<p><strong>Ant-Man ©</strong> vs. Kid Leone for the Mid Atlantic Traditional title</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Can't see Ant-Man dropping the belt just yet. </em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Heartbreakers</strong> vs. Team America</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Trying to recall who Team America are, in that case I will stick with the team that getting a push and look to be the next challengers for the Tag Titles. </em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Culture Shock</strong> vs. The Awesomeness</p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Awesomeness domination of the Tag Division in MAW has very much come to an end, time for them to give some other teams the 'rub'. </em></p><p> </p><p>

Eddie Cornell vs. <strong>Trent Schafer</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Already Eddie Cornell seems to be settling into a sort of jobber to the stars type of role in MAW</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steve Flash</strong> vs. Citizen X in a House of Chaos match</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Steve Flash will win, but in some sick and twisted way X will feel like the winner, as Flash will have to become an unhinged 'monster' to gain the victory. </em></p><p> </p><p>

“Mean” Jean Cattley and The Great Ota vs. <strong>Atlas and Jay Chord</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Succession had a bit of a rough night last time out, but I don't think they are going to completely fall apart just yet so they get back on track here. </em></p>

So, I was about to post the next show, but for some reason unknown for me, photobucket's direct links aren't copying and pasting for me. Would anyone else mind checking to see if they're having the same problem?

<p>Disregard, the update to photobucket's just made it extremely irritating to copy links...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ant-Man © w/ Dharma Gregg vs. Kid Leone for the Mid Atlantic Traditional Title</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Leone lived up to his words and proved that he’s a top talent in MAW. In what was Ant-Man’s first defense, the Kid looked incredibly strong against the champ, beating on him with a variety of high flying moves mixed with some good old fashioned brawling. But Ant-Man wasn’t about to lose his title this quickly, and he rallied at the end to come back and finish the ultra-talented Leone with a huge Ant-Slam. Ant applauded his opponents efforts after the match, but Leone would have none of it, opting to instead trudge to the back with his head hung low. </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“I’m doing okay, Duke,” </span>Remmy answered solemnly. </p><p> </p><p>

“That was quite the viscous Quick Draw Kick he laid upon you, and you two’ve been at each other’s throats ever since.”</span></p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">

“Yeah, Duke, we have. And I’m just about tired of it. That’s why next month, at Battle of the Mid Atlantic, I’m challenging Ford, mano-e-mano. Ford, you’re going to have to face me this time. There ain’t no walking out of this one, I promise you that.”</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Team America vs. The Heartbreakers</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MattHocking.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RegularJoe.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JustinSensitive_alt.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Raphael_alt2.jpg</span></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The Heartbreakers continued to look strong against the strong teaming of Hocking and Cool. They took the lead early on and never really let up, eventually finishing off Team America with stereo Heartbreakers (Double Knee Gutbusters).</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>The Heartbreakers win, 47.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

While the duo gyrated to their music after the match, they failed to notice the tag champs, Death Row, bound over the barricade and storm the ring. The champs quickly laid waste to Raphael, and turned their attention to Sensitive, who’s cheating ways got the best of Knuckles at Showcase. Grabbing the mustached star by the neck, Knuckles laid him out with a big time right hand, and then proceeded to pick him up so the pair could nail Sensitive with the Hunts Point Bomb (Double Powerbomb).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

There was a time not so long ago where Culture Shock would have looked out of place in a match with the former tag champs. But both Fire Fly and Apollo have taken a step up in competition lately, and have come out of the gauntlet looking much better than before. As such, the match with The Awesomeness ended up being quite even, with both teams experiencing an equal amount of ups and downs. Culture Shock surprised the former champs down the stretch, though, and Fire Fly finished off Stardust with a Sky High Splash (450 Splash) to earn the win for his team. At ringside, Lisa Bowen was left shaking her head as her clients stood dumbfounded in the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Culture Shock win, 57.</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A knock came at Culture Shock and Ant-Man’s locker room door, and Dharma Gregg answered. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“Hola, senorita.”</span> It was El Mitico Jr, and he bowed deeply to Gregg.</p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#4B0082;">

“Umm, hi,”</span> she replied. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“Senorita,”</span> he said, <span style="color:#0000FF;">“If I could speak with El Ant-Man, El Fire Fly, and El Muchacho de la Isla, I would be very appreciative toward you.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Dharma was taken aback. <span style="color:#4B0082;">“Uhh, sure. Hey guys, we got a visitor.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Culture Shock and Ant-Man stopped their celebrating to greet Mitico. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">“How’s it going?”</span> Ant-Man greeted him. </p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">

“Muy bueno, senor,”</span> Mitico replied. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“I would like to congratulate you all on such a, a, a wonderful performance tonight. Truly admirable. Yes, admirable.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Culture Shock exchanged looks with one another. <span style="color:#48D1CC;">“Thanks, man…”</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“I have come to you because I am new here, as you can tell. As such, I would be, be, be honored if you would take me in and count me among your number. Yes, honored.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">“Well, welcome aboard,”</span> Ant-Man replied, extending his hand to Mitico. They shook heartily. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“Gracias, gracias!” </span>Mitico exclaimed. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“La Alianza del Honor is born!”</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4B0082;">“What is wrong with you?” </span>Emily shrieked. Casey and Jay shrunk back, but Cameron remained aloof. Atlas stood menacingly behind her. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4B0082;">“Casey, not only did you allow that freak to blind me, but you couldn’t even keep some upstart out of a job! Jay, after you lost that meaningless belt of yours, you’ve been as useless as Casey! And you,”</span> she snarled, turning to Cameron. <span style="color:#4B0082;">“I don’t know if you forgot, but you work for me. I control your contract, and that means when you’re here, you do what I say. Sneaking off to talk to those losers will not happen again. And none of this ‘respect’ after matches. We’re better than everyone else here, and we will demonstrate both in competition and after. We do not associate with those below us. At all. Understand?” </span></p><p> </p><p>

