Eternal Damnation
Im playing as SWF. i have a 30 man elimination over the top rope match. Rich Money ends up winning, but the match is a E+. all my other matches were A and B+ with one B. the show overall is coming out to a D- and the rumble match itself is for 60 minutes. So im guessing the Rumble is the only match that is bringing the grade doooowwwwn. Any help so i can get a better rating?? and also, for the booking notes, i have over book, Marat kept strong, Money is the winner, and everyone go all out. should i add Sports entertainment finish? ahhh
20LEgend
all out: change it to slow build, probably would use keep strong
GruntMark
Yeah. You might be getting dinged for everyone who cant go all out. And the crowd getting burned out from the constant action. Also, make sure its not too jobber heavy. I dont know your whole roster, but if you are leveraging alot of really poor talent, consider cutting it to 20. Greg McNeish
Yeah, in a battle royal, everyone is rated equally, whether they're in there for 30 seconds, or 30 minutes. So, even though you've got some main eventers in there, Jobber #8 is dragging the whole thing down. Battle royals are a really fun way to move stories along, while giving lots of people some exposure, as well as some training time, but they're generally not winners from a grading standpoint. Unless I'm only doing a 10-man, with ALL of my top stars, I never have a battle royal anywhere near the main event of a show, or even in the semi-main slot. Put it earlier in the card, and even if it tanks, it won't hurt you very much. You can even look at the WWE/WWF, for examples of this. Whenever they've got a less-than-stellar Royal Rumble, they don't have it close out the show. It's always a gamble to bank your show on something that involves so many workers. It's too easy to have the bad overshadow the good.
Comradebot
Going all out for that long will BRUTALIZE the rating. It's probably the single reason the grade is so god awful. It's hard enough to get a couple of guys to go all out for 16 minutes, let alone have an hour of it. It burns out the fans and the workers can't handle it (whose to say Rich wasn't in there at number three?) Rest of the advice looks pretty sound. Eternal Damnation
i dont have jobbers lol. just my midcarders and up. but i'll change the booking notes to slow build, and make it a 20 or 10 man battle royal. wish me luck
NWO4until01
The game doesnt simulate battle royales realistically, that is the problem.
Remianen
i dont have jobbers lol. just my midcarders and up. Midcarders are jobbers, when compared to the likes of Faith, Money, Bruce, etc. When you have people of often widely disparate overness levels in a match together, the less popular workers stand out like a gangrenous digit. Who the heck gives a crap about Aristocrat and Bart Biggz when Faith & Bruce are going at it on the other side of the ring? A word of advice: don't use all out on long matches. That's what slow build was added for. The overbook note was a very good choice though. But 60 minute battle royales are an awful, awful idea. As said, the worker with the WORST stamina in the match will wind up tanking the rating because they're gassed. The game doesn't know that that worker was eliminated 30 seconds into the match and I'm fairly certain you don't have 30 men with A or better stamina AND the psychology to support a match like that (I'd say B or B+ or better), especially with an all out note. The notes you added basically told 30 men to put on an Ultimate X style match (lots of spots and action) for AN HOUR STRAIGHT while keeping Marat strong and having Rich Money win. This match was made for slow build. I'm assuming you want the last two people to be Marat & Money and somehow Money gets the monster over the top rope? That doesn't happen with eleventy billion spots going on for the whole hour. Build to it, having Marat be unstoppable and eliminate a whole bunch of people as they all try to gang up on him to get him out.
TakerNGN74
Going all out in a rumble probably isn't a good idea simply because you have a variety of guys in it and while some of them can go all out a lot of them probably cant.
