Windows 7

I am frustrated like crazy over this, because I haven't figured it out yet all morning.

Does anyone know how to do a search on your computer for specific types of files (I want to search for all my DAZ executable files, for example). I can search the computer by just typing in the search window a name "ps_pe" and everything with that comes up, which is most of my executable files from Daz, but.... I also get pictures and everythign else with that search.

I want to be able to only see the executable files, so I can put them in order (numerically), so I can reset all my files in both Daz and Poser.

I'm frustrated because I never had a problem searching before getting windows 7, however, I never had the desire to do a full computer search before, since getting windows 7.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Should only bring up exe files then I would imagine</p>

Try clicking on the Windows orb/symbol in the bottom left on the taskbar. When the menu comes up type *.exe in the search bar and right-click on one of the results. Choose "Open file location." You can change the .exe to whatever filetype you need.

I know there are better ways to find what you need, but this is the easiest and quickest that I have found.

<p>Using '*.whatever' will allow you to search for everything that has that file format at the end. So if you want an EXE - search *.exe and if you want a JPEG - search *.JPG </p><p> </p><p>

Hope that's what you were asking... if not, my apologies. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
