pulls away at the last split second and Cobra just ends up kicking a load of air and falling on his back side.....Cobra then struggles back up to his feet only to get wiped out with Elemental III's trademark Elemental Space Flying Drop (no hands somersault plancha) that sends both of them sprawling into the crowd.....

As their must be a winner, the double count doesn't apply and a countout only applies when one of them gets back into the ring...Elemental III is able to do that first and referee Omura Umeki begins to count out Black Cobra.

Cobra gets back to his feet with the count up to fifteen, so Elemental III decides to go for the Elemental Space Flying Drop for a second time, but that proves to be a rash decision as Cobra moves out of the way and Elemental III crashes and burns as he goes to that well once too often.

Cobra then stomps away on Elemental III and even brings down a chair across the 'Third Generation Icon's legs.....leaving the popular Burning Sekigun man writhing in agony......

Cobra isn't done though as he tosses Elemental III back over the guard-rail and sends the 2008 BOSJ Cup winner into the ring-steps. Cobra then drags Elemental III onto the entrance ramp and then turns over his weakend opponent into a STONE HOLD (Sharpshooter)......

He can't make Elemental III tap out there, as the match isn't falls count anywhere but he could certainly do enough damage to 'cripple' Elemental III enough to not being able to get back into the ring and beat a twenty count.....

Feeling he had done enough to do just that the ruthless Black Cobra let go of the Stone Hold and rolled back into the ring, before referee Omura Umeki once again applied a twenty count.....

SEVENTEEN....

EIGHTEEN.....

Only now was Elemental III just beginning to stir......

NINETEEN......

TWEN.......

Elemental III managed to dive in at the last split second to save his chances of winning the Best of the Super Juniors for a second time. Cobra was obviously frustrated but with Elemental III still barely able to move was still in full control.....

In fact Cobra got c0cky as he slapped Elemenal III across the face and taunted the 'Third Generation icon' to get up...that fired Elemental III up who fired back with some punches from his knees, which did begin to back Cobra up but as he began to rise back to his feet he was taken off his feet with a simple back heel trip from Cobra who then looked to get Elemental III turned over once again for the Stone Hold but Elemental III saw that coming and though his legs were weak he managed to kick Cobra off......

Cobra charged back immediately with a running knee but Elemental III managed to move out of the way and took Cobra by surprise with a quick roll up.....

One.....

Two.......

Cobra kicked out and then immediately took back control with a series of clubbing blows to Elemental III's back, 'Canadian Darkness' then looked to be setting up for the DEATH BY COBRA but Elemental III was able to counter that with a back body drop, but that was only able to provide brief respite for the 'Third Generation Icon' as Cobra got right back up to his feet and nailed Elemental III with a drop-kick that sent the Burning Sekigun fan favourite into the corner.

Cobra then followed up with a series of chops in the corner before perching Elemental III onto the top turnbuckle. 'Canadian Darkness' then looked for a superplex but Elemental III remained determined to stay in the match and managed to fight Cobra off with a flurry of fore-arms that sent the Black Heart Brethren man down to the mat.....

Then as Cobra got back up to his feet Elemental III lept off to drill Cobra into the mat with a Tornado DDT......

But the 'Third Generation icon' was too worn down to follow up with an immediate cover and both men layed sprawled on the mat, catching their breath back and regaining their senses.....

Both hobbled back up at the same time and then unloaded on one another with fore-arms and chops....Elemental III began to build some momentum, landing more shots and with the feeling coming back to his legs he rocked Cobra with a roundhouse kick, that left 'Canadian Darkness' dazed enough for Elemental III to then plant Cobra into the canvas with an ELEMENTAL SUPLEX (Double Arm German Suplex)......

One.....

Two.....

Thr......

Cobra kicked out but remained rooted to the mat and Elemental III decided to head up top but the 2007 BOSJ Cup winner was playing possum and as Elemental III steadied himself on the top turbuckle Cobra sprang back up to then race up the turnbuckles and send Elemental crashing back into the ring with a release belly to back superplex !

Cobra then waited for Elemental III to stagger back up to his feet before snapping off a spinning headscissors that he immediately transitioned into the ALABASTER AGONY (Leg Hook Spinning Headscissors Arm Bar) but Elemental III managed to fight off the submission by clasping his hands together and then in show of strenght lifting Cobra up to then powerbomb 'Canadian Darkness' against the turnbuckle, forcing Cobra to release the hold but then collpapsing to the mat himself out ouf sheer exhaustion.

Elemental III was able to pick himself back up first however, as Cobra remained propped agains the turbuckle, the 'Third Generation Icon' then came charging in but Cobra was 'playing possum' and managed to move out of the way, sliding under the ring apron before nailing Elemental III with an Eniguiri.