Casey and Jay both shook their heads yes, but Cameron remained still. Atlas stepped in front of him, cracking his knuckles. <span style="color:#4B0082;">“Understand?”</span> Emily hissed. </p><p> </p><p>

Cameron gritted his teeth and tensed up. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“Yes,”</span> he said. </p><p> </p><p>

Emily smirked. <span style="color:#4B0082;">“Good.”</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Eddie Cornell vs. Trent Schafer</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/EdwardCornell.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/TrentShaffer.jpg</span></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This was a good match that illustrated what both young members of the roster were capable of. Cornell, coming off of a loss to Schafer in a four-way, came out strong, looking to win fast and early. The wily Schafer, however, had other plans, and through a number of underhanded tactics, was able to pull ahead. Just when Cornell was mounting a comeback, though, Schafer demonstrated how skilled he really was without all of the cheating and finished Cornell off with a stiff Thunder Kick (Rolling Liger Kick). Apparently, Schafer is more than just a guy with great hair (though the hair really is a plus).</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Schafer wins, 57</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steve Flash vs. Citizen X in a House of Chaos match</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/SteveFlash_alt1.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CitizenX_alt2.jpg</span></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Flash jumped into the cage quickly, clearly excited for the match. The maniacal smile he had worn these past few months was present on his face he watched Citizen X come down to the ring. X had considerably less enthusiasm for the match, approaching te structure with a certain amount of trepidation. He tested each wall of the cage before slowly entering the ring, where he was faced with Steve Flash, who was absolutely foaming at the month at the prospect of finally getting his hands on his former partner. </p><p> </p><p>

As soon as the bell rang, Flash attacked like a pit bull, clamping down on X’s head with one arm and raining shots down with the other. Standing up, Flash smiled as X tried to get to his feet, but he was too dazed. Flash then grabbed a kendo stick and began to beat on X, forcing him to retreat to the corner, where Flash unleashed a flurry of shots that left X red all over. Flash sent X into the other corner where he quickly charged after him. X dodged, though, and got a momentary break before Flash was on him again. </p><p> </p><p>

Flash seemed completely uninterested in beating X, instead reveling in causing him as much pain as possible. When he raised a trash can to nail X with, though, X answered back with a dropkick that sent it into Flash’s face, staggering the veteran. X took the opportunity and fell upon Flash with a flurry of offense, both with and without weapons. Slowly but surely, X was gaining confidence, which ended up being his downfall. </p><p> </p><p>

With Flash down, X began taunting the veteran. Pushing a dazed Flash against the ropes, he was surprised when the veteran answered back with a hard forearm shot. And another. And another. Now, Flash was back in control, and he was the once pushing X into the ropes. When X rebounded, Flash lifted him up and nailed him with a Flash Bang (Standing hot shot) that saw him land directly on the trash can. But Flash didn’t try to pin him. Instead, he smiled wildly and began to slowly climb the cage wall. Once near the top, he reached out and snagged a steel chair hanging from the cables at the top before leaping back to the floor. </p><p> </p><p>

X, no slowly making his way to his feet, had no idea Flash was stalking him, and when he turned around, he was met with a resounding chair shot that left him not only out but bloody as well. Flash laughed at his downed opponent before nailing him with another sick chair shot. And then he hit him with another, and another. Finally, Flash tossed the chair away before laying down on his opponent, and jay Fair counted the three count, declaring Flash the winner.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Steve Flash wins, 54.</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Flash seemed joyful after the match, walking to the back with a huge smile on his face.</p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#FF0000;">

“Congratulations,”</span> X said, before exploding in a number of coughs. His face was red, and his beard was dyed crimson. He was clutching his ribs and favoring his right arm. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“Congratulations, Steve Flash. You win. You are truly the better man. Are you happy, Steve Flash?” X managed to laugh before succumbing to coughing once more. “I told you, Steve Flash, I would make you better! And I have. You’re just like me now. You’ve broken down your walls, and you let the real Steve Flash run wild! Congratulations, Steve Flash!” </span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>“Mean” Jean Cattley and The Great Ota vs. Atlas and Jay Chord</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MeanJeanCattley.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FumihiroOta_alt5.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Atlas_alt2.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JayChord.jpg</span></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Both Mean Jean and Ota have had issues with the Succession, so it was only a matter of time until the two teamed up to take on the group. Fortunately, they made a formidable teaming, and were able to take advantage of Chord’s overconfidence to remain in control for the majority of the match. Chord seemed almost unwilling to tag in Mid Atlantic Champion Atlas, as if he were trying to prove himself. If he was, he was doing a piss-poor job, as Ota and Cattley beat on him until he nearly submitted, which is when Atlas stepped in, booting Cattley off of Chord and into referee Jay Fair, knocking him down. With the ref out, Casey Valentine made a dead sprint to the ring, where he jumped on Ota, occupying the ninja. This freed up both Atlas and Chord, allowing the two to double team Cattley. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/BulldozerBrandon_alt2.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This went on for several minutes until “Red, White, and Blue” burst through the speakers, and American Patriot exploded from the back in a dead sprint! Sliding into the ring, he took a firm position between Cattley, Chord, and Atlas, eying Atlas and Chord menacingly. Cattley struggled to his feet, and smiling, placed a hand on the shoulder of Patriot, but Patriot spun on his feet and swung for the fences absolutely leveling Cattley with a lariat! With Cattley down, Patriot strode over to Jay Fair and revived the ref so that he could see Jay Chord covering Cattley. Slowly, Fair counted to three, awarding the match to Chord and Atlas.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Chord and Atlas win, 65.</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Once everyone else had left, Patriot slid back in the ring, circling Cattley. He smirked as Mean Jean clawed at his feet. Finally, he hefted Jean up to his feet, and then suddenly, brutally, spun him around and threw him over his shoulder with a an American Suplex (Backdrop Driver). As Patriot lorded over Cattley, the show came to an close.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Total: 56</strong></p><p>

Haha, I'm not going to take it into anti-America territory. For the most part, he didn't really do anything pro-American anyway, aside from a few promos early on.

