Dave Hansen
I plan to call all the plays myself for my team during the season. I will also do all my own advance scouting of my next opponent. Given these preferences of doing everything myself, does it make sense when finalizing the budget to set the following budget items to the MINIMUM? COLLEGE SCOUTING: *offensive scouting *defensive scouting *advance scouting With my desire to "micro-manage" my playing experience, can I free up budget dollars for better use elsewhere by doing my own scouting? Or, would I penalize myself in some way with less accurate info on my opponent's players, etc? Basically, is there any advantage/disadvantage to this strategy. PS-I need all the advantages I can get with my Illinois Fighting Illini. The Big Ten is a brutal conference just like in real life for them to compete in!! :D Went 3-8 (1-7) first time thru with the demo.
dime
I only know this because it's in the manual ;) - the offense/defense scouting affects how accurate the ratings are that you see for other teams' players...this includes transfers. - the advance scouting category affects your team's on-field performance. so yeah, you probably want to put as much money in that as you can. wbatl1
The advance scouting will help your team play better and adjust to "shows" or something of the like the other team does. So, if you spend more on advance scouting, your team will play better in the games. By the way, this was paraphrased from what Arlie said at FOFC.
