Great moments are born out of opportunity.

And thats what we have here at TNA.

That is what we have earned here at TNA.

Can we live in that moment?

Some of you think we will fail.

Some of you wish we will fail.

We will not forget the fans.

We are not intimated by the size of some promotions.

The glamor, the glitter, we do not fear.

We remember what got us here.

As we focus on the fundamentals

We accept the responsibility to protect this sport, this form of entertainment, our fans.

We are TNA.

My name is Dana White. No not that Dana White from the UFC. And I have known the Jarrett's for years. My Dad worked Jeff's dad back in Memphis back in the 80's. I even did some errand work for him myself back in the 90's for the USWA. And when the idea that Jeff had on the fateful fishing trip back in 2001, I was supposed to be there. But due to blind luck I was not able to attend.

Jeff and myself stayed in contact over the years. And I watched the early years of the birth of Total Nonstop Wrestling when it was a weekly pay per view show. I watched it develop into what it is now. I think I could track the bad booking when it was on the Fox Sports network. As it was forced to cram as much talent as it could into an hour show.

Let the train wreck commence. Missed opportunities compiled. The rants started to out weigh the raves. And many in the industry started to view TNA as WWE light. I started pitching different ideas to Jeff shortly afterwards. Some he accepted, others he simply told me no “slapnut.”

It was sometime in 2005 when I started unofficially with TNA. Talked openly with Dixie Carter and the rest of the creative team. And I was invited to sit in on several creative meetings. Moral in the back however started to bottom out. Many felt it was Jeff himself who was holding down the talent. And many outside the organization viewed his reigns as NWA World champion as self serving.

Only Jeff could polarize the masses to that kind of hate. Yes the man was stubborn as an ox. But the man ate, breathed, and slept this business. He has spent his entire life in the business in some compacity or another. So if he had become jaded and held people down, it was because he has spent years in this business and doesn't know any better.

Then came December 2005. I pitched an idea that Jarrett should step down as booker. Jeff was shocked that I would suggest such an idea. I explained that politics not by Jeff directly are ruining the backstage area. People are refusing to put others over. This was not Jarrett's fault. But the fault of us as a whole. We are forgetting that story lines take time to develop. Not to be rushed in a 3 week span, recycled and rinsed to repeat for the next cycle. And we should put someone who is not a wrestler, but a liaison between the workers and creative. A person who would see to it that proper story lines could meet the expectations of not only from the workers, but from the creative team. But not get caught up in the politics.

I was offered the position, but I initially turned it down. They needed someone with experience. Jeff Jarrett told me the only way he would step down would be for me to assume the role. I only threw out ideas. Some stuck, some sucked. I felt as if I was an independent consultant in a way. Dixie Carter chimed in by telling me since many in the back knew of me anyways, and since I had put together various story lines in the past I might as well give it a go.

If I was to step in I wanted a lot of creative room, they complied. I also said I will be pushing to get out of the Impact Zone. That one drew their attention, but eventually relented. And I wanted to change production values and product presentation slightly. I explained the thing that made us different in our early days was that we presented wrestling. It was OK to have the sports entertainment angles, but our focus was wrestling. Production values should be increased because we are viewed as a second rate company. Lets start acting like we are on of the big boys and fake it till we make it. Little things like better quality DVD's, minor band involvement for our themes. And at times maybe even pay to use some of the bigger named bands. While we are discussing it lets open up the wallets and help our workers get to these events that we pay them to show up to. Have some increased amenities in the backstage area. If we ever expect to have the bigger names show up we had to treat our employees first class. In return we demanded first class performance and behavior.

Will all of this make a difference? Will we sink or swim? Time will tell. But let the adventure begin.

