I'm not, personally. The pattern is fairly predictable. You can notch down the demands of somebody to a certain degree and just keep proposing the same deal a couple of times. They will crack in the end.

Contract negotiations are a chore, not a fun part of the game. If I had my choice, I would just have the deals you can get with fighters depend on your Negotiating skill and completely eliminate all the messing around with drop-down menus, or maybe convert it to some type of minigame.

I think Recettear did this fairly well - sure, the game was mainly about haggling over random garbage, but the presentation was charming enough to make it enjoyable. And that game had negotiation mechanics even simpler than WMMA3.

More features do not equal more enjoyable.

I am loving the negotiations in this game. It's like playing chicken. As Jennifer Avatar, I usually win.

It's like: "Whatcha got, bub? You wanna play chicken with me? I've got a semi and you've gotta Volkswagon. Guess who's gonna win?"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Did you get your you know whats out?

It's not so much the negotiations that are better, but the limitations the CEO imposes on you that makes the game challenging again. As ALPHA-1, even though I had a ton of money, I couldn't blindly sign each and every fighter that I wanted to like in WMMA2. Now I have to make sure my company growth and fighter growth are in sync, otherwise I won't be able to resign the fighters that outgrow my company.

This in turns makes managing negotiations much more important, especially for a company who doesn't have a whole lot of money. You really need to throw huge contracts on your key fighters to avoid CEO restrictions and plan company growth accordingly. Exclusive contracts are less valuable now because it causes so much inflation too (fighters demanding more and more money).

Anyway, WMMA3 has definitely made some big changes in terms of challenge.
