Scott Vibert
Our eLicense manager has been down for the last 24 hours or so (at least I can't get to it from my end), so if you are waiting for an unlicense request, that is why I haven't gotten back to you. That said in most situations you can do it yourself by following these steps: Prior to re-formatting or changing computers you must unlicense your game. To do this follow the following steps while connected to the internet: 1.) Go to the shortcut you use to launch the game. Right-click on it. 2.) In the target box, at the end of the path, add a space, and then: -unlicense 3.) Hit Apply and close the box. 4.) Launch the game, this should pop up the unlicense window. RKElf
Scott, I just posted on a different thread the symptoms of my elicense issue. I try to run a game, it hangs and seizes my machine. This doesnt happen with TEW2005 or demos, so it's an elicense issue, right? When I try to uninstall my elicense by this method, the same thing happens. Hangs and seizes. Uninstallation of my license does not seem to be an option. Apparently, this elicense issue is pretty huge. Is there one single, comprehensive thread on it somewhere? I apologize if I've missed it or posted this in the "wrong place".
Scott Vibert
I'm back online, thanks for everyone's paitience. I would need more details to be able to help you, your OS, which game you are referring to, at the minimum.
RKElf
Hi Scott. Thanks. Apparently it's all elicensed games. I'm running win xp (32). Trying to start a game, it just hangs until eventually my system freezes up. I can't uninstall the elicense either. the same thing happens. I'm going to try to contact elicense at some point on Monday, unless you have some advice or a solution I can use before then. Thanks again. Scott Vibert
Check to see if your running the LicCtrl service. Try running the computer in Safe Mode with network support. If it works there then its likely the anti-virus or firewall software blocking the launch of the application. Also make sure you are running the program with administrator rights.