<p>Before the start of the show I am backstage walking, OK more like pacing the walkways in the back. I have that kinda raw nervous energy. I pass the locker room and hear and ruckus. “Oh no you didn't old man. I'm gonna kick you're ***!” I poked my head in the door to see what is going on and find Sting and Alex Shelley going at it on some game console. There was a crowd watching from behind them, some cheering Sting, others for Shelley. Cristian Cage walked out and I asked what is going on. He told me that old man Sting has been sandbagging this entire time and is running rough shod over everybody on that dumb game. If he wasn't so unlucky it would be Him and Shelley going for the hundred bucks. Not Sting and Shelley. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Good, the boys are trying to gel together. Might as well do something since I started to enforce the rule of being three hours early to make sure everybody learns their lines. As I got close by the Gorilla Position I closed my eyes. Were we prepared? Did I have all of the slots covered? Even though the overall product was already preset I had ad libbed a few segments to enter in some of my story lines. I closed my eyes and thought to myself for a moment. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ME:</strong> Get Lynn and D'Amore now!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Both arrived seconds later but those seconds seemed like a life time.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>D'Amore:</strong> Whats wrong? Whats going on?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Lynn:</strong> He's just got cold feet.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Me:</strong> No, not cold feet. The Gorilla position is an important position. Here is your copies of our script tonight. I have to be out there to see how some of my segments are coming across. If I am here, I cant tell if they are coming across like I want. You two have been in this position before. I trust you guys to be professional and do your jobs. You both still have an uncanny ability to tell when that right moment is to send somebody out. Follow the script, use your experience and we will be fine.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Both were completely shocked as I just handed over the keys to the car to them. Time will tell If I did the right thing.</p>

Dark segments.

Included a singles match and a tag match. Both had solid action.

Show

1) The show opens with the usual fan fare, Pryo, scan the audience and Mike Tenay welcomes us to Impact. As Mike and Don talk about us being two weeks away from Final Resolution, Jeff Jarrett's music plays cutting them off. Jeff Jarrett brags about being The King of the Mountain. Sting's music plays and he steps out to the ramp. The two argue back and forth and Sting coaxes a match out of Jarrett for the title tonight.

Rated: B-

2) NWA/TNA World Tag Team Title

America's Most Wanted © VS. Team Canada

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Team Canada defeated America's Most Wanted in 7:42 when Bobby Roode defeated James Storm by pinfall with a Payoff after a distraction from Brother Devon. During the match we also had Brother Ray distract Chris Harris. Team Canada win the NWA World Tag Team titles.

Winners: Team Canada

Rated: C-

3) Mike Tenay tells us we have new NWA TNA World Tag Team champions, Team Canada wins the belts for the third time due to Team 3D's interference on America's Most Wanted. We are then informed that The James Gang are backstage with J.B. The James Gang cut a backstage promo. They are getting a little tired of being over looked. BG James tells us that The James Gang have been here longer than Team 3d. They respect them, but their time has come and gone. We should get a crack at the tag belts. Kip says if your not down with that you can suck it.

Rated: C+

4)Alex Shelley VS Hiroshi Tanahashi

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Alex Shelley defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in 6:02 by submission with a Border City Stretch.

Winner: Alex Shelley

Rated: C+

5) Elix Skipper VS Jay Lethal

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Elix Skipper defeated Jay Lethal in 5:54 by pinfall.

Elix Skipper

Rated: D+

6) Christopher Daniels VS Lance Hoyt

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Christopher Daniels defeated Lance Hoyt in 5:50 by pinfall with a Last Rites.

Winner: Christopher Daniels

Rated: C

7) Ron Killings is backstage with J.B. He tells us 2006 has arrived and its a brand new year. With brand new goals. He wants to be champion again.

Rated: C

8) Austin Aries & Roderick Strong VS The James Gang

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The James Gang defeated Austin Aries & Roderick Strong in 6:30 when Kip James defeated Austin Aries by pinfall with a Spike Piledriver.