Johnny’s Thoughts

Atlas

Age: 26

Finisher: World Bomb (Double Hand Choke Bomb)

John’s thoughts: Atlas is a good monster champion. The biggest guy we have right now, his stay in the SWF developmental system actually did him some good, and he’s turned out to be a pretty good worker. He’s apparently best in hardcore situations, so we’ll see if we ever get to see him show that off.

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Ant-Man_al7.jpg

Ant-Man

Age: 21

Finisher: Ant-Slam (Flapjack Powerslam) Raid-line (Lariat) Ant Trap (Dragon Clutch)

John’s thoughts: Me! A far cry from the opener I was when I first came in, huh? Clearly, the mask plays.

Mid Atlantic Tag

Death Row (Knuckles, Shady K)

Age: 28, 29

Finisher: Hunts Point Bomb (Double Powerbomb)

John’s thoughts: These guys got released from SWF, why? I have no idea. They’d both be good as singles wrestlers, and their experience as a team makes them even better.

Singles wrestlers

American Patriot

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/BulldozerBrandon_alt2.jpg

Age: 28

Finisher: American Suplex (Backdrop Driver)

John’s thoughts: Patriot’s a total beast, and it’s obvious why he had such a long title run. The guy can go with just about anyone. Well, except Atlas, which was highly disappointing.

Cam Jones

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CameronJones.jpg

Age: 21

Finisher: Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex

John’s thoughts: Cam was trained by Rip, and it shows. If he can actually improve enough to really become anything has yet to be seen, though.

Cameron Vessey

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CameronVessey.jpg

Age: 24

Finisher: Vessey Driver (Spinning DVD)

John’s thoughts: Vessey’s a real nice guy, and he’s also very talented. He’s shown a great deal of improvement since I got here, and I really hope he gets rewarded for it in the long run.

Casey Valentine

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CaseyValentine_alt1.jpg

Age: 22

Finisher: Valentine’s Kiss (Legdrop to the back of the head)

John’s thoughts: Valentine is just as good as Vessey, and way more tan. He’s being treated as the low man on the totem pole in The Succession, but he gets a lot more work in than the others, too.

Citizen X

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CitizenX_alt2.jpg

Age: 32

Finisher: Anarchy X (Crucifix Powerbomb)

John’s Thoughts: X is a great guy to have around. His skills are slipping a bit with age, but he can still go, and his ability to cut a promo is definitely something that makes him useful for as far as teaching us young uns goes.

Eddie Cornell

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/EdwardCornell.jpg

Age: 27

Finisher: Rough Ride (Slingshot twisting face crusher, just like Tommy)

John’s thoughts: Eddie kinda piggybacks Tommy’s career, but he’s actually quite talented in his own right, just not to the amazing degree as Tommy. Few are. I can see him becoming a player around here once he starts getting recognized as his own personality rather than Tommy’s cousin. Maybe a mask would help!?

El Mitico Jr

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/ElMitico.jpg

Age: 20

Finisher: Arm Bar

John’s thoughts: I’m not sure why he speaks so much Spanish in promos, he’s completely fluent in English. Oh well. Rip brought this guy in because he’s ridiculously talented, and I would not be surprised if we have a future champion on our hands here.

Findlay

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FindlayOFarraday.jpg

Age: 26

Finisher: Atomic Spinebuster

John’s thoughts: Findlay’s in about the same place he was last time we did this, but he’s finally getting an actual program of his own, working with the dojo grads. I think it could be successful in getting him over.

Ford Gumble

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FordGumble_alt1.jpg

Age: 33

Finisher: QUICK DRAW KICK! (savate kick)

John’s thoughts: Ford’s a really nice guy, and nothing like his character. He may not be getting any more talented than he already is, but he’s yet to start slipping, which is cool, too. Also, the Quick Draw Kick is totally awesome.

Jay Chord

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JayChord.jpg

Age: 21

Finisher: Cradle Piledriver, Super DDT

John’s thoughts: Prick.

Kid Leone

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/KidLeone.jpg

Age: 19

Finisher: Super Kick

John’s thoughts: This one’s a little tricky. Kevin has literally just signed a contract with GCG in Japan, so he’s not actually with the company. But, as we were the ones who really gave him his start in wrestling, I like to think that when he’s done over there, there’s a good chance he’ll come back. Plus, even at such a young age, he’s head and shoulders above everyone else in the talent area.

“Mean” Jean Cattley

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MeanJeanCattley.jpg

Age: 33

Finisher: Mood Swing (Reverse STO), Sharphooter

John’s thoughts: Jean’s been going down hill for the past few years, but he’s still better than half the roster. He’s one of the people I look to if I need help with anything work related.

Miller Fforde

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MillerFforde.jpg

Age: 19

Finisher: Flying Elbow Drop

John’s thoughts: See Cam Jones

Mimic

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Mimic.jpg

Age: 24

Finisher: Eraser (Full Nelson Bulldog)

John’s thoughts: Yeah, he’s still on the roster. He mostly wrestles dark matches. It’s a shame he isn’t really improving or gaining popularity at all, because he’s pretty good.

