Just for fun I decided to post my most recent dynasty on the game BBCF. I will take the reigns of Miami FL and build them back to the powerhouse they were. This is a fictional game with fictional players but with real teams. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.

*All articles are fictional, no one actually wrote it.

Shannon out as Coach, McCoy to take reigns

April 8th, 2011

After another disappointing season, Kirby Hocutt, Athletic Director announced that Randy Shannon will be released of his contract. The timing of the firing comes to a shock as the Hurricanes just finished Spring Ball. “The time for Randy to leave was now, nothing more, Coach McCoy has a heck of team on his hands, and we expect him to do the job.” Hocutt said. More of the surprise was the hiring of never heard of Cooper McCoy. McCoy comes from the small town of Gary, West Virginia, no one knows why Miami chose him as their new head man. “We enjoyed the days of players graduating, and being a respect on the field, but that didn’t win games. We like what he brings in his I don’t care but win attitude. That’s what we want.” Miami’s program has been on the change, as players graduation rates have been on the rise. The upcoming season from the Hurricanes looks to be one to see if this never heard of before coach will be able to win at such a lever of College Football.

McCoy Fills out coaching staff

May 29, 2011

Coach Cooper McCoy announced today of three new assistant coach’s. The first hire was June McCoy, Cooper’s older brother, he will take the position of offensive coordinator. No one knows much about June, other than he reigns from the same town as his brother, other than that, not much has ever been heard of June McCoy. The next hire was long time NFL coach, Rex Ryan, who was fired after the 2010 season because of his role in a foot fetish porno. Ryan will take control of the Hurricane defense, and bring in a new excitement for fans. The third hire today was Billy Joe Jones, who is also from the small town that Cooper McCoy and June McCoy came from. Billy Joe was a All State football player, then fell off the map after that. Other than not much has been heard two of the new coaches, and a lot has been heard of Rex Ryan of course.

Offense:

Miami will run a Spread style offense will a balanced running passing game. The Offense is lead by Senior Kelvin Franklin, the Hurricanes have a mass depth at Quarterback. Blue Chip Sophomore Clarence Montoya, who can compete for the job through out the year. The third string quarterback could start for many teams in the conference as well. The running back situation will be a running game by committee, with redshirt sophomore Anthony Patel and Gordon Kennedy splitting the load at running back. Standout receiver Carrol Stanley leads a young wide receiver core, with Junior Nick Jones moving into the #2 receiver position. Kevin Sepulveda will be key in the passing game this year at Tight End and will be looking to have a All- Conference year. The weakness in the Hurricane’s offense is the offensive line, they do not lack size, they lack talent, too say the least. They are a solid bunch, but will struggle at times this season.

Defense:

Miami will run a 4-2-5 defense this year, they made the switch to be able to put more speed on the field. Defensive line is anchored by 6-8 318LB Junior Corey Hernandez. The Linebacking core is strength of the defense, Edward Spence and Wade Knapp will be the starters at linebacker, while Junior Ted Williams will be working in at times. While young, the secondary is very talented, All-American Bernard Noel looks to be the shutdown corner of the ACC this season. His play will determine how well this defense will be able to play.

Overall:

The Hurricanes have a very talented team, and could make a run at the playoffs this season. The grade situation could put a damper on this season, with many starters near the 2.0 GPA, could put their season into jeopardy. Coach Cooper McCoy looks to have a very promising first season has head coach of the Hurricanes.

Hurricanes 26 point favorite against Tigers

Week 1, 2011

Miami will play host to conference USA foe, Memphis Tigers. The opener looks to be a blowout as the Hurricanes are 3 touchdown favorites against the Tigers. “Its Memphis, its like playing a lone D2 school, I won’t be playing much after the 2nd quarter” said Quarterback Kelvin Franklin. “I do plan on putting around 50-60 points on that team.” said Coach Cooper McCoy. “ It would be disappointing if we don’t shut them out and beat them by more than 5 touchdowns. The players already know there will be a punishment on Monday if this does not happen.”

Miami takes on the Green Wave

Coral Gable

After an offensive clinic against Memphis, the Hurricanes take on another conference USA opponent in the Tulane Green Wave. The Green Wave come off a last second loss to the Midshipman of Navy. Injuries have severed the Green Wave backfield, but they were known for being a passing team coming into the season. With Senior Scott Beard playing quarterback, and All Conference USA receiver Mario Easter on the outside, could spell some trouble for the Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes have troubles of their own, with 4 starters questionable on playing on playing on Saturday. Standout receiver Clarence Stanley is probable with a high ankle sprain, and All-ACC Defensive Tackle Corey Hernandez doubtful with a pulled hamstring, could lead to a very young Miami team having to play even younger players. Game time is set for 1:00PM with rain in the forecast.
