Art is a Way of Life : FREEDOM is a State of Mind

What Is FREEDOM?

“Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better.” Albert Camus

“Freedom is a package deal - with it comes responsibilities and consequences” Anonymous

"Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth." John F Kennedy

"The best road to progress is freedom's road."*John F. Kennedy

"A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom."Bob Dylan

”Freedom is never given; it is won.” A. Philip Randolph

"Freedom is from within."Frank Lloyd Wright"

"Without freedom, no Art; Art lives only on the restraints it imposes on itself, and dies of all others." Albert Camus

“The man who takes the chance to be better with both hands, and is willing to deal with the responsibilities and consequences, whilst refusing to conform to what is expected just to follow the road of progression and in doing so, gives everything to win, drawing it all from inside himself knowing no restrains. Then and only then will FREEDOM ever be truly achieved.”

Art Reed, inspired by those there before him.

Meeting The Power

[sat in the bar, I have no idea why Marcos (Puerto Rican Power) had called me and asked for a meeting, but since he was intent on coming up here to Canada I thought I could at the very least hear him out and tell him that I'm still out injured]

[The Power arrived, he looked at least 6'7, he'd worked a couple of later shows in DAVE but we never spoke and surrounded by members of the general public just emphasised his huge size. I also noticed a briefcase in his left hand. He took a seat.]

[before we could exchange pleasantries he spoke]

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/PuertoRicanPower_ALTY.jpg

I've got an offer for you here to come down to Puerto Rico and join my FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling company, I have a contract in this case and I'd like you to take a look at it.

[i took the contract but before reading it I told Power]

Listen I'm still not back from my bad knee so I don't think, I'm in any sta...

[Power interrupted me telling me to read it and as he is a menacing man I concurred]

[it wasn't until the last couple of sentences that it grabbed my full attention, it read:

Bonuses...

Each show booked $2,000

I'd clearly missed this in my skimmed read through, but for just working and booking a single show in a month, this seemed like a steal, and when I scrutinised it further realised I could be making upto $4,00 per month, this with travel expenses or a one of relocation charge, why Shawn gave this up I don't know (and I wasn't asking.) I knew I had to take it with both hands, this could even be my chance at winning a title for the first time in my career (even if I had to make it happen myself.)

[Power returned from the bar]

PRP: So what do you say

[i thought about it for a second longer]

Marcos, it would be a pleasure to come and work for FCW.

[We then exchanged details and agree we would meet on the first day of the new decade to deiscuss my first show- FCW Presents FREEDOM Fighters.]

A Welcome to FREEDOM

Summary of the first meeting in Puerto Rico, between Me, Puerto Rican Power and Shawn Gonzalez

  • I have the green light to bring three of my four signing in this month, and the 4th will be scouted by Shawn Gonzalez.
  • The reason Shawn stepped down is because he was burnt out of ideas.
  • Yet he still insisted on being at the bookers meeting, and worse yet oppose some of my (and Power's ideas) ideas.
  • We agreed on the initial (signings pending) card for the first show.
  • I will have to report to Puerto Rico (expenses paid) at every show (of course) and for a meeting at the start of each month.
  • Leper Messiah will undertake a slight image change.
  • There was brief discussion of a web show or monthly bulletin of some kind for the IWC but the discussion never really advanced from 'What do you think about …, yeah whatever ) so I didn't really take much notice of that.

With his partner in singles action already Howard gets a chance to prove himself in the singles ranks against FCW main eventer, Handsome Stranger.

Tag Team Gold on the line as the Champions take on the friends, Jameson and Hernandez, will they be able to capture the gold from The Kings or go back to the bottom of the pile.

A power struggle is in place within FCW with Leper Messiah and Hell's Bouncer look to thwart the power that Shawn Gonzalez holds within the Company. With this match we take one step closer to a resolution.

Puerto Rican Power has accepted a mystery challenge put to him and only 2 people know who, are Power isn't one of them. Will the champion be able to keep him at bay, or will the surprise leave the unprepared champion vulnerable to lose his champion.

San Juan High School hosts- FCW FREEDOM Fighters

All 300 tickets sold!

Friday Week 2 January

http://i574.photobucket.com/albums/ss185/Starr-Light-Warrior/FCW.jpg

Dane O'Hara: Welcome to FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling Live Presentation of FREEDOM Fighters, I'm Dane O'Hara, alongside my colleague Cueball Lynch Live in San Juan High School, in you guessed it San Juan, now lets join Ryan Holland for the match

Ryan Holland: The following is a number one contenders elimination match for the FCW Peoples Championship. In the ring to my left, We have From Kashmir, India Weighing in at 224lbs, Sensational Singh and his first opponent From the Windy City 230lbs of Bradford Peverell. On my right we have hailing from

New Orleans, Louisiana 'The Storm' D.C Rayne and the final competitor fighting out of Spanish Harlem, 'New York Toughest Man' the 300lbs Jesus Chavez.

http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/KashmirSingh_alt1.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/BradfordPeverell.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/DCRayne.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/JesusChavez.jpg

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, D.C Rayne was the first out when he was hit with a flying shoulder by Chavez. But Chavez didn't last much longer being made to tap by a Singh to Win. Which left two and it was Singh who took the win debuting an impactful Russian Legsweep to pinfall finisher to pick up the win. Following the match Singh didn't acknowledge Batch at all and just went to the back.