Remmy Skye

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RemmySkye.jpg

Age: 26

Finisher: Skye Diver (Corkscrew Moonsault)

John’s thoughts: Skye’s a really great guy, and he’s cleaned up his ring work considerably since we first got hired. He’ll go far, I think.

Robbie Wright

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RobbieWright.jpg

Age: 20

Finisher: Wright Stuff (Russian Legsweep from second turnbuckle)

John’s thoughts: Wright’s another dojo grad that I think has the potential to be better than the other two. He’s about equal in skill, but his charisma and ability to entertain far eclipses their’s.

Steve Flash

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/SteveFlash_alt1.jpg

Age: 45

Finisher: Flash Bang (Standing hot shot)

John’s thoughts: 27 years after his career started, and Flash is reinventing himself, and he’s doing a great job. Whoda thought?

The Great Ota

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FumihiroOta_alt5.jpg

Age: 36

Finisher: Ninja Strike (Shining Wizard)

John’s thoughts: Ota’s always been a great character and wrestler. One of our top talents, he’s great to have around.

The New York Doll

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Spike_alt5.jpg

Age: 24

Finisher: New York Minute (Piledriver)

John’s Thoughts: So far, he’s just been the silent sidekick, looking all cool and stuff. But he has real potential to break out and be something a lot bigger than that. Funny enough, he no longer works in New York. No idea why.

Trent Schafer

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/TrentShaffer.jpg

Age: 26

Finisher: Thunder Kick (Rolling Liger Kick)

John’s thoughts: O-M-G he’s so hot! That hair!

Tag Teams

Culture Shock (Amazing Fire Fly & Apollo)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/AmazingFireFly.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/IslandBoyApollo.jpg

Age: 20, 22

Finisher: Sky High Splash (450 Splash), Apollo Driver (Pumphandle Driver)

John’s thoughts: My running mates, and two good wrestlers. Fly’s an amazing flyer, and Apollo’s turning into a very competent brawler.

The Awesomeness (Cannonball, Stardust)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/HueyCannonball_alt1.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JeffersonStardust.jpg

Age: 26, 23

Finishers: Cannonball Splash (Cannonball Senton), Star maker (Running Knee Strike)

John’s thoughts: The former tag champs, these guys were dominant for quite a while. They’re both pretty good apart, but as a team their experience makes them better than a ton of other guys we’ve got around.

Young Canadian League (Christian Price, Grimm Quinn)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/ChristianPrice_alt2.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/GrimmQuibble_alt.jpg

Age: 27, 24

Finisher: O Canada (Splash/leg drop combo)

John’s thoughts: Nice guys, but total jobbers. They’ve yet to record a win, but did manage to debut in a title match. That’s good, right?

Bad Company (El Rudo and Jared Johnson)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JaredJohnson.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/SydCollier_alt1.jpg

Age: 22, 21

Finisher: Texas Cloverleaf

John’s thoughts: Two technicians, these guys are both real talented, and have found themselves in the title scene a couple of times, and for good reason.

The Heartbreakers (Justin Sensitive and Raphael)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JustinSensitive_alt.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Raphael_alt2.jpg

Age: 25, 23

Finisher: Heartbreaker (Double Knee Gutbuster)

John’s thoughts: They’ve been teaming for years in RIPW, so it was only a matter of time until Sensitive came in to team with Raphael here, too. They could actually be the ones to take the titles off of Death Row.

Team America (Matt Hocking, Joe Cool)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MattHocking.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RegularJoe.jpg

Age: 22, 21

Finisher: Double Superkick

John’s thoughts: They started out as title contenders, but have slowly petered off into relative jobbers. They’ve been building up experience as a team and individual skills, though, so they could se themselves as contenders again someday.

The Paratroopers (Paradigm, Paradox)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Paradigm.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Paradox.jpg

Age: 22, 21

Finisher: They have one?

John’s thoughts: The absolute worst wrestlers on the roster. There’s something about Paradox, though, that says he could be star. Maybe he should get a mask.

The Atlantic Connection (Curtis Jenkins, Riley McManus)

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CurtisJenkins.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RileyMcManus.jpg

Age: 26, 24

Finisher: Atlantic Stretch (Dual leg lock)

John’s thoughts: The other technician team. Unfortunately, neither have shown the ability to grow as wrestlers and are rather bland. That said, their experience as a team is enough to keep them around as jobbers, I’d say.

Really great stuff. I don't know why I don't post in this one. American Patriot turning heel, though? Will he become...the Dark Patriot? Hmmm?

El Mitico Jr. & Ant-Man vs. The Awesomeness

The number one thing to get me loving Ant-Man more is to put him with an awesome worker. El Mitico Jr. is that awesome worker. Keep these two together, will ya?

Knuckles vs. Raphael

He'll be wiping blood off of his knuckles after this one.

Remmy Skye vs. Robbie Wright

Robbie can talk, but he's nothing in the ring compared to the stoned Skye.

Cam Jones & Miller Fforde vs. C-V-2

Won't give Miller a win until he drops that second "f" from his last name.

Steve Flash vs. Jay Chord

Although I hate picking against Steve Flash, Jay Chord is just too good. A total prick, but still good.

Amazing Fire Fly vs. Atlas

Don't like Fire Fly's chances in this one.

El Mitico Jr. & Ant-Man vs. The Awesomeness

I don't see Mitico coming in to be a liability of the Ant-Man lead stable, he will only make them stronger. Awesomeness seem to be on something of a losing streak as well.

