gottabekb
This isnt something that needs to be fixed as I read in the improvements that this would happen. Has anyone else had a fighter be completly robbed Phan-Garcia style yet. If so who was fighting? I had Gleeson get a gift split decision over Gilbert earlier today. Very cool. Had me instantly think of the Phan fight last weekend. >Another match is about to begin; 'The Truck Man' Truck Gleeson fights 'The Cleveland Stormer' Moss Gilbert in the GAMMA Lightweight division. >There's the opening bell! >Gleeson counters a flurry of punches with a straight left. >Gilbert feints stepping in. >Gleeson waits out a flurry of punches and then hits a clean jab. >Gilbert steps in, feints a kick, then darts back out. >Gleeson counters a flurry of punches with a nice jab. >Gilbert looks like he wants to stand in the pocket and strike with Gleeson. >Gilbert is in the pocket, ready to attack Gleeson. >Gilbert checks a low kick and quickly hits a quick right hook, catching Gleeson wide open and putting him down! >Almost immediately Gleeson has shaken it off and is ready for Gilbert. >We pass the halfway mark of this round. >Gilbert motions for Gleeson to stand up, which he does. >Gleeson counters a left jab with a kick to the inside of the left thigh. >Gilbert slips out of the way of a jab. >Gleeson steps back to avoid a flurry of punches after falling for a clever feint. >We have one minute of the round remaining. >Both fighters come toe-to-toe and strike, but none of the strikes result in significant damage being done. >Gleeson counters a flurry of punches with a hard right kick to the legs. >Time expires and we come to the end of round one. >An extremely close round, could have gone either way, but personally I'll give it to Gleeson 10-9. >Round two begins! >Moving forward, Gilbert counters a left jab with a flurry of jabs and straight punches. >Gilbert moves in quickly after a wayward punch and hits a series of quick jabs. >A jab doesn't find its intended target, allowing Gilbert to fire back with a nice jab. >Gilbert darts in, feints a jab, darts back out. >Gilbert comes in closer, looking to attack from the pocket. >Gilbert is in the pocket, ready to attack Gleeson. >Gleeson uses head movement to dodge a punch, then strikes back with a kick to the inside of the left thigh. >We've now passed the halfway mark in this round. >Gleeson uses head movement to slip past a punch, then hits a vicious leg kick. >Gilbert checks a low kick. >Not comfortable in the pocket, Gilbert steps back and creates some space. >A quick exchange of strikes produces nothing worth mentioning. >A flurry of rights and lefts all miss, allowing Gleeson to hit a vicious leg kick. >A low kick is checked by Gilbert. >There's under a minute left in this round. >Gilbert backs away to create some more space. >Both fighters advance and strike, but neither hits anything. >Gilbert fakes a lunge. >Not letting up, Gleeson steps in closer to pressure Gilbert into action. >Time expires and we come to the end of round two. >There was very little to separate them in that round, but I'll give that one 10-9 to Gilbert. >We are back underway! >It sounded like his corner told Gleeson to stand with Gilbert, but to be careful not to get caught. >They exchange strikes, but neither fighter inflicts any real damage. >Gilbert avoids several big right hands and counters with a nice jab. >Gleeson tries for a left jab but Gilbert moves out of range. >A flicked jab from Gleeson only finds gloves. >The fight slows as Gilbert sits back and allows Gleeson to circle. >Gilbert circles as he plans his next move. >Gleeson presses in closer to attack. >We are now at the halfway point of the round. >An exchange of strikes doesn't lead to any real damage. >Gleeson tries for a leg kick but Gilbert moves out of range. >Gleeson avoids a jab and scores with a kick to the inside of the left leg. >Truck Gleeson doesn't look like he has much left in the tank. >A right kick to the legs misses and Gilbert fires back with a series of quick lefts. >There's under a minute left in this round. >Advancing, Gilbert counters a left jab by using a quick series of punches. >Gilbert counters an attempted body kick by scoring with a solid left jab. >We reach the time limit and this fight is over. >That has to go down as a 10-9 round to Gilbert. >The official scores are being reported now. >Judge #1 gives a score of 29-28 in favour of Gleeson. >Judge #2 has scored it 29-28 Gilbert. >Judge #3 has given 29-28 to Gleeson. >'The Truck Man' Truck Gleeson wins by split decision! >The fans are booing, and rightly so; Gilbert has been robbed by the judges!>Official Result: 'The Truck Man' Truck Gleeson defeats 'The Cleveland Stormer' Moss Gilbert (Split Decision in 5:00 of round 3)
Pogo92
Hahah, that's absolutely great. I like how the fans booed in response, too.
Hawk1665
I had one. Heiji Endo vs. Bambang Sriyanto. Endo controlled rounds one, two, four, five & six using wrestling. He did almost no damage, but Sriyanto offered no offense at all in this rounds. In Round Three, Sriyanto went nuts. He got a thai plum and went to town with elbows and knees the entire round. Endo barely survived and was bleeding. The judges gave the fight to Sriyanto. The fight took place in Japan too. Very surprising.
gottabekb
What does blow my mind is how the commentating could say it was a close round when Gleeson got dropped.... Wouldnt that be a clear 10-9 unless he managed to rock/drop Gilbert?
Carparama
I'm thrilled that Truck won that fight. He's one of my favourite fighters in the Universe.

Since ALPHA-1 uses the PRIDE system, that actually sounds pretty right.
Comradebot
I actually had a guy get (by the announcer's view) 10-9 on his opponent two of three rounds, with the other guy getting 10-9 in the second... And the judges gave the win to the guy who the announcer gave two 10-9s, causing the fans to boo and, as the announcer said, "rightly so". REALLY?! YOU just said the guy won two of the rounds and now you're saying the other guy was robbed?! Panderer.