Rated: B-

Mike Tenay and Don West tells what a great match that was between The James Gang and Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. Maybe The James Gang was correct with what they said earlier. Maybe they should be given a title shot. Tag team wrestling is diffidently alive here in TNA as the young team of Aries and Strong showed promise. We still have plenty of action left folks so don't turn that dial. We still have Sting and Jeff Jarrett for the main event.

9)Petey Williams VS Sonjay Dutt

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Petey Williams defeated Sonjay Dutt in 5:49 by pinfall with a Canadian Destroyer.

Petey Williams

Rated: C

Mike Tenay and Don West say that Abyss will be in a match next and talk about how Abyss and Rhino have been skirmishing for the last couple of weeks. Abyss seems to be on a roll as of late and he is focused. But don't rule out Chris Sabin as he can be dangerous in his own right.

10) Abyss VS Chris Sabin

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Abyss defeated Chris Sabin in 5:33 by pinfall with a Black Hole Slam.

Abyss

Rated: C+

11) After a match, Abyss tries to attack Chris Sabin, but Rhino runs in and makes the save, sending Abyss through a table to the delight of the crowd.

Rated: B-

12)Jeff Hardy and A.J. Styles VS Raven and Monty Brown

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Jeff Hardy and A.J. Styles defeated Raven and Monty Brown in 9:34 when Jeff Hardy defeated Raven by pinfall with a Swanton Bomb.

Jeff Hardy and A.J. Styles

Rated: C-

13) Backstage, Christian Cage confronts Sting. He wants to know what right does Sting have to the world title. And remember one thing, Cage was never pinned to lose the title to begin with. Sting tells Cage he wants to bring honor and dignity back to the world title. But after Sting wins it tonight he will give Cage first crack. Cage says we will see about that. He is used to being screwed over. First it was up north now as of late its here in TNA.

Rated: B+

14) NWA/TNA World Heavyweight Title

Jeff Jarrett © VS Sting

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Jeff Jarrett defeated Sting in 11:44 by pinfall with a Stroke after a distraction from Christian Cage. Who had come down to scout both men. Jeff Jarrett makes defense number 1 of his NWA World Heavyweight title.

Jeff Jarrett

Rated: B

15) After a match, Sting and Jeff Jarrett are brawling in the ring. Annoyed at being shoved out ring by Jeff Jarrett, Christian Cage storms the ring and lays Jarrett and Sting both out with a chair. He yells I never got pinned to lose that belt as the show comes to a close.

Rated: B+

Overall B-

Well that went well I thought. I strolled back to the backstage area and there was just a positive atmosphere back there. Jeff Jarrett seen me and started to walk towards me with a upset look on his face. Great , now what did I do? As he approached me he began to have a smirk on his face and shook my hand. Nice show he said.

He did however asked me why I wasn't in the Gorilla. I told him the same response I gave Lynn and D'Amore.

Jeff Jarrett: Why didn't you include Armstrong? He's been around a long time as well.

Me: You know what I didn't think about him? I always thought he enjoyed his job in the back going over ring action than anything else. I think I need to go talk with him and get his thoughts.

I left Jarrett and searched for Bob Armstrong. Finally found him as he was over seeing the gear being stored. I asked him for a moment of his time. After barking out a few last orders on how to dismantle the ring he acknowledged me.

I asked him how he thought the show went. Bob responded it was fine however we might think to increase some workers to help with the gear on set up and dismantling. I guess I didn't think about that and apologized as it was an oversight on my part.

Bob Armstrong: If you are here to ask if I'm upset you didn't have me in the Gorilla you can save your breath. I have been out tough to the timing involved with that aspect.

Me: Bob, that is why I am here and I just wanted to show some respect to you and the years of service you have had to this industry. I had always figured you to be happy with the boys setting up for the show and helping them with ring work. Just do me one favor if you would? Anytime you want to be in the Gorilla you tell me.

Bob Armstrong: You know your going to have to sit in on that position don't ya?

Me: No I don't. It's always been for wrestlers or someone who had a wrestling background.