Knuckles vs. Raphael

Another cheap win for the Heartbreakers as they continue to get under the skin of the tag champs. This Tag Title rivarly is certainly a step up from the days of The Awesomeness vs Team America.

Remmy Skye vs. Robbie Wright

Wright may be the graduate with the most potential to become a 'star' but at this stage the 'veteran' in Skye should still go over.

Cam Jones & Miller Fforde vs. C-V-2

Squash

Steve Flash vs. Jay Chord

As much as you would love to job out Chord for being a prick, it is of some benefit to MAW to keep him reasonably strong. I could see a scenario where Chord manages to goad the increasingly aggressive Flash into a DQ.

Amazing Fire Fly vs. Atlas

As much as I would love Amazing Fire Fly to pull off the upset, it's not going to happen.

<span style="color:#FF0000;"> “I’m not sorry.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

American Patriot in the ring, alone. He wore a smile on his face, much like the one he had two weeks ago when he destroyed Jean Cattley.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">“I’ve gotten a lot of ugly looks the past two weeks. People have tried to sway my mind. They’ve tried to get me back. To them, I have this to say: I never left. I’m still the same person I was before. I’m still here for the fans. I still have the same values, the same morals that make me who I am. The only difference is that I refuse to protect the legacy of that man-”</span> he pointed an accusing finger at Rip Chord <span style="color:#FF0000;">“-anymore! I ditched that pressure, and I’m better off for it. Emily was right, Rip, you’re no good for this company. I’m going to destroy your influence, Rip, and there’s not a damn thing you can do stop me. Patriot was cut off as “Mean” Jean Cattley’s music blasted through the speakers, and the veteran technician stood out on the stage. The two locked eyes before Cattley beat a sprint down to the ring, where the two clashed in a tornado of fists and feet. The brawl didn’t last long, though, as a number of wrestlers, including The Atlantic Connection, The Paratroopers, Findlay, and Team America were quick to act and split the two up before they could do any real damage to each other. </p><p> </p><p>

As Patriot struggled to free himself, he wore a sick smile on his face, but Cattley was decidedly more serious as he lifted a mic to his lips. </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The former champs have been slowing down considerably since losing their tag titles, Ant-Man and Mitico proved to be the latest in the line of speed bumps. The newly formed duo worked over Cannonball and Stardust fairly easily, and finished them off when Mitico slapped an arm bar on Stardust while Ant-Man intercepted Cannonball, holding him outside the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <strong>Ant-Man and Mitico win, 54</strong></p><p>

Cannonball and Stardust hung their heads low after the match. Their disappointment was nothing compared to Bowen’s, however, who clambered into the ring to scream at her clients before walking out. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Knuckles came looking for a fight, but what he got was more of a car chase, as he spent the majority of the match trying to get his hands on the wily Heartbreaker. When he did, he proceeded to lay a beating on Raph until he went for a power bomb to end the match. Raph took a page out of his tag partner’s book, though, and quickly dropped to his to deliver a sick low blow before beating feet to the back as Jay Fair called for the DQ. </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Knuckles wins by DQ, 51</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The ****y youngster Wright was obviously not paying attention to Rip’s lessons of what not to do in the ring, as he spent valuable time preening about after every little move he executed. And, believe me, they were little, for the most part. Skye, being the talented competitor he is, easily took advantage of this and finished the match with an easy Skye Diver (Corkscrew Moonsault). </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Skye wins, 41</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Ford Gumble approached the ring after the match.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">“Remmy, I’m begging ya, call off this match. I don’t wanna fight you. Not like this.” </span></p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">

“Call off the match? Now why on God’s green earth would I do that?”</span> Remmy asked. </p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#FF0000;">

“Remmy, we’re friends. Friends ain’t supposed to fight like this!”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Remmy thought about that for a moment. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“Ford, we ain’t friends. After all, would a friend do this?”</span> Remmy said before throwing a wild right toward Gumble.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>QUICK DRAW KICK!</strong> Gumble countered the attack easily and dropped Remmy to the ground. Somberly, he lifted the microphone to his lips. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“No, Remmy, I guess a friend wouldn’t.”</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The Alliance of Honor were walking backstage, laughing at a joke Ant-Man had just told, when they were approached by Trent Schafer.</p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#FF0000;">

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,”</span> Schafer said. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“Something here definitely isn’t right!” </span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">“Que?”</span> Mitico asked. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">“That’s it!”</span> Schafer exclaimed after a moment of thought. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“You’ve got a beautiful lady walking around with a bunch of freaks that are too ugly to show their faces! Dharma, I’m begging you, save yourself and come over to the beautiful side. We’re far outnumbered around here, and could definitely use you.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Dharma acted appalled before Ant-Man stepped up. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“Schafer, you’d better watch your mouth. Like you said, you are outnumbered.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">“Back off, Ant, I was talking to the lady. Now, Dharma-”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Ant-Man cut him off. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“No, I was talking to you. You wanna talk to her, you’re going to have to go through me.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

Schafer smirked. <span style="color:#FF0000;">“Aww, that’s cute. The freak’s defending her honor. I’ll tell ya what, freak, at ‘Battle, I’ll take you up on that offer, and go straight through you to her. Oh, and I’ll take that shiny gold belt while I’m at it.”</span></p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">