Cobra then raced over to the opposite turnbuckle to then stun Elemental III further with a leaping fore-arm smash into the corner. Elemental III then staggered out of the corner right into a STONEPLEX (Bridging Northenr Lights Suplex) from Cobra.......

One......

Two......

Thr.......

Elemental III managed to kick out before a frustrated Cobra stomped away on the 2008 BOSJ Cup winner, before dragging Elemental III into position to head up top......

Cobra then took flight with the FROM CANADA WITH LOVE (Swandive Headbutt) it looked as though Elemental III was managed to move out of the way just in time but Cobra still managed to land a glancing blow and went for the cover......

One......

Two......

Thr......

Elemental III kicked out again, and one had to think had Cobra managed to land full contact with the Diving Headbutt upon Elemental III, whether or not the 'Third Generation Icon' would have been able to kick out.

Cobra then dragged Elemental III back up to his feet and set up for the DEATH BY COBRA, but it was though Elemental III was waiting for that, slipping out of the double wrist clutch and then countering into reverse STO before applying the ELEMENTAL CLUTCH (Koji Clutch) right in the centre of the ring......

Cobra immediately tried to struggle back to his feet but Elemental III was steadfast in his application of the submission hold. Referee Umeki checked on Cobra's condition, as 'Canadian Darkness' began to fade.......

Umeki raised Cobra's arm up for the first time......

No response.......

He raises Cobra's arm up for a second time.....

Still no response.......

Umeki gives Cobra one last chance to respond......

Cobra is able to do just that, as he come backs to life and then drags his and Elemental III's bodies across the ring to force the rope break.....

Elemental III kept the pressure on after the rope-break and after a flurry of chops, reeled Cobra in to set up for the EARTH BREAKER (Double Underhook Powerbomb) but Cobra managed to block the attempt and then after sneaking in a knee shot to Elemental III's groin quickly countered into the DEATH BY COBRA (Double Wrist Clutch Powerbomb)....

One.....

Two.....

Thr......

Cobra had made the cover just too near the ropes and Elemental III was able to reach out and grab the bottom rope to save the match.

Cobra continued to swing the momentum back his way however whipping Elemental III into the corner and then following up with a leaping fore-arm smash, Cobra then dragged the dazed Elemental III up with him to the top turnbuckle as he appeared to be setting up for an Avalanche DEATH BY COBRA...

But the 'Third Generation Icon' countered into a hurrucanrana, sending both men crashing back down hard to the mat......

As both staggered back up to their feet Elemental III was able to regain the momentum with a leg lariat, before peppering Black Cobra with the Tri-Fecta Kick Series, which left Cobra dazed enough to be driven into the canvas with the EARTH BREAKER

One.......

Two......

Thr.......

Cobra managed to keep his hopes alive by kicking out but he remained firmly rooted to the canvas and Elemental III headed up top........

INFERNO SPLASH (Corkscrew 450 Splash).......

But Cobra got the knees up and then took the stunned Elemental III down with a double leg take-down....

'Canadian Darkness' then looked to turn Elemental III over into the STONE HOLD (Sharpshooter) but all of a sudden Elemental III caught Cobra's ankle and countered into an ANKLE HOLDO.......

Cobra tried to power his way up to his feet but Elemental III dragged him back down and then grapevined the leg !!!

The Black Heart Brethren man again tried to struggle free but the 'Third Generation Icon' wasn't letting go and he had Cobra trapped right in the middle of the ring.....

The pain was etched across Cobra's face, his hand was quivering.........

BLACK COBRA TAPS !! BLACK COBRA TAPS !!

Referee Omura Umeki calls for the bell....Elemental III had done it, the Third Generation icon had finally got the better of Black Cobra this tour and claims his second Best of the Super Juniors Cup in three years.

Result: Elemental III [w] bt Black Cobra [L] in 36:07 via submission (Ankle Holdo)

Elemental III wins the Best of the Super Juniors Cup (2 Time Champion)

Rating: A*

Onodera's Assessment: Elemental III and Black Cobra have produced great matches against each other throughout this tour and they really bring the best out of one another, it was this chemistry they have as opponents that I must say influenced me to have them in the final together and it was planned just before the start of the tournament that Cobra would beat Elemental III during the Block Stage and look virtually unstoppable before Elemental III would pull out the big win the final...the idea of the Ankle Hold counter was something Elemental III and Cobra came up with together and I had to say it was absolute genius. Their previous matches this tour were all excellent but they took it to a new level here, in a match that will be remembered as a classic for years to come.

