CHUCK LIDDELL RETIRES

After a superb career as a mma fighter, the "Iceman" Chuck Liddell retires at age 40. After 12 years fighting around the world, he will be remembered as one of the toughest fighter of his generation. He was UFC LightHeavyweight Champion for more then 2 years. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame and as of today he is also a member of the MMA Hall Of Fame. Thank You Chuck for such an amazing career.

MORE SIGNINGS FOR THE UFC

With a new round of signature looming around the UFC, Dana White is pround to annonce the signature of Heavyweights: Shane Del Rosario(10-1),former Strikeforce Champion Alistair Overeem(33-13) and Russian Sensation Blagoi Ivanov(5-0). With the addition of Jeff Monson last month, the UFC Heavyweight division is getting pretty strong right now and its not over since UFC is still in negociation with Strikeforce Heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Roger Gracie. Dana White also revamped the Middleweight division with the acquisitions of Paul Bradley(15-2), Tim Kennedy(12-3) and returning to the UFC Robbie Lawler(19-5) and finally Dream Middleweight Champion Murilo Rua(20-10-1). These signatures should bring a new live to the Heavyweight and Middleweight divisions. With Anderson Silva maybe going against Quinton Jackson for the LightHeavyweight Championchip. Maybe a Middleweight Tournament will take place...

1. Sign: Jake Shields

2. Lightweight and Lightweight.

3.Yes, but not Silva.

4. Silva, Sonnen, SHIELDS, Marquardt, Belfort, Rich Franklin, Robbie Lawler.

5. Yes, as you have Fight night and VS, put Rookie Night. There you put fighters with most fight or two, so the best guys get chance on next Rookie night, and finally become legends of today in UFC.

UFC NEWS

Again a very busy month for the UFC. A lot of new signatures and very important ones also. First, in the LightHeavyweight division, Rafael Cavalcante (11-2) and Ralek Gracie (4-1) will be making their debut in the UFC shortly as they both signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC. In the Heavyweight division, Dana White signed Gracie family member Roger Gracie (4-1), heavy hitter Brett Rogers (12-2) and 2010 MMA Rookie of the Year Daniel Cormier (5-0). Those new addition with the others from previous months are making the Heavyweights very strong in the UFC. Finally, UFC went around the world to add 3 Champions from other organizations to their roster. Andrei Semenov (30-9-2), Adrenaline Middleweight Champion has signed with the UFC. Gilbert Melendez (19-2), 2 times Strikeforce Lightweight Champion will be making his debut very soon. And the biggest acquisition of the year for the UFC, Adrenaline Welterweight Champion and Strikeforce Middlweight Champion, Jake Shields (26-4-1) has signed a long term deal with the UFC!