“You’ve got yourself a match, then,”</span> Ant-Man replied.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Cam Jones and Miller Fforde vs. C-V-2</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CameronJones.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MillerFforde.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CameronVessey.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CaseyValentine_alt1.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Who knows, maybe someday Jones and Fforde can be as good as Vessey and Valentine, but they’re nowhere near their level yet, and the former tag champs ran straight through the dojo grads on route to a convincing win via Vessey Driver (Spinning DVD). While Valentine pranced about celebrating his win after the match, Vessey walked straight to the back. Clearly, he saw no point in celebrating such an easy win. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> C-V-2 win, 54</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Steve Flash vs. Jay Chord</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/SteveFlash_alt1.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JayChord.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Flash looked threatening enough, making his entrance with a heavy chain hung around his neck and locking a maniacal stare on Chord. Chord, the brash young competitor he is, didn’t back down from the challenge the veteran presented, though. Flash, as has become the norm for him, completely abandoned his technical background and engaged in a spirited brawl with Chord. The two went at it for the better part 14 minutes before Chord was able to get a surprise roll up on Flash, shocking everyone, himself included, as Jay Fair counted to three. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Chord wins, 62</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Chord’s celebration was short lived, however, as Flash struck him behind with that heavy chain. With a wicked grin on his face, Flash wrapped the chain around his hand before mounting Chord and raining down shots, bloodying the former Traditional champ, and leaving the crowd stunned at the outburst. Finally done, Flash stood over the unconscious Chord licking the blood off of the chain as the medical team rushed out to assist Jay.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Amazing Fire Fly vs. Atlas</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In what could be considered the biggest match of Fly’s career, the young flyer took on the Mid Atlantic Champion Atlas. Atlas has made a career of overpowering his challengers, and he didn’t deviate from that plan here. Fly, however, did make it extremely difficult for him, as the young man flew about the ring, escaping the grasp of Atlas time and time again. That wasn’t going to last forever, though, as Fire Fly soon found out when he came flying off the top and Atlas caught him with both hands around his neck in mid air. Slamming the tiny man down effortlessly with a World Bomb, Atlas covered him for the win. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong> Atlas wins, 53</strong></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

As Atlas stood over Fly, the lights in the arena suddenly cut off. Seconds later, when the power returned, the crowd came alive with excitement when The Great Ota was revealed to be standing directly behind the giant.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FumihiroOta_alt5.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

When Atlas spun around to meet his enemy, he was greeted with a blast of black mist directly in his eyes! Groping at his eyes, Atlas let out a roar before Ota lashed out with an axe kick that sent Atlas staggering back and through the ropes! Atlas continued to claw at his eyes as Ota celebrated in the ring, having become the first person to really put Atlas out on his ass. </p><p> </p><p>

Congrats to TheLeviticalLawKid, Tigerkinney, and Emark on the all earning the very first perfect predictions this diary’s seen! Admittedly, I’m a bit shocked that it’s taken this long, but maybe that’s just because I’ve thrown out some WTF-inducing booking decisions that no one’s been able to get a handle on <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Ahh, that you did. You still had the type of ending picked out, so I give you bonus points. With these, you can purchase a number of American Patriot's now-obsolete face-themed merchandise!

<p>Walking up to the Biker Museum, I couldn’t help but notice the massive banner hanging on the outer wall. </p><p> </p><p>

“Mid Atlantic Wrestling,” it read, “Home of the Future.” </p><p> </p><p>

We were in Delaware for just under a year, but I couldn’t help but get the feeling that we were going to make this our permanent home. There was just something about it in the back of my head. Maybe something a retired old wrestler had told me…</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, Rip called us in early because he had an announcement to make. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“Alright, everyone, gather around,”</span> he said as the roster began flooding into the building. <span style="color:#0000FF;">“I know you’re all a little pissed that I called you in early, but this is important. Lately, I’ve been giving you all a little leeway with how long your matches run, and I’ve gotta, the results have been pretty damn good. That said, some of you are taking advantage of it and running way too long. For the most part, this hasn’t been a problem, but there’s a select few that are taking advantage,”</span> he said, shooting a playful glare at Jean. Jean feigned being shocked, and the whole room got a pretty good chuckle. </p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#0000FF;">

“So me and Jean put our heads together, and we’ve decided to implement time limits on the matches.”</span></p><p> </p><p>

A quiet roar rose over the crowd as we all began to mull over what this meant. </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">“We’re not going to be one of those promotions that announces “5 minutes left” or does a coutdown or anything, this’ll be a total surprise to the crowd when it happens. It’ll give us a little leeway with booking, and we can go some other routes with rivalries and crap like that. As for the time limits, it’s 15 minutes for non-title bouts, and 25 for title matches. Me and Jean are gonna be going around talking with each of you individually, going over your reworked matches, so stick around.”</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>Remmy Skye vs. Ford Gumble</p><p> </p><p>

<em>So these two finally get it on, and as its the first match I'm going to say this ends in a no contest, double count draw...setting up a rematch with a no count-out, no DQ stip next month. </em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Team America</strong> vs. The Awesomeness</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Oh how far the Tag Divsion has moved on, many moons ago these two teams were challenging over the title and until they re-appeared recently I had actually forgotten who Team America were. Both of these teams could do with the win, but I'm going to tip the team I had forgotten about over the team in the more obvious slump that is being played up as an angle.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ant-Man ©</strong> vs. Trent Schafer for the Mid Atlantic Traditional title</p><p> </p><p>

<em>I can see Trent holding this belt some point in the future (unless he takes a fast track to the main event and by passes the midcard belt) but he isn't going to be ending Ant-Man's reign here.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

Steve Flash and Culture Shock vs. <strong>Cameron Vessey, Casey Valentine, and Jay Chord</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>There will be cracks within the Succession trio as Vessey refuses to go along with the blatant cheating of his stable mates (showing further signs of his slow burn face turn) but it will be crazy Steve Flash that cracks causing his team to lose by DQ.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

