Guest Penn68
I'm just starting wmma 3 and haven't played any of the previous ones. With that said does anyone have any tips or advice for a completely new player. I don't really know even how to get started with the first few events. Benrollo
One thing to make sure is that you don't blow all your big matches on your initial one or two cards. Have a title match as the main event of your shows and maybe a match between top contenders as the co main event. Also, sign a few guys who will be easy wins for the guys on your roster, these are known as 'cans'. These are good for building up gits or maybe giving them a good win after they've had a loss. Honestly, one of the most fun things in this game is when a 'can' wins, throwing off your plans completely. Like, a champion loses his title to a split decision, and the guy who won the title successfully defended it against the guy who won the no.1 contenders match, then you try and give the former champ a win going into the rematch for the title, and he loses to a can in an upset. It actually keeps the game from getting boring and repetitive, atleast IMO, sure it can be annoying, but then you gotta find another contender. I think having a title match as the main event is a really good way, and a good top contenders match for the co-main event, though I can say some of my most successful cards didn't feature a title match. But I was a Regional Company , meaning no one on my roster was below co-main event level, with most people main event level. Though that could've been due to my 9 in promotion, thoughts? Yeah I agree, cans winning can sometimes make it more exciting. As long as it's not against someone I'm trying to build as unstoppable though, haha. Yeah could be. I've not played around with the avatar points or the lucky dip feature yet, had 5-5-5-5 in all my games so far. Think next time I start a new game I'll try different stats. EDIT - Just as I write this, perennial can Reinhardt Rhett beats title contender Palmer Lette.
Guest Penn68
I understand how to book mma, I know how to build a fighters rep through easy wins and i know not to blow all my big matches. My problems are with the actual game. What do i need to do in the beginning, other than setting up the first few cards? Also another question, I'm using JT Moneys Mod, and am waiting 5 mins or so to progress one day, is that normal or what can i do to fix it?