Bob Armstrong: Kid, your fooling yourself if you think that. Your dad did it back in the day. And he had great feel for the timing.

Me: One day perhaps but I'm trying to make sure the story lines are running better.

Bob Armstrong: See thats where you and the others fall flat. You think its storyline this, talk about that. Its wrestling son. The action in the ring. Thats what they pay to see.

I left Bob shortly after that to think about what he said. I don't know if I agreed 100% with what he had said. If that was the case ROH would be doing better. Still something to think about.

I decided my office was getting a little cluttered. OK it was cluttered. I began to sort out piles of paper work, folders, and tapes into different piles. There was a knock on the door.

Me: Enter.

Bob Armstrong: Hello boss. Got a minute?

Me: Sure, whats up?

Bob Armstrong: All the hustle and bustle over the last couple of weeks has got me thinking. I signed on to TNA while back because it had a great schedule. I drove down here on Sunday, worked a day or two, then drive back home. I am just to old to travel around like some kid anymore. The plans you have laid out is clearly gong to conflict with that schedule. And thats not a knock at you. I think you have the potential to take this company to the next level. But me on the other hand, is another story. I have enjoyed my time here, but I was thinking of retiring from the business.

Me: Bob the last thing in the world I want to do is push you out the door. But you know that wrestling is in your blood. You sure your making the right choice?

Bob Armstrong: Yeah. It's time for this ole cuss to step aside and let the new bulls run the yard.

Me: Well Mr. Armstrong I respect your decision. I may not like it, but I will respect it. Sorry to see you leave. You always were rock solid with your advise and how you conducted yourself.

Bob Armstrong: Well I'm gonna give you one last bit of advise. Don't forget your roots.

Bob Armstrong is a curious creature. He can be warm but yet direct. And when he is telling a story there is usually a lesson to be learned in each tale he spins. “ Don't forget my roots.” Thanks Bob, now I'm gonna have to spend the rest of the day self psychological analyzing that. Why do people do that to me?

Final Resolution.

The depths of ones exploration into the worlds immortality can be measured.

By the choices they make.

And the chances they take.

For the athletes competing at Final Resolution it is the next step of immortality.

Will be by capturing the moment and seizing the opportunity.

The road of immortality will unfold before our eyes.

A trial of courage.

A journey of sacrifice.

A Final Resolution.

The James Gang have been saying the deserve a shot for the NWA/ TNA Tag Team Championship. At Final Resolution they get their chance as they will face off against Team Canada for NWA/TNA Tag Team Titles.

In a true X-division battle. Three former champions face off against one another. TNA's only triple crown winner AJ Stlyes face off with The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels and the always dangerous Chris Sabin.

Raven who has been facing a reemergence as of late will face The Canadian Destroyer Petey Williams.

Team 3d one of wrestling top teams ever to be assembled, a team that has won tag gold numerous times is set to do battle with the young but very capable team of Austin Aries and Matt Bently.

In a X-Division match up. Ron Killings who has proclaimed that this is his year to grab a chance at gold. He is set his sights on the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe has been busy even if we haven't seen much of him on TV as of late. He has been working a tour in Japan, honing his skills.

America's Most Wanted. The former World Tag Team champions are set to go against a new team that was signed over the week. The new team is being kept a secret but can only be described as they come from a wrestling family and are out to prove their mettle as they prove themselves worthy of championship gold like their fathers before them.

The Monster Abyss is set to battle Rhino in a tables match. Over the last month have seen these two individuals interfere in one anthers matchs. Even managing to put one another through tables. Now these two will face each other in the ring.

The Main event pits the self proclaimed King of the Mountain, Jeff Jarrett as he fights to hold on to the item he holds so dear in life. He is set to defend the NWA/TNA World Heavyweight Title against two bitter enemies who have been driven to capture gold themselves who were friends themselves, but the luster of gold may have driven the friendship to a permanent fracture. Cristian Cage, arguably the most entertaining man in wrestling today tries to reclaim a lost title. A title he did not get pinned to lose months ago. And The Icon, Sting. Sting a former world champion himself. A man who knows he may not have much time left. The wars he has faced have taken a toll on The Icon. Or has it left him prepared for this epic match up?