The Great Ota vs. <strong>Atlas ©</strong> for the Mid Atlantic Championship</p><p> </p><p>

<em>A 'good monster' still sucks </em><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><em> But you need to build someone up to be the one to end his reign of terror (as in terrible main events) and Ota just hasn't been built up enough.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

“Mean” Jean Cattley vs.<strong> American Patriot</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Patriot's heel turn is going to mean diddly squat if he doesn't win the first match of this feud.</em></p>

I'm actually incredibly disappointed in Atlas. His stats would suggest that he would perform much, <em>much</em> better than he actually does. He actually has a 74 psychology, and his selling (50) is the only thing that drags him down to a 70 performance skills stat. That said, Patriot has almost the exact same ratings, and he puts on much better matches. I'm beginning to think that I missed an interview where Atlas mentioned he gets nervous the more he gets pushed.

Friday Week 4, August 2011

In front of 1,414 wild MAW fans at North Carolina’s Biker Museum!

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CatJemsonj.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JustinSensitive_alt.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Raphael_alt2.jpg

Cat Jemson was putting together a salad at the catering table when The Heartbreakers snuck on the manager.

“Hey, hey, pretty lady,” Raphael whispered in her.

Jemson jumped, startled, and her salad spilled out onto the floor.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” she demanded.

“Whoa, Kitty Cat, settle down a bit! The only thing wrong with us is that we don’t have your fine self walking to the ring with us every month,” Sensitive answered.

Jemson rolled her eyes. “Oh, is that so?”

“Yeah, baby, that’s so,” Raphael said. “So why don’t you come back to the Heartbreak Hotel with us, and we can hash out an agreement, savvy?”

“Ya know, I’ve got a better idea…” Cat said, as Death Row suddenly appeared out of nowhere, ambushing the lecherous duo.

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Knuckles-1.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/ShadyK.jpg

Shady K powered bombed Sensitive through the catering table, and Raphael was quick to follow as Knuckles threw him down on top of his partner. Shady K spit on the team before Cat grabbed the arms of the tag champs and walked away with her head held high.

Remmy Skye vs. Ford Gumble

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RemmySkye.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/FordGumble_alt1.jpg

This match was a barnstormer, and a great way to kick off the show. After the incident at Showcase, Ford finally seemed willing to duke it out with Remmy, and these two showed just exactly how much they disliked once another as they threw everything in their collective arsenals at one another. Ford was itching to drop Skye with a Quick Draw Kick throughout the entire match, but Skye was able to avoid the devastating move. The match came to abrupt and brutal end, though, when Skye tossed Ford to the outside. Ford took a bit of time to recover, after which Skye took a running start and leapt over the ropes, intending to land squarely on Gumble and drop the Texas Hitman. Ford had other plans, however, and when Skye took to the air, the Texan quickly spun around, swinging a chair with all his might at the soaring Skye, causing the Georgian to go limp. As Skye began to gush blood from his forehead, Ford threw down the chair and coldly walked away to the back as Jay Fair had no choice but to give Skye the DQ win.

Skye wins by DQ, 61.

“Amigos,” El Mitico said, “be careful. Flash may be on your side tonight, but he’s muy loco. He’s got the blood lust, los ojos locos.”

Apollo nodded his head in agreement. “Believe me, we’re watching our backs. There was a time that I respected Flash, but the man he’s become…”

“He’s scary,” Fire Fly said. “But he’s good.”

“Si, that I cannot deny,” Mitico said.

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/SteveFlash_alt1.jpg

There was a pause, and then Steve Flash himself burst through the door, his eyes wild. Around his neck, he wore his heavy chain, with Jay Chord’s blood still darkening it.

“Are you ready?” he asked. “It’s almost time to bleed, boys!”

Fire Fly and Apollo exchanged a nervous look before shrugging and walking away with Flash. Mitico, left behind, only shook his head.

Team America vs. The Awesomeness w/ Lisa Bowen

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MattHocking.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/RegularJoe.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/HueyCannonball_alt1.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JeffersonStardust.jpgw/http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/LisaBowen.jpg

This time last year, it wouldn’t be out of place to see these two battling it out over the tag team championship, but both teams have hit a rough patch as of late. The Awesomeness seemed like they were on the road to a resurgence here, but that was suddenly ended when Joe Cool suddenly surprised Cannonball with a quick rollup that earned Team America the win.

Team America win, 48.

“That. Is. IT!” Lisa Bowen shrieked, climbing into the ring. “You two are nothing but a couple of losers! It’s clear to me that I’m wasting my considerable talents on you. As of this moment, I am officially ditching you. I don’t care if it means I lose my 9.85% of your pay, that’s practically nothing now anyway.”

With that, she turned on her heels and proceeded to storm off. Stardust, worried, gently grabbed her by the arm, but she spun around, slapping the taste out of his mouth, before smirking and leaving.

***********************************************************************************

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Atlas_alt2.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/JayChord.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CameronVessey.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/CaseyValentine_alt1.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/QueenEmily.jpg

“Tonight’s a big night,” Emily said. “Tonight is the night that that mute freak that tried to blind me finally gets what’s coming to him.”

Casey and Jay smiled, nodding to themselves. Atlas flexed in the background, and Cameron stood around, disinterested.

“Not only that,” she continued, “But we’ve got two of Rip’s two lieutenants ready to tear each other apart tonight. You’ve all got matches tonight, so I need you to get out of my sight and get ready for them.”

As The Succession turned and left Emily’s newly-established office space, the manager turned to due some filing.

“Ahem.” It was Vessey.

“I thought I told you to get out of my sight.”

“Ma’am, I need to talk to you.”

