What is your longest running game?

Recommended Posts

Just to generate some conversation, I thought I would ask some of you what your longest running game has been, with what promotion and what year you are currently in. I will start off and I am sure that this is nothing because I am sure some of you have ran longer games but mine has been with FCW for three years and I am currently in 2013. What is your longest game?

13 years, 2023, while testing my mod in the early stages. One show a month for five years then copy the save and get a TV deal (had a PPV deal from the start) then play on for five more years and get a TV deal (on the original save), resign and sim three years.

Almost 11 years in my current WCW (Global now, started as MAW) game that's in Sept 2020. I spent 2010 and 2011 running one a show a month, late 2012 I started running two shows a month and I continued that strategy (home area and alternating second regions) until 2014 when I started running four shows a month (home area and three other regions). Late 2015 I was able to get a TV show and was only doing one event a month. That original TV show that I started in 2015 has seen a few different name and network changes, but now it's my most watched TV show every week. I wasn't able to get a second TV show until 2019 (when we hurdled from Cult to International) but now we have three A-shows and a B-show.

It's been quite the roller coaster ride.

Just hit the 10 year mark in my local-global game. Hit regional in the middle of 2012 and then spent a few years getting 2 regions to D before realizing how bad the jump to Cult was and have now built my home region up to a C+ and am making around 100,000 per month so that I'll have a good amount of money and popularity when I hit cult again

Ny record is 1 1/2 months, with 21CW.

Yeah, I know....

That's pretty good for 21CW as it is a hard promotion to run, I have tried to run a game as them and I failed miserablely after one year. And yes I would say Watcher Games do count.

I just did something stupid last night with my FCW game as RIPW switched ownership so I resigned from FCW to try and jump at the chance to become head booker for RIPW needless to say it didn't happen and I couldn't get my job back with FCW so I had to start over. Last time I ever try and do that.

Just ran my first Janaury 2014 Show as CZCW and I'm I'm sure I coudl hit cult this year if I tried. Got a bankroll of almost 2mil and a roster that just won;t quit.

But my Longest save is ACPW in 2016. I've hit regional with them but I'm a standstill with how do expand. They hemorrhage money when I try to do more than one or two shows a month. So I haven't touched that game in a few months.

Sadly, I think just under two years is my furthest so far. That was with an EWA game that, sadly, I'm just not into. I sorta rushed things in a desperate effort to get back to where my 08 EWA game was ASAP, and I quickly realized neglected the company to the point the game lacked... "soul", I guess you could say.

Right now I have a pair of games both at the about 1.5 years mark, FCW and RAW. RAW is my typical "go to" game, and is likely to see attention from me until the next TEW comes out. FCW... has recently sorta had its niche filled by APWF in the 70s! Both are Regional companies in the USA that are on the rise towards Cult, and, well... it's APWF: possibly the greatest company to ever grace the continent. I doubt I'll totally abandon my FCW game (as I enjoy playing in the modern day America!), but right now... right now I'm plotting what to do in APWF up to five years game time from now.

Oh, and I'm busy enjoying watching Terry Lambert's Power rise through the roof thanks to a delightful combination of potential and copious amounts of steroids. He should have a B+ by October 1977 at his current rate.

Well this put a damper on things...

The Masked Patriot, who was set to win the tag titles with Sam Strong at this month's big event and then headline next month's...

Just shattered his elbow. Now I'm left scrambling to figure out who should take his place teaming with Strong (since one half of the current champs, Suhail Assanti, is about to retire) and who in the hell will be able to step up for next month's show.

If I push the big event back a month, Farmer Fran will be ready to re-debut with his new gimmick...

Why did you resign? You can apply for head booking positions with other promotions without leaving the promotion your're with. In my 2020 game I've made copies at two different points in time... 2015 when USPW was willing to hire me and 2019 when SWF was willing to hire me.

Or did you start as owner of FCW? In that case you had to resign to apply for a new job - so never mind. :o

In TEW 08 I had gone 13 years with one promotion. Now, in TEW 2010 I am a little past 3 years.

On a side note, I thought this was awesome in TEW 2010. I went to cancel my television contract with a local network to get a more lucrative one with a larger network. The response I got was the network rejected my cancellation request and will pursue legal action if I don't fulfill my obligations.
