fatallylost
It's almost time to find where Jesus hid the eggs! Wait, or, does the bunny hide crosses? I'm confused.

fatallylost
It's sad that Easter has come down to chocolates, Baskets, and jelly beans. I know, huh? It used to be such a great Pagan celebration so long ago.
dvdWarrior
I celebrated the day in style: editing my universe in TEW, and watching the Hulu. Fun. Hot as all get out in my bedroom right now, but fun. I wanna Easter Egg!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna Easter Egg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LoNdOn
It's sad that Easter has come down to chocolates, Baskets, and jelly beans. Just as Christmas has come to be a commercial festival.
Linsolv
I know, huh? It used to be such a great Pagan celebration so long ago. Religious history's all fun and games until Wiccans claim to be ancient.
fatallylost
I don't know much about them, but, out of respect I'm limited my religious jokes. Cause I don't like any of them, especially the main stream ones.
Linsolv
I don't know much about them, but, out of respect I'm limited my religious jokes. Cause I don't like any of them, especially the main stream ones. I'm not religious, but I have this almost obscene interest in the bible. Gotten into debates about Christianity, and my quoting had the other guy asking if I was "sure" I was an atheist. Oh, man, I love that story... Anyways, my girlfriend's got a bad habit of hopping around esoteric religions, so I know a lot about them. Wicca, and aside from the fact that most practitioners don't seem to know this it's not a damning fact at all, was created in the mid 1950s, when Gerald Gardner got kicked out of a neo-pagan coven. He wrote a book about his experiences, but he was contractually obligated to not mention some parts of the religion, so he made up those parts. That book is the basis of Wicca. Of course, there's always naysayers who insist that I don't know anything and if I only listen to what they say, I'll realize how mistaken I am, and I wasn't there or anything so it's theoretically possible. But that would make Wicca the ONLY "pagan" religion to have survived the 18th and 19th centuries in a form other than writings hidden somewhere. And then it's not an ancient religion either, it's an interpretation of an ancient religion. EDIT: For accuracy's sake, I should mention that "kicked out" might not be accurate. He was in one, then he wasn't. I can't really remember why any more, because I didn't care that much.
TommyDreamerFan
Me neither, I've yet to nail a Christian to anything. I have eaten far too many chocolate eggs though, so I'm observing the holiday in that respect Happy Easter everybody! Christian? I always though the guy on the cross was that little jewish fellow... moon_lit_tears
I know, huh? It used to be such a great Pagan celebration so long ago. Pagen religion intrigues me. Just as Christmas has come to be a commercial festival. I am not a fan of Christmas either. When your birthday is the day before it ruins it for children. I don't know much about them, but, out of respect I'm limited my religious jokes. Cause I don't like any of them, especially the main stream ones. The sad part is people claim to be religious to be *in*.

The sad part is people claim to be religious to be *in*. I take it your birthday falls on that day? Mine is exactly two weeks before yours then. And yeah, I would think it'd be better to keep your religion to yourself nowadays. With all the bombings, pedophilia, and everything else. I subscribe to none, in case that wasn't obvious. Also, my ex took me out to The Comedy Store on my birthday... the same day Richard Pryor died (yup, he died on my birthday too) Also, get really board, and have a ton of free time on your hands. That's how I discover things like that.
