Sandman
Just uploaded a new version that does both the things you asked. Where can we find this version of the converter? In the beginning of the post stands still the old version. Thanks Sandman
Purple Cowboy
Okay, I might not be getting this all straight, but this means you could convert any TEW files to WreSpi? Like any stat update? Real world? Its not savegame compatible, but if you reset your original TEW data to a data update or real wrestlers it should work. But then you have to assign move sets for all of the wrestlers. Payne
Good gosh, I was doing this the REAL long way. Thanks, man.
Payne
Is there any way to switch the databases? For example, if Default is, well, the Default, and "1" is my TEW Converted, is there a way to switch back to the Default?
Payne
Never mind, I figured it out.
Vladamire Dracos
Hey, would it be possible to get the converter to set a workers Personality and Attitude level from their TEW Behaviour, Attitude? I know the TEW Behaviour and Attitude settings in TEW are numerical while Wrespi's Personality and Attitude is a flat level (Nice, Normal, etc.), but it seems that it should be easy enough to set it up where if one is 100-X it's this, and if it's X-Y it's this other one. It'd save us data makers some time. On a slightly related note, did you have some sort of ratio you used when assigning Spirit Points to a worker in the original data that could be mechanically copied, or did you just eyeball it? Thanks for the work you've done so far on this, some game makers wouldn't have gone through the effort to make something like this for their fans. PyroFalkon
Cool. All we need now is a utility to export the database from a career mode save.
cyberkitten01
Yes, that would be great. Especially then you could set that as Cornellverse (2007), and then start a new game and everything would be as you left it, and you'd have the option of going back to the default database as well if you wanted
PyroFalkon
Yep, that's what I'm hoping for. It would extend the life of the game to me.
scorpio1018
some problems i just converted the TEW-ravex#4 database with this converter here and it fine. then when starting a game, the load-up process stopps as the game detects erros in the database. one was about sid vicious which i could erase manually, but the other errors all contain default movesets for certain fighting styles. when i go to movesets or move section in the editor, everything is blank. EDIT: i just copied move.fis and moveset.fis from the default databse and now it works... thanks
Ring Troll
I have a ravex real world update, and when I try to convert it to WreSpi, it keeps saying Error 6 Encountered after only putting in a couple wrestlers, all of which names end up being wierd symbols and squares
Adam Ryland
Make sure you've followed the instructions precisely, it sounds like you either haven't put the files in the right place, or you are only using some of them.
pete
Awesome thanks! I reckon this'll inspire me to make the purchase.
elsplodgio
Filenames Hi there. I am having a slight problem using this converter. The instructions say put files likes worker.dat, team.dat etc into the folder..... But all i have is worker.tew, team.tew etc? And i also have no title.dat? If i simply change the extensions it says it all worked succesfully but then gives me 'Error 6 Encountered!'. Any ideas?
D. Boons Ghost
The converter only works for files coming in from TEW'04. That game used .dat files, rather than the .tew files that TEW'05 runs on.
elsplodgio
Ta! Thanks for that Anybody know where there are any decent mods then? x
