samuricex
If you're talking about the Business Plan section then I've read that. But I just thought that you could switch between them through an option since event-driven is the "default".
ripwalk
This is covered in the help file. It's nice that Adam has a presence on the forums, but responses like this don't really serve much purpose in my opinion. What does it do except frustrate the poster and discourage them from posting questions on the forum again? Obviously a lot of things are covered in the help file, but the vast majority of your CUSTOMERS, haven't committed the entire thing to memory, believe it or not, nor do they want to go look through the large document every time they have a simple question that hopefully a helpful someone in the community can quickly answer. It would be nice if people could ask and answer simple questions on these forums without being patronized by the game's developer. I had questioned before why there isn't a very active WMMA community on these forums, I'm now beginning to see why that might be. As for the question itself, I know it's an option that can be set within the editor, but I don't know about how to switch it in game (and don't have the game in front of me to check right now). Hopefully you find/have found your answer.

ripwalk
Control + F is your friend. My point had absolutely nothing to do with how easy or challenging it is to find the answer to this or any question of the game. My point was only that I think the developer could show some more tact in answering the questions of the customers who help pay his bills by supporting his games. Or he could not even respond at all and let someone in the community answer, if typing out the actual answer was something he deemed too time consuming, which is fair enough, as he does have to make the game, after all. Eidenhoek
Oh, I thought just the demo was out. The full game is already? Nice. Because we aren't exactly "customers" until we pay.

OK, you're grasping at straws. Have you ever purchased an Adam Ryland game in the past? Do you plan on buying WMMA 3? If so, you are a paying customer. Or if you still don't consider yourself to be one, then you are a potential customer, which is even more reason why snarky dismissive responses should be avoided by someone who wants as many people as possible to purchase the game. Mattduck
Valid point Ripwalk has a valid point. It takes little effort to cut and paste the answer to the forum. If Mr. Ryland feels he is too busy to do this thats fine also, just let another player post the answer. No blood no foul.
Adam Ryland
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. It's not dismissive to point people to the help file - it's there for a reason, answers lots of commonly asked questions, and most people don't use it. By directing the user to read it, it makes it more likely that he will become acquainted with it, use it in the future, and have a better understanding of the game.