Elemental IIII proudly receives the Best of the Super Juniors Cup from Tetsuzan Kaneko, plus the giant sized 500,000 cheque the winner always receives for winning the tournament, as he soaks in the applause of the fans.....

The 'Third Generation Icon' then poses with the cup and the giant cheque, with the rest of this Best of the Super Juniors Cup entrants, including a weary Black Cobra....

The ring clears and Elemental III is given a microphone for a victory speech.....

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalIII.jpg

Elemental III: You know what there were times when I thought that Black Cobra would get the better of me again, but I pulled through them and I showed that I truly am the Best of the Super Juniors. Cobra-san took me to the limit, but inspired by you fans, my own inner determination and the legacy of this great mask that I wear, I showed that I was stronger....Elemental III like Elemental II and Elemental II before him was destined to make history and tonight that is what I did.

Black Cobra then rolls into the ring with a microphone of his own, interrupting Elemental III's victory speech !!

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_DuaneStone_jhdTK1.jpg?t=1280446349

Black Cobra: You know what Elemental-san, that mask you wear is one of the proudest legacy's in the history of not only Burning Hammer but also this great sport....

The crowd are wondering where Cobra is going with this, is the usually disrespectful Black Heart Brethren member about to his disgrace himself and insult the Elemental legacy?

..... Because tonight, you did that legacy proud....You deserved to win tonight, you were better than me and it takes alot to earn my respect but tonight you have earned it.

Cobra then bows his head in front of Elemental III , drops the microphone and departs from the ring.

The crowd are more stunned by this this development than Cobra acting like a sore loser.

Elemental III seems a little taken a back too, before regaining his composure to close out the show doing the usual the spiel Hiroaki Nakasawa normally does at every PPV for thanking the fans for their support of not just himself as a wrestler but for BHOTWG as a whole.

Rating: B

Overall: B+

Onodera's Viewpoint: For me this was an excellent close to the tour, and I was proud of the effoert put out there by the roster tonight. I again scratch my head at the Overall Grade, put forth by ARSEHOLES, as felt the show was deserving of an A but I can sleep easy tonight proud of the show we put out there.

* O.O.C Note: Seriously the overall grade, really gets my goat sometimes ..... A* main event, B+ semi main, strong B+ opener an A in the midcard, generally solid throughout...for *****sake give me an A already !!:p

Well that delivered! Fantastic show, TK. Just really delivered all the way around.

Nice to see The Rebellion take the tag belts... but I'm really looking forward to see how they balance being the tag champions with their solo ambitions.

The Burning World champinship match was great. I never had any expectation you would put the belt onto a super junior, even one as talented as Sensational Dragon... yet reading your match write-up still made it tense. Fantastic work on that.

The main event was everything it should have been. Awesome to get the A* match grade, but even more importantly, you gave us a write-up that matched that level. I was really hoping to see Black Cobra pull it out but the EIII win was great. Especially the after-match comments.

As I said before, the build up to this was great, but a nice build-up doesn't count much if you can't deliver the payoff. You did that and more.

Fantastic show, TK. My predictions sucked - you can tell I'm out of practice! :D

Interesting to see where things go now - you're doing a great job of keeping some interesting story and faction developments going despite it being an almost entirely in-ring product.

Only negative for me is that I've never really got into Elemental III so him winning the Super Juniors was a bit of a let-down personally, but I can certainly see why you went that way and it made very good booking sense.

In general , thanks for the comments and I'm pleased to see so many of you enjoyed the PPV :)

Now just to answer a few questions....

Nice to see The Rebellion take the tag belts... but I'm really looking forward to see how they balance being the tag champions with their solo ambitions.

My inspiration for how I'm handling The Rebellion, is how Dragon Gate handled Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino for years until their recent break up. Still have them as a strong team and as the benchmark for tag team excellence but also have them be strong in singles competion as well.

The main event was everything it should have been. Awesome to get the A* match grade, but even more importantly, you gave us a write-up that matched that level. I was really hoping to see Black Cobra pull it out but the EIII win was great. Especially the after-match comments.

The post match comments and show of respect from Black Cobra to Elemental III will be of course be heading somewhere.

Interesting to see where things go now - you're doing a great job of keeping some interesting story and faction developments going despite it being an almost entirely in-ring product.

I got round that by using the post match comments, which is very much the presentation style used for angles on the way wrestling is presented on Japanese TV. I'll be honest here I am a performance over popularity, an in ring over angles type of wrestling fan but I do like some form of storylines aswell, rather than wrestling being treated purely as a 'sport'.

Only negative for me is that I've never really got into Elemental III so him winning the Super Juniors was a bit of a let-down personally, but I can certainly see why you went that way and it made very good booking sense.

