StealthGD
USA - 15 Canada - 3 UK - 5 Japan -5 Europe - 3 Australia - 3 Europe - 3 As I said in my New Power is Rising thread I am putting my mod on hold until I can turn it into something I feel is fully ready. As someone who mainly focusing on watching WWE I'm not too clued up on the independent scene. So what I would like is a list of top promotions in each country (number of promotions is too right of name). I have look on the web but can't find one so was wondering if you guys could help. I want to use the data I have and any new I create to have a total of 37 promotions. I will then build onto that base and add more later. I want at least 3 in each area so people in those countries can have competition. Thanks,
Linsolv
The top 2 in Japan are easily NJPW and AJPW. Then you have a little bit of wiggle room, IMO -- Since I don't really like hardcore wrestling, and I know there's a lot of that in Japan, I can't say. I know that NOAH is getting big. - In the US, the top 3 are (based on what I've seen): 1) WWE 2) TNA (and far behind, by the way) 3) ROH (The only other folks I know of with a national TV show) Then you get into Full Impact Pro, Pro Wrestling Guerrila, Chikara, Shimmer, Florida Championship Wrestling... that's all I know; those might not be in the top 15, but those are the ones I know. Nedew
If you don't know about a promotion or it's workers, please don't add it. That's just more convoluted and unsure data. Mod what you know, please.
MrCanada
How I'd rank them without thinking much about it! USA: 1. WWE 2. TNA 3. ROH 4. WWC 5. really opens up. not many other promotions draw large numbers that consistantley) Canada: 1. Maximum Pro Wrestling (new combination of BCW and BSE) 2. Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling 3. Prairie Wrestling Alliance Japan: 1. NJPW 2. AJPW 3. NOAH 4. IGF (when they run) 5. DG 6. Zero1 Mexico: 1. AAA 2. CMLL

Mod what you know, please. The data I have is pretty reliable; FutureLegend did a great job long with what I have added. I am not asking about the promotions just what order they should be in as of rank. I do appreciate your input though.
Linsolv
Sorta off topic, but what's with Zero1? I saw an event of theirs from a few years ago, but finding DVDs, videos on the web, anything -- there doesn't seem to be anything since like 2002. I looked on the web, and they're still running shows, it's just apparently not being recorded or sold.

ROH has a national TV show? when, what channel?
Linsolv
It's on HDNet. It's a "premium" channel, but gets national coverage with most major cable and sattelite providers (if you're paying for it). It's on Saturday nights. That said, that's more than OVW, more than FIP, Chikara...

Think they switched it a few months ago... could be wrong though.

Well, I switched carriers and didn't get HDNet on the new provider, around that time. I found the show about 2 weeks before we switched, so I was kinda sad.
