Good to see the "reference" post of the month is up!

Other Whedon references (just a few of them, don't want to snage them all!)

Aud D'Hoffryn

The Big Bad

There's a few more of those...

Grissom Auditorium located in Las Vegas (CSI! The uncrappyish one!)

Loxley Robbins (LAHAHAHAHA, MR. HOOD!)

And two of my favorites isn't even the default database, but 2008's 1975 mod: Kaiser Grund and Wolfgang Lorenz (Nicht Meir) take their names from members of 70s German punk band Big Balls & The Great White Idiot. Good job, Mr T! Who, in the same database, references a pair of (super lame) characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Ditto. But you know I kinda of like it. Origin and definition please, Brother Shmoe?

Well I would say the origin is the result of being intoxicated with my buddies, mainly. Just, the phrase "beef" is pretty common with people who are annoyed or aggressive towards each other, especially around where I live, and it was just decided that if people have beef, they need to take it out the oven, let it cool off. Maybe have it a bit later with some coleslaw or something. I hope this was educational for you all! :p

Back on topic, anybody else think the name Ripper LeStat has something to do with Interview with a Vampire or whatever it is?

Andriy Boronin=Andriy Voronin former Liverpool player

Kalu Owusu - Lloyd Owusu uk footballer-that might be clutching at straws.

A few of those aren't really reference's but just using the other persons names.

When you select a champion in the roster screen, the belt that indicates this person is a champ is the Attitude Era WWF Belt.

I've got three words for ya: No $hit Sherlock.

Actually it's a freebie prop for DAZ Studio/Poser and not distributed or owned by the WWF/WWE, so any resemblance would be purely coincidental. :p

I just now got this one...

Ash Campbell

Ash Williams, played by Bruce Campbell!

Huzzah.

That name had always rung a bell with me for some reason, and now I know why.

Unrelated...

Rolling Johnny Stones clearly has sort of a Mick Jagger thing going.

Aud D'Hoffryn.

I noticed this one (Aud was Anya's original name back in the 10th century before the demon - D'Hoffryn - made her into a vengence demon), but I recently watched Triangle and noticed in the credits that the actor that played Olaf, Aud's 10th century lover slash troll thing, is called Abraham Benrubi.

Abraham Slam/Bully Benrubi. :D

Yeah! Totally worth ressurecting this thread.