Well your favourites, can't always win can they :p Seriously though, I will actually admit that Elemental III has lacked a character so far other than him being the third guy to wear the Elemental mask, but I feel at least during the Best of the Super Juniors tournament I have begun to get over, the legacy of the Elemental mask and Number Three's determination to live up to it.

I'll be honest here now, the original plan wasn't for Elemental III to win the cup, but the great matches with Black Cobra changed that, as I knew i those two could deliver an excellent main event and the storyline there just naturally evolved

The Onodera Diaries:

Inferno of Purity came in with a 1.15 buy rate which is a little bit up from Sword of Destiny. Due to the Best of the Super Juniors cup being such a strong focus throughout June, the build towards Inferno of Purity is always a little more on the fly than those other PPV's and thus the build is never really as strong as it could be, as event Inferno of Purity is sold on how much the fans are really into the BOSJ Cup that year. As the buy-rate had increased on our previous offerings, it does look like that the cup did capture their interest.

It was in fact a strong competion this year and one that ended with a fantastic finals match between Black Cobra and Elemental III. They put together something really special , and I'm sure it will be remembered as a classic amongst fans of not just Burning Hammer, not just great Junior Heavyweight competion, but Puro in general in years to come.

Eiji Hamacho made his return at the PPV, under his new Mister Macho alter-ego. It's hard to say how long we intend to have him keep this gimmick, but for now we're going to have some fun with it. Make no mistake BHOTWG takes it's puro very seriously but we feel there is room to perhaps have a little fun too, do you not think?

Kanishoki who has left BHOTWG in the loser of the fall, leaves match between Universal Excellence and The Behemoths, hasn't actually left but he has been sent down to Hinote Dojo to well 'improve' basically. We aren't going to insult the fans intelligence and bring him up straight away and he will be down in Hinote for the whole of the next tour, if not the tour after that in the new year. Out of the two, Kanishoki's actually the better backstage precence, and very personable to get on with but saying that he is still at this stage an absolutely terrible wrestler. Yuasha's not exactly the second coming of Tadiyuki Kikkawa but is the better of the two and has put in the time more, to the point that he is probably more likely to kick up a stink being sent down to Hinote than Kanishioki at the this stage.

It also breaks up The Behemoths, who in my opinion were a dreadful tag team who never should have held the belts. Part of the reason for having The Rebelliion regain the World Tag Team Titles at the end of the tour is that hopefully they can help restore the prestige of the belts that were damaged by awful runs from the likes of The Behemoths and a past their sell by date Snow Lizzard before them. As much as I respect the job Iesada-san did before me, he as guilty as his predecessors at mistreating the Tag Team Division in Burning Hammer of the years.

Black Magic won the belts off The Behemoths at the start of the tour, as they were a powerhouse duo that the fans could buy into beating the 'monsters' who were at this stage admittedly still being booked fairly strong. I will hold my hands up that post their title reign, I had no qualms about gradually burying the 'worst tag team champs' in Burning Hammer History. Taira-san and Masuno-san did a solid job as the champs on this tour, but they were never going to restore the division to former glories and I'm hoping that another Rebellion reign, especially with Shimedzu-san and Miyamae-san's rise in rank not just as a team but as individuals can help to do just that.

New Talent

El Serpiente: Serpiente is a promising youngster, who is part of the new breed of luchadors taking the Lucha Libre style to new levels of high speed/high risk action. At this stage of his career he shows natural flair but lacks consistency.

Kamikaze Christian Vars: The 19 year old from Toronto, is the very definition of a spot monkey, coming from a background of gymastics (where he competed as an amateur up until 18) he has the ability to pull off some jaw dropping high risk moves but at this stage doesn't appear to have developed the performance skills to logically bring them into his matches. In fact he's just the sort of wrestler that will thrill and irritate crowds in equal measure.

Mark Griffin: A star Amateur wrestler in College, Griffin then went on to train at the World famous House of Stone Dojo. Already showcasing stellar performance skills for someone at this age, it is no surprise to see him graduate from the House of Stone to earning a spot on the NOTBPW roster.

Rinataro Yoshimatsu: Yoshimatsu is a teenage sports reporter who has gained recoginition as a solid announcer at several college sports events across Japan and is looking to move into the world of Professional wrestling. Has decent announcing skills but is unlikely to find himself picked up by any of the major promotions in Japan at this stage.

Injuries

Blood Raven: The SOTBPW worker, who also works for WLW in Japan as Ketsueki Karasu, is struggling with a reverberating bicep and is expected to be out of action for the next month.