With the fast approaching Final Resolution PPV coming. I purposely signed on a few of the rag sheets to throw confusion and hype the event. I threw out the possibility of a major WWE star had defected and would be making his appearance in TNA possibly at Final Resolution.

That really upset people. They threw out speculations of Kurt Angle, Booker T, heck for that matter there was even a Dwayne Johnson appearance. I don't know who would post that? :p

I was purposely stirring the pot. I wanted them to talk TNA. Good, Bad, didn't matter. My job right now was to generate some hype, heat, what ever you want to call it. If I could lure a few more people to watch. I was confident I could hold on a percentage of new fans. The nay sayers will always hate. Its the casual fan I wanted.

On our official homepage for TNA I had the webmaster post up official signings of Shawn Hernandez, Air Paris, and Kofi Kingston. Air Paris and Kofi should be wonderful talent and are looking forward to competing in the X-Division.

Final Resolution will be posted some time this Sunday.

One other item. Thanks to those who voted the stars. But to be honest I would take me down to a one star if I had some posts instead. But thank you all the same and thanks for reading. I hope to keep you entertained atleast for a minute or two.

What a good feeling it is to run a successful PPV. When I run one I'll let you know. I personally was alittle disappointed with the buy rate. Felt we were going to get a .50 or higher. Fell short of my personal goal and the actual buy rate was a .49.

I logged on our website and checked out the fan forum. By far the most talked about match was the Jarrett/Sting/Cage match. But many felt Samoa Joe and Ron Killings stole the show. The one that disappointed was the Abyss VS Rhino match. That one made me scratch my head the most. Maybe it was the length. It was not for lack of effort. Rhino made one of the sickest bumps ever taken in recent history.

Someone had posted a message that Molly Holly was making a return to wrestling. Good for her. She is such a natural babyface, but plays a surprisingly good heel as well. But a lot of times these notes don't pan out so I don't place to much stock in them.

I've got myself alittle breathing room for our next PPV, Against All Odds. Coming into January I only had 2 weeks to get some heat going. Now I get 3 weeks, yeah. My story lines are progressing nicely. February has been pretty much locked in on what to do. But I need to get to work on March, for Destination X. I've got rough ideas on what I would like to do but haven't thought it all the way through.

I was looking over the contracts that are coming up soon and the one name that sticks out is Jeff Hardy. The man, the myth, the legend. He can really electrify a crowd when he is on. But he does come with some baggage. Jeff tends to get moody, and become sloppy in the ring when he is on one of his down times. But again when he is on, he really does shine. What to do?

I walking along the hallway leading down to the dressing room when I heard the laughter coming from the room. Oh lord whats going on now? There was Eric Young doing some impressions of the boys from here and the WWE. I must say they were dead on. Jeff Jarrett was laughing and noticed me in the door way.

He approached me and asked me, “Whats this I hear you in talks with Chris Jericho?” I told him I had seen that rumor as well, and I was not talking to Jericho at all. On someone that large I would run the idea by him and Dixie as well.

Jeff told me congratulations by the way. I asked for what. You scored over a 1.00 on TV ratings. A rounding success in his eyes. To be exact it scored a 1.07 almost up a half a point.

Jarrett then added he felt I was doing a fine job but one thing that was concerning to him was the amount of worker we had under contract. I was going to start trimming down some of the roster next month. I added that we would talk later.

I left the room to turn the corner and there was Jerry Lynn and Cassidy Riley going over a few move set. Lynn was explaining on why he would use this move over another one to Riley. He noticed me and asked if he could run an idea by me later. “The door is always open.”, I responded.