“Vessey, I do the talking around here.”

“…I want my title shot.”

“What?”

“My title shot. That I earned when I won the Invitational.”

“No.”

“No?”

“No. We already have the title. You winning that tournament was a back up plan that I didn’t need. You don’t get your title shot.”

“I earned it!”

“No, I earned it!" Emily snapped. "And if you keep pursuing this, I’m terminating your contract!”

“You can’t do that!”

“The hell I can't! Now get the hell out of my office!”

Ant-Man © w/ Dharma Gregg vs. Trent Schafer for the Mid Atlantic Traditional title

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/DharmaGregg.jpgw/http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/Ant-Man_al7.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/vs.jpghttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/TrentShaffer.jpg

http://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae141/coco_beans08/Johnny%20Heizenger/MAW_Traditional.jpg

Schafer continued on his impressive run since coming to MAW, bringing the fight straight to the champion. Utilizing his speed to keep the powerful Ant-Man off balance, he was able to control Ant-Man for much of the match. Ant-Man was able to stay in it, though, and the two began to trade momentum, looking relatively even until Ant-Man was able to counter a charging Schafer, tossing him a dizzying height into the air before bringing him down with an Ant-Slam (Flapjack power slam) for the win.

Ant-Man retains, 61.

This match was full of action right from beginning to end. The only problem was, neither team seemed to be completely on the same page. Vessey seemed unwilling to work with Valentine and Chord, and Culture Shock were almost scared to tag in Flash. When they finally did, though, Flash began to clean house, throwing wild shots and unnecessary risks to take control. When he uncharacteristically climbed to the top, however, Chord had him scouted. Crotching him on the top rope, Chord dragged Flash out and hit him with a Super DDT to secure the win for his team.

The Succession win, 64.

“Where the hell do you get off?” Findlay snarled as he latched his meaty paw around the throat of Robbie Wright. “I don’t care who you were trained by or how good you think you are, but you haven’t done a damn thing in this business to deserve anything.”

With that, Findlay tightened his grip, causing Wright’s eyes to bulge a bit before releasing the brash yougnster and storming off. Wright grasped at his throat, trying to catch his breath when Trent Schafer walked up.

“You don’t have to take this, you know,” Schafer said.

“You’re damn right I don’t,” Wright snapped. “I have pedigree, damn it!”

“That’s right, you do. Me and you, we’re gonna change things around here.”

Before the match began, Ota sprayed the black mist in the air before locking eyes with Atlas and drawing his thumb across his throat as the viscous liquid rained down on himself. Atlas didn’t let the threat worry him, as he attacked with his usual reckless abandon, doing his best to overwhelm the veteran ninja. The Darkness Warrior proved to be a slippery target, though, and unlike Amazing Fire Fly, was able to mix his elusiveness with strong attacks. Using his trademark off-balance stance, Ota was able to brutalize the champ with strong strikes and quick attacks that showed off his impeccable technique.

After a particularly strong hit, Atlas had backed up into the corner to recover, where Ota charged in with a handspring that he attempted to turn into a back kick. Atlas showed surprising agility, though, and dodged the move, before turning the tables and charging in at Ota, now in the corner. Ota, however, also saw the attack coming, and sprayed Atlas with that blinding black mist. Staggering back, Atlas was dragged toward the corner by Ota, who threw himself over the ropes, attempting to lock in the rope hung Boston crab. As he was just locking the move in, though, Atlas broke free, and with a roar, charged Ota, who was now standing on the apron. Leading with his shoulder, Atlas threw all of his weight into Ota, knocking the ninja off the turnbuckle and to ringside, where his head sickly smacked the barrier. With Ota lying motionless on the ground, Jay Fair was forced to count The Darkness Warrior out. The fans were especially disappointed after seeing Ota put up such a great fight against the champion.

Atlas retains by count out, 58

“I’m a man of the people,” Patriot said. “I was before, when I was brainwashed into Rip Chord’s way of thinking, and I am now that I’ve been enlightened.”

The masked warrior sighed.

“I’m fighting for all of you! So you can have a better MAW, I have turned on people that I once called friends. I realize that some of you out there don’t really appreciate what I’ve done, and I understand that. You’ll see what my work means, someday. But for now, I’ll accept your hatred. I’ll become what you’ve been calling me, and someday you’ll see that it was necessary. For all of you, I’ll set down the red, white and blue. For you, I’ll become the Black Flag.”

It was here that Patriot was cut off, as Mean Jean Cattley’s music cut through the air and the former champ hurried out, pointing a threatening finger toward Patriot.

“Mean” Jean Cattley vs. “The Black Flag” American Patriot

The hatred these two have for one another really shone through during this match. From body language alone, one could tell Cattley truly despised Patriot for his treachery. It wasn’t long before the other signs of hatred, namely stiff chops, forearms, kicks, and eye gouges came out play. These two literally tore into each, and the brutality they engaged in easily eclipsed that of the cage match they had over the championship last year. Cattley was somehow able to work the technical style he’s been known for into a brawl-friendly style that was more high impact than slow and methodical, and it really payed off to step the match up a notch.

Just when the match began to get really hot, with both men tearing into each other on the outside, the ring bell suddenly rang, signifying the end of the match. Cattley looked confusedly at Jay Fair, who explained that even though he hadn’t reached the ten count, the two men had reached their 15-minute time limit. Trying to argue the decision with Fair, Cattley never saw Patriot storm up behind him, grabbing the Mean Machine and throwing him overhead with an American Suplex (Backdrop Driver). Once again, the show ended as Patriot lorded over his on and off again enemy.

The match is a time limit draw, 62

Total: 56