Namboku Makuda: GCG midcarder has picked up a swollen calf muscle, luckily for GCG and Makuda they will be going on their off season and he should return to fitness when GCG return to action in September.

Worker Retirements:

Dick The Devastator: The legendary brawler, who was in his prime during the 1970's has called time on his career in the wrestling business at the Age of 65. A member of the Hall of Immortals, Dick was best known for his involvement with the AAFW promotion where he was the owner, head booker and the promotions main star winning the promotions main title a staggering 18 times between 1968 and 1978 during a decade of dominance. After the AAFW was brought out by the SWF, Dick went onto form a popular tag team with Japanese brawler Saonij Omura and the pair became cult favourites on both the North American and Japanese wrestling circuits. In 1995 at the Age of 50, Dick the Devastator called time on his in-ring career and for the past decade has settled in Japan where he has worked as a road agent most notably for the GCG promotion.

Land Mass: The super heavyweight calls time (mercifully many will say) on his in ring career at the Age of 46. Mass had a brief run in the SWF during the late 80's as monster heel, but he failed to rise above midcard status once his reliance on his aura as an oversized monster had worn enough. He then went onto have mild success as part of a couple of monster heel tag teams, firstly with Mammoth in CGC and then more recently with The Big Problem in NYCW.

Elijah Harris: The former SCCW mainstay has hung up his wrestling boots at the Age of 47. Harris first made his name during the dying days of the Texas Wrestling League as a heel under the name of Elijah Black but it was when he switched to his real name and as a popular babyface during a five year stint with Southern Class Championship Wrestling that he enjoyed the best run of his careeer that even took in him winning SCCW's main singles championship. However since SCCW closed down he has failed to find regular work with a 'name' promotion and for the past decade has drifted on the independent circuit.

Stable warfare has been rife in BHOTWG for years, here is a look at the successes and the shake-ups amongst each of the Hammer's factions in their battle for supremacy. In part one we look at the Burning Sekigun....

Leader: Hiroaki Nakasawa

Members: Kinnojo Horri, Tadakuni Toshusai, Elemental III, Marihito Masuko, Hyosuke Kokan, Kansuke Konda, Sanetomo Shiraishi, Sessue Kawate, Mister Macho ?

Former Members: Super Joshuya

Championships Held: World Championship (Hiroaki Nakasawa), Junior Tag Team (Elemental III & Marihito Masuko: March 2010), Elemental III (Best of the Super Juniors Cup)

The Burning Sekigun are the largest stable in Burning Hammer and are basically representing the honor of BHOTWG. The Sekigun did have a few tense moments during the Burn, Don't Freeze Tour but have remained more or less in tact, with the only loss being junior division veteran Super Joshuya's low key deferral to the Dragon Feet 2K9 stable.

The closest the Sekigun came to having trouble in their ranks is when Kinnojo Horri challenged Hiroaki Nakasawa for the World Title in May. Tensions were running high back then and though their differences were resolved after Nakasawa succesful retention of the World Championship, one has to wonder how much longer Horri (a former World Champion in his own right) is prepared to play number 2 to Nakasawa's Number 1 in the Sekigun.

Midcard heavyweights Tadakuni Toshusai and Takayuki Onodera formed the tandem that was to become Wild Fire, as they engaged in an intense feud with Black Magic that saw them come up short of being able to win the Burning World Tag Team Titles despite some valiant efforts.

Your New Heroes (Elemental III and Marihito Masuko) lost the Junior Tag Team Titles to the Black Heart Flying Squadron at Fire Dream of the Immortals and for the most part they both re-set their sights on gaining singles gold within the Junior Division. Elemental III did just that at the end of the tour as he won the Best of the Super Juniors cup beating out Black Cobra in the finals. Size of the Fight (Hyosuke Kokan & Kansuke Konda) set their sights on regaining the Junior Tag Team Titles but were unsuccesful in doing so.

Meanwhile veterans Super Joshuya and Snow Lizzard (Sanetomo Shiraishi & Sessue Kawate) remained largely peripheral figures as part of the Burning Sekigun. Joshuya did something about that by defecting to Dragon Feet 2K9 but Snow Lizzard saw their standing in BHOTWG slip further as they spent much of the tour working the pre-show slot, whilst Wild Fire were pushed as the Sekigun's premier Tag Team.

At Inferno of Purity Mister Macho (Eiji Hamacho) was revealed as the mystery partner of Kinnojo Horri and Marihito Masuko in their six man tag match agains the INSPIRE trio of Iesada, Pathlow & Sanda. It remains to be seen if the 'reborn' former RAGE leader will become a permanent member of the Sekigun heading into Burning Hammer's next tour.