[Puerto Rican Power comes to the ring with a microphone and after the 2 minutes cheer he finally get the crowd to listen.]

http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/PuertoRicanPower.jpg

PRP: I've come out here to address my challenger tonight. You see I don't know, or particularly care who you are but I just want anyone from Amo del Gato to Eisaku Kunomasu, to know, that when you step into the ring with me, it's not just the man you are fighting it is all these people in the audience, it is every proud Puerto Rican, it is the force and the Power of Puerto Rico you are facing.

Because if Puerto Rico is behind me then there is no way not a chance of you, who ever you are, beating me let alone this fine land of Puerto Rico!

[The fans cheer as The Power finishes his rant and heads of behind the curtain.]

Ryan Holland: Introducing first making his way to the ring, he is representing The Natural Storm from Detroit, Michigan Eddie Howard...

And his opponent tonight currently residing right here in Puerto Rico, Handsome Stranger.

http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/EddieHoward.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/HandsomeStranger.jpg

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Handsome Stranger had to deal with stiff offence and sharp Tekkers from The Natural and he seemed complacent throughout the early exchange but he soon got to business and took the match with a Catalan Twist at 9:42.

[This time Shawn Gonzalez takes the microphones and addresses the crowd to a sizeable ,even if small compared to PRP's earlier reception]

http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/ShawnGonzalez.jpg

Gonzalez: Tonight I take on an monster of a man, a man who has walked through Hell and come the other side, a near 7 foot Pennsylvanian savage who is desperate to overthrow the power in FCW, and I beat him all around this arena and pin him in the very ring I am stood in and I take one step closer to saving FCW from Hell's Messiahs and should anyone who disagrees wish to join the Bouncer, then I'll kick you both over to Florida and you can join whatever promotion they got over there.

Because the sooner I am FREE of these two 'Minor Annoyances,' the sooner the real Lone Wolf comes back to FCW.

O'Hara: And we've now heard strong words from two of the men in our two top of the card matches and well I fear for their opponent's tonight.

Cueball: What a pair of has-beens with more talk than brain, they stand no chance.

O'Hara: Well everyone has a right to an opinion, even if it's wrong, let's move back to the action now with Holland in the ring.

Ryan: Introducing first at a combined weight of 397lbs Our FCW Tag Team Champions, The Latino Kings...

And the challengers weighing 440lbs, the team of Mainstream Hernandez and Kirk Jameson.

http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/HectorGalindo.jpg & http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/RudyVelasquez.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/MainstreamHernandez.jpg & http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/KirkJameson.jpg

The tag team interchanges quite well and the match had a good flow and it took a good while for either side to take advantage but eventually Jameson did just that and as he looked like winning, a last gasp low blow from Hector low blowed Kirk and Legdrop bulldogged him, Hernandez tried to make the save but a equally self damaging lunge by Rudy taking both to the outside, left Jameson vunerable and he was pinned at 12:27 after hitting a picture perfect Shooting Star Splash to win the match and gain the team first successful defence of the titles.

Ryan Holland: Making his way to the ring, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania standing 7 feet tall and weighing 385lbs, Hell's Bouncer...

And the opponent the, currently residing in San Juan, Shawn Gonzalez.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/BeezerWrestling/DAVE/HellsBouncer.jpg vs http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac292/QFresh2/FCW%20Diary%20Pics/ShawnGonzalez.jpg

This match went to the outside very quickly and the pair had a brawl with Bouncer taking the upper hand his main offence was using his strength in particular in throwing Gonzalez into the crowd but as he tried to follow him in Shawn hit him in gut with a chair and smashed his head on the steel guardrail and climbed back out he dropkicked the knee of the Bouncer and he fell to the ground, Shawn stood on the apron and when he jumped down he was met by the hand of HB, and Bouncer began to choke him, but Shawn manoeuvred it into a DDT on the outside. He then took the Giant back into the ring and applied a headlock but Bouncer powered out and took control, he sprung Shawn into the ropes and big booted Gonzalez, he then signalled for a Chokeslam he went for it but Shawn quickly hit him with a cutter for the win.

[shawn is in the ring after his gruelling match when a previously unseen (in FCW) man comes from behind the curtain]

Cueball: Is that?

O'Hara: It can't be.

Cueball: It is! It is!

O'Hara: That's The Tap Out Artist BILLY RUSSEL!

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/BillyRussell.jpg

[He points at Shawn and taps his hands three times and then heads off back, leaving Shawn Gonzalez confused]

Cueball: What is he here for, and what's his problem with The Lone Wolf!

Ryan Holland: The following is tonight's main event and is for the FCW Puerto Rican Championship introducing first from San Juan, Puerto Rico, the reigning 2 time FCW Champion Puerto Rican Power...

An his opponant...

[Ryan receives a piece of paper from Rico Santana]

From Piezas Desconocida, 'The Myth' R.W Darkness.

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i290/sheepyx/USPW/USPW%20Wrestlers/PuertoRicanPower.jpg vs http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/TheDarknessWarrior_alty.jpg

The débutante took it to Power in the early stages of the match but never took him off his feet, a frustrated Warrior then took to the top rope and attempted a crossbody, but was caught by PRP and lifted him above his head and gave him a military press, Power had it under control from their and with a lot of taunting to the crowd by The Power, Warrior managed to last a good 16 minutes before falling victim to the San Juan Rush and Power picked up the win.

http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/ArtReed_FINisher1.jpg

[but then Art Reed came to the ring and the crowd thought he came to make the save but he ordered Darkness to hold him up and hit Power with a decapitating Super Kick and they both taunted as the show finishes.]

Show Rating by TEW.com: C-(58/100)
